From my experience with the Virtual Private Cloud, Aptible Deploy is easier to work with from both a visual and command standpoint. There is much better documentation, and the product is more intuitive. Log setup is also easier for LogDNA and NewRelic integrations. I do believe the IBM Cloud toolchain service still allows for more customizability, but that comes at the cost of simplicity and ease of use. It is also a significant positive for Aptible Deploy that compliance is constantly monitored, with clearly included guidelines on how to meet the respective protocols.

Aptible Deploy excels over Heroku in its emphasis on security for healthcare institutions with higher compliance requirements. Aptible Deploy would allow for a full-service deployment without having to outsource parts of security or compliance to another platform, enabling a more streamlined user experience.

I've not used another tool. This is my first tool, except for ELK and Splunk. It's nothing like those so I really can't compare. ELK and Splunk are visibility tools that help you analyze data. Aptible Deploy is different from those, it's specific to showing you areas to work on for security and compliance in your containers and applications.
Aptible makes managing HIPAA/HITRUST compliance simpler when compared to Microsoft Azure. Passing audits is technically easier when using Aptible. Aptible provides a log drain to deliver logs via Syslog or HTTPS for long-term log storage. Microsoft Azure does not have a portal specifying when controls are in place, something which Aptible does.

Heroku for Regulated Environments
Aptible is basically like Heroku for highly regulated environments. It's not quite as mature a product as Heroku in terms of a broad feature set. Still, for most applications, it will have the necessary features, along with automatic compliance controls.

- Bamboo and AWS CodeDeploy
While I haven't used many platforms for app deployment, I've worked with development teams and implemented both Bamboo and AWS CodeDeploy to automate deployments. Both had a high learning curve that made it difficult to get teams on board.
