Keynote is a versatile presentation software commonly used in companies as an alternative to PowerPoint. Users appreciate its seamless integration with Mac, making it a popular choice among Mac users. Keynote is highly regarded for its efficiency and effectiveness in covering all the essential aspects of a presentation. It offers its own set of advantages compared to other platforms such as Google Slides and PowerPoint. One of Keynote's key features is the ability to create presentations that can be self-edited by clients, providing flexibility in collaborative work. Additionally, Keynote comes pre-installed on all Macs, eliminating the need for additional software purchases. Users find its intuitive interface and ease of use particularly appealing, especially when compared to PowerPoint.

The compatibility of Keynote with iPad and the ability to make real-time changes using the Apple Pencil are aspects that receive praise from users. Design firms utilize Keynote to deliver client deliverables and create visually appealing internal-facing decks for research findings and design concepts. Solopreneurs also find value in Keynote's simplicity and elegance, using it to create presentations that form the basis of YouTube videos. They appreciate Keynote's menu layout which is considered more intuitive than PowerPoint, making navigation easier.

Keynote serves various purposes across different industries and departments. It is commonly used for quarterly presentations, group discussions, and brainstorming sessions where new ideas are presented. Businesses utilize Keynote for pre-event openers, pitch decks, management meetings, and investor updates. Educators rely on Keynote for building class materials and sharing content during classes. The software's functionality has made it a preferred choice in education companies for business proposals and internal presentations as well.

Overall, Keynote is praised by users for its wide range of features and possibilities while maintaining an easy-to-use interface. Its integration with Apple devices without the need for a subscription makes it a cost-effective alternative to PowerPoint. With its ability to create visually stunning presentations and user-friendly experience, Keynote is commonly used across industries for both internal and external communication purposes.

Convenient built-in presentations and animations: Many users have found Apple Keynote to be convenient for creating engaging slideshows due to its built-in presentations and animations. The availability of these features allows users to easily enhance the visual appeal and engagement of their presentations.

Seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem: Reviewers appreciate the seamless integration of Apple Keynote with the entire Apple ecosystem, enabling a smooth workflow and compatibility with other Apple devices. This integration eliminates any compatibility issues or barriers between different devices within the ecosystem, enhancing productivity and ease of use.

Efficiency and user-friendliness: The software's efficiency and user-friendliness are praised by customers, who find it easy to navigate and complete tasks quickly. With an intuitive interface and streamlined design, users can efficiently create professional-looking presentations without being hindered by complex functionalities or steep learning curves.

Limited templates and design options: Some users have expressed a desire for more templates, letter types, and images/pictures to choose from in Keynote. They feel that the current selection is limited and would like more variety in order to create visually appealing presentations.

Challenging collaboration features: Several reviewers have found collaboration to be challenging in Keynote, specifically when it comes to sharing links with others. They have encountered difficulties in seamlessly collaborating on presentations with teammates or clients.

Difficulty adjusting timings and builds: A number of users have mentioned that adjusting timings for builds and transitions in Keynote can be counterintuitive. In reviewing user feedback for BeanFlumper and Keynote, several common recommendations emerge.

For BeanFlumper, users frequently recommend using the self-hosted version instead of the cloud version. They find that the cloud version tends to lag and believe the self-hosted version offers a smoother experience. Additionally, some users recommend purchasing BeanFlumper but specify that it is more suitable for larger companies with over 500 employees.

Regarding Keynote, many users highly recommend it as a presentation creation tool. They suggest using it on an iPad Pro or any Mac(Book) for the larger screen size. Keynote is considered by these users as the best presentation creator on the market and often recommended before any other presentation program. The software's smooth and intuitive features make it an excellent choice for engaging slideshows, particularly for smaller teams operating on iOS with basic needs. Users also appreciate Keynote's various animation tools to add flair and maintain viewer interest. Additionally, Keynote receives praise for its elegant and minimalist presentation styles.

However, there are occasional glitches when sharing presentations in Keynote with PowerPoint users. To address this, some users recommend converting outgoing files to pptx format to ensure compatibility with Windows devices.

Overall, users see Keynote as a superior presentation software option and believe it enhances information delivery by making it engaging and professional.

If you want to create presentations more often, Prezi and Canva or not even options, both of tools take a lot of time. So the real competitor for Apple Keynote is Microsoft Powerpoint. For me, Powerpoint is so feature-filled that makes it a little complex. On the other hand, Apple Keynote is a very simple and elegant, and easy-to-use tool.

Keynote has a simpler interface, which is definitely a plus for us because presentations are edited by people from different departments. It's more elegant and intuitive. In my observations, it also runs faster than PowerPoint on Macs, but that may be subjective. Keynote is also part of iWork and is free for Mac OS users.

While I don't use Keynote for every slide deck project need (software preference often is dictated by what the client has access to), I will promote KeyNote as the preferred format if the client is software-agnostic. The drag and drop feature is incomparable with other software options — a feature I've come to love and miss when I am required to use another program. As previously mentioned, the smooth interface and master template user-friendliness also helps raise Keynote above their competition.

I use Microsoft Powerpoint, Apple Keynote, and Google Slides. Of these three slideshow programs, I find PowerPoint to be the most robust in features and capabilities and in integrations with other programs. It also can be easily used across various devices, platforms, and operating systems and there are versions for both Windows and Mac. Apple Keynote really is just for Apple device users only. Apple Keynote is generally lower in cost than the full PowerPoint application and upgrades are free. Apple Keynote has a more modern visual aesthetic when compared to both Microsoft and Google Slides. The builds and transitions in Apple Keynote feel more modern and 'grown up'. Keynote also has animated backgrounds. Google Slides has the least amount of features of these three slide show programs. It is difficult to create branded presentations for your organization, as you are very limited to the fonts you can use in Google Slides. Since Google Slides is a web-based application, you can't install fonts to use in your presentation. However, the web-based aspect of Google Slides is its strength. It allows you to collaborate with others in real-time on a presentation. So if collaboration is your highest need, Google Slides is your best bet. If you are an Apple user and need your presentation to look great, with minimal effort, Apple Keynote is your optimal choice. If you are computer savvy and need more advanced features and software interrogations, then PowerPoint may be a more suitable option.

Apple Keynote is preinstalled and free to use on any Apple device which makes it very accessible. The ease of use of this tool is much better than the competitive one. The time needed to prepare the nice-looking and high-quality slides in this tool is much lower than in other apps we used in the past.

Keynote is a better visual aid and generally runs better for us since we use MacBooks (less errors when presenting which really matters in a remote context). It takes more effort to get to a finished product though, since we have to neuter what we present (less slides and detail/insight) and collaboration takes more time because it's harder to access and share decks with everyone. It does have a specific niche in our industry though, so I see why we use it, although I wish we did less.

Even though Google Slides makes it easier to share presentations and allow the team to work on one file simultaneously, you just cannot compare it to Keynote. Keynote just makes it so much easier to build beautiful presentations with endless possibilities. From a design standpoint, you can do so much more with Keynote. You have many more option of fonts, it is easier to move things around, and it gives your guides.

To sum up, Keynote is easier to use, less complicated, and elegant. When you use Keynote, your presentation doesn't look like everyone else's. That alone sets it apart as something special. If you're already a Mac user, then it's a no-brainer because the software comes with the machine.
