We have used ical for appointments, schedule management, event integration, calendar management.
Some members of the team who are apple product users used it exclusively, some others did not, some mixed used it with other calendar such as outlook or Google Calendar
  • integration with iPhone
  • integration with apps
  • easy access
  • communication with outlook and Google Calendar
  • no video integration with zoom
Ical seems very well suited for managing personal calendar, bit not necessarily for more complex professional situations where integration with video conferencing may be necessary, or the need to manage multiple calendars in various time some globally

In our company we have been using this method of Calendar keeping for a few years and it has been of great use to manage our several agendas at the same time, with ease of use between devices. It has also proven to be super useful to manage calendars between team members and their needs and priorities.
  • Ease to create events
  • Possibility to link multiple calendars
  • Simplicity of usage
  • Automated sync
  • Difficult for non iOS users
I have used just about every calendar there is, and this one is for me the best. I use the device shared calendars extensively to get instant updates on my team's scheduled activities and also keep track of meetings for the day, week and month. It also allows me to color code in order to set priorities for them.

I am currently a Mac user and its calendar for more than 9 years and over time the application has improved a lot, for me ical on a day-to-day basis helps me schedule my tasks, schedule meetings, add guests, and even allows me to add notes or links. for easier use. I have the facility to program it on the mac and be able to see it on any iOS device. scheduled alerts and reminders work very well. It is very easy to use, it even allows you to copy events or reschedule them in a very simple way.
  • share calendar with other people
  • creating events and task alerts works great
  • inviting more people to the scheduled task is very useful for scheduling a meeting
  • I would love it to have more visualizations and not just the classic one in a common calendar and that it could be customized
  • You have the possibility to have a face-to-face call by sharing a link that, in my opinion, could be improved by creating groups of only contacts and limiting access to the meeting.
For users familiar with Mac or the iOS family, it will be a great tool since we will be able to create events on any device and have alerts on all of them where our account is configured. It also allows you to link other calendars and see everything on one platform.

We use iCal to coordinate private and shared availability times of our employees to help manage our time better. We have private as well as shared calendars setup and populated with the relevant information needed to plan our upcoming day, week, and sometimes month. Apple iCal allows us to not only plan for the time consideration of the event in question, but the travel time and prior preparation time needed for the event as well. We have notifications setup for reminders before, day of, and time to leave to ensure we are where we need to be.
  • Visual Organization
  • Time Management
  • Notification
  • Integration with Apple devices
  • Populating locations of events can be harder sometimes
  • Location of event may also not be in the correct place (down the street one direction or another from actual location)
  • Populating via another software can be tricky as well
Especially if they use apple devices, I would recommend this over other cloud based calendars for its tight integration with apple devices. You can generally add events by simply highlighting the relevant information and adding to the calendar. Or Apple mail will often automatically detect an event and give to the option to add it to your iCal with a single click of a button.

Many of our users have Apple products. They integrate Google Calendar, Calendly, Doodle polls, and Microsoft Outlook invitations into iCal. The events synchronization across all devices allows the various other event hosting sites to display their calendar entries in one place and on all the iOS Mac OS devices team members use.
  • Event management.
  • Timely reminders.
  • Customizable entries and settings.
  • Webpage based version.
  • Functionality on non iOS or MacOS devices is more limited.
In my experience, Ical is very useful in organizing various calendar sources into one place, as well as real-time synchronization in the cloud. It is easy to integrate links, and media sources, as well as add attendees and make edits. A good example of a scenario is inviting everyone in various time zones to a meeting, and many attendees have their iCloud accounts, but some don’t. Everyone is able to be added to the meeting, showing in their correct time zone and seeing the necessary event details, as well as any virtual meeting, and invite details.

I use Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) everyday in my professional life and my personal life. The problem I faced was keeping my professional calendar from conflicting with my personal calendar. With iCloud Calendar, I can see my professional schedule, personal itinerary, and my family's activities. It allows me to thoroughly schedule all 3 aspects without conflicts.
  • notifications of upcoming events
  • syncing across all my devices
  • syncing all of my calendars
  • time delay of viewing new events when others add events (family sharing)
  • user interface
  • more personalization
Syncing professional and personal calendars is extremely user friendly. I like being able to sync all of my calendars across all of my devices. I like being able to view and schedule new events with my professional, personal, and family calendars in one easily viewed application. It eliminates stress, frustration, and overall annoyance of having to schedule, reschedule or cancel events.

I use Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) to keep track and schedule appointments. The overall look and feel is sleeker than any other calendar system out there. I use a Mac and have an iPhone and feel as though the notifications and calendar view work seamlessly with my devices. It also syncs with my location to show all major holidays.
  • Easy to use
  • Integrates well with other devices
  • Notifications and alerts are tied to other apple devices
  • Sometimes I get multiple alerts for one event
If your company or organization uses Apple products, which most do, the iCalendar is a great tool! It helps keep my day organized in a clean view that is easy to navigate and use. The appointment reminder helps notify me of upcoming events to keep me on track and on time.

Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) is great for managing appointments. It is especially helpful when it comes to making changes and resetting calls/meetings for the future. Working with software demos to clients, we commonly see last minute reschedules and this makes the process seamless. The zoom integration is key for us to automate meeting links being generated and included.
  • setting appointments and easy visually managed
  • zoom integration for automated links
  • rescheduling at the last minute
  • ios app is amazing since I'm usually on the go
  • simpler integration with other calendering systems
  • not much else
I think Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) is best suited for groups that need to be able to easily manage schedules and quick changes. The ability to make changes from the mobile app is huge with stakeholders being immediately notified without the user having to do any extra work. It may be less well suited for teams that heavily rely on other internal calendar systems (outlook or google) because some of the capabilities will be duplicative.

Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) helps our team stay organized and collaborate with each other.
  • Meeting Scheduling
  • Calendar Management
  • Team Collaboration
  • Time Zones
  • Collaborating with external users who have a different calendar app.
  • Lag time with syncing with other devices
Apple iCloud Calendar (iCal) has been helpful with setting team meetings and managing calendars across devices. The search function is accurate and useful, even for events or meetings that took place years ago. The notifications are helpful, timely, intuitive, customizable, and for me, strikes the right balance of getting your attention, without being distracting or annoying. It is less helpful when collaborating with external uses who prefer different calendar apps (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Teams, et cetera). Sometimes, I notice lag time when I create a meeting on my mobile device and having it show up on my laptop, but it's not too bad.

I have been able to keep up with my class schedules and what days we are doing virtual learning. It makes it super easy to view what’s going on on a particular day. It also lines up with my Apple Watch so I can easily see what needs to be accomplished on any specific day.
  • Ease of use.
  • Helps to show a full daily schedule.
  • Syncs with my Apple Watch.
  • Have more colors for various things.
I’ve been able to see at a glance what I have to do on any given day. I also have the ability to share with friends and colleagues things that may be on the internet to them that I have signed up for as far as workshops and professional learning times.

For Apple users, iCal is usually the go-to calendar management software as it's an easy and accessible option since it's already installed on all devices. I consider it a very basic calendar software, it doesn't have as many features, but it's straightforward and the nicest feature is that it seamlessly updates across all devices logged into your iCloud account. It's an effortless way to keep your calendar online/in the cloud, manage schedules, create different calendars (work, personal, family, etc) and keep all updated across devices. An easy way to keep yourself and your team/family organized.
  • Up-to-date calendar across all devices
  • Clean layout
  • User friendly and intuitive software
  • Easy to subscribe to different holiday calendars
  • Quick to add new event
  • Layout seems out of date
  • Features for calendar sharing across organization are basic
  • Third-party integration (ex. Zoom)
The iCal is a good calendar software for someone who owns Apple devices and is just looking for something basic to get started. It's an easy way to stay organized and on top of your schedule online, having it all updated across decides. You can add invites from colleagues and keep different calendars all in one place - it has all the basic features. However, if you're looking for a calendar with more complete features, that will allow you to integrate with third-party software, I'd look for an alternative. If I could describe iCal with one word would be convenient, but it's certainly not my go-to calendar management software.
