I use Numbers for all of my spreadsheet tasks. I also use it for form creation, signs, some inter-office documents. I like to use Numbers especially because the tools are intuitive, and consistent. Portabaility between Numbers and other spreadsheet programs is seamless. This is expecially useful when working or collaborating with PC users who likely are using Microsoft products. I have never had any significant issues when sharing files with Excel users.

Apple Numbers is perfectly suited for small to medium businesses. I have not had occasion to use it in a large/enterprise setting, but I cant imagine that there would be any issues there. There was one instance that comes to mind when Numbers presented a challenge when I needed to use a supplied Excel sheet had macros and they did not function properly in Numbers.
  • simple to use...saves time
  • produces high-quality, professional documents
  • very easy to share and collaborate with other team members
Very user friendly and intuitive
Numbers is every bit as good and functional as Excel.

Key Change Management Lessons:
Align with needs: Understand user needs and use cases to ensure Numbers fits within existing workflows.
Training is key: Offer robust training and ongoing support to ease the learning curve.
Start small: Begin with specific, manageable use cases where Numbers excels, and expand gradually.
Manage expectations: Be transparent about what Numbers can and cannot do, especially for power users.
Leverage champions: Use early adopters to help build momentum and encourage others.
Encourage experimentation: Create a culture where testing new tools is encouraged, not forced.
Provide continuous support: Regularly seek feedback and make adjustments to the implementation plan based on user input.
  • Difficulty with cross-platform compatibility
  • Numbers lacks some of the advanced features found in Excel

I use Apple Numbers for any type of spreadsheet -- analyzing growth trends, financial reports, and account balances. Because Apple Numbers is apart of Apple's iWork, I can use numbers across my Apple devices seamlessly. I'm very familiar with Excel, but Excel is clunky on Apple's operating systems. I find Apple Numbers to be a more user-friendly software.
  • Handing off from one Apple device to the another Apple device
  • The simplicity of the layout
  • Creating formulas are easy to implement
If someone uses Apple products exclusively, Apple Numbers is a no-brainer. Because of the ability to hand off documents across Apple devices, it makes it easy to work on multiple devices. If someone is already familiar with Excel, there is hardly no learning curve with Apple Numbers. If someone is working on a PC and Android devices, Apple Numbers is not appropriate. The software will not sync as well and in this scenario, someone should stick with the Microsoft suite package.
  • My clients are in their 20s and 30s. Apple Numbers is a cleaner spreadsheet so it presents my business are being modern to my clients.
  • For my clients that don't "speak spreadsheets," Apple Numbers doesn't overwhelm them. The formatting is visually more appealing than alternative spreadsheet software.
If you're an Apple user, Apple Numbers is for you. If you primarily operate on PC and Android, you will find more compatibility with Excel. Both platforms perform similar functions -- you can create charts, graphs, and figures. Excel was the pioneer spreadsheet software but Apple presents a simpler, more modern, spreadsheet.

A secure spreadsheet for Mac users.

People in my organization use this software for maintaining data sheets of our customers. We also maintain our product details in Apple Numbers. It is very convenient to share these sheets among each others as we all use apple devices. It also helps us by converting our data into graphs for our analysis.
  • Data security provided by Apple on its all the software.
  • Very well integration within the Apple ecosystem.
  • It is very well compatible with MS Excel also.
  • It is available on iOS also. We can use it on our Apple mobile phones and on our iPads also.
For Mac users this software is very productive. It is very easy to use for various calculations and data entry. It also provides high level of security because of Apple ecosystem. So you can save your sensitive data in these sheets. We can avoid using this tool if we need very complex formulas for our calculations.
  • It helps us to organise our data sheets.
  • It helps us to make our client presentations with its graphical representation of data
  • It helps us in our financial calculations.
We all work with Apple devices in this organization. So we mostly use this software. It is very well synced in Apple ecosystem and provide very attractive data representation by its graphics and charts. In few scenarios we use MS Excel also but we always try to stick on Apple Numbers.
