OK for small players, but don't even think about it if you're not.
- I feel we have made some significant compromises in the security of our macOS deployment to continue supporting Apple Remote Desktop
- At the same time, Apple Remote Desktop has provided remote access to workstations without providing access to more privileged pieces of our deployment (scripts, packages, et cetera)
- It is a relatively easy program to learn and teach new staff how to use
- There is a significant lack of auditing capabilities, and a bad actor (whether that is an employee or anyone else) could cause significant damage with relative ease

- Apple Remote Desktop has a positive return on investment because for the expense to the school, the value it brings to teachers is important. The return on improved student performance is very difficult to measure financially, but there is a definite return.
- The overall objective of education is to increase student learning, ARD does that phenomenally. Parents see the tool used and are impressed at what the capabilities of the tool can do and how it impacts how active their students are as well as how well they can learn.
- One negative impact is that teachers rely too much on this tool rather than on actually teaching sometimes.

ARD: Apple screenshare.app on steroids
- Since we were a mostly Mac environment, ARD made a lot of sense and it still does for our core HQ users. However moving forward a cross/multi platform tools would be more valuable.
- ARD is relatively cost effective, no subscription fee, easy to purchase via the AppStore and with Macs, just works.

- Apple Remote Desktop has eliminated the need for me to go to all 60 classrooms daily to troubleshoot and repair computers.
- Apple Remote Desktop does cause some frustration because it is hard to find a lot of scripts to help make it work better for me. I am learning quickly, but learning the scripts is work.
- Apple Remote Desktop has helped our campus be more efficient and allows the students more time on the computers and less downtime on the computers when repairs need to be done.
