ASP.NET is great when we need to build an application that is a performance-centric, dynamic web application, the learning curve is too huge for beginners I will suggest for beginners go with a modern javascript framework. also, Visual Studio is the IDE for building Asp.Net applications is not really friendly to beginners.

We used ASP.NET to build a platform in which we handled multiple problems like Data entry, Summary pages, reporting displays, and build complex logic for profit and loss statements. It works well while using the Microsoft IDE and its intelligence is flawless. I would recommend it works well while interacting with C# and UI

Large apps may require a phased or side-by-side approach when porting to ASP.NET. ASP.NET on its own has many advantages, it is suited for Linux and Windows hosts, where the pricing now can be a lot cheaper if deployed in Linux. You don't necessarily need a windows machine to develop it on, but it does help.

Well suited: for interfaces between machines data and applications. Made as a service. For web applications in factories where you don't have access to thick clients due to the environment. not well suited: quick measurements and fast data transitions between different applications. When time dependency is needed, then you better can choose other solutions.

ASP.NET is well suited for site development on most modern websites and is suited to handle DB integration and dynamic pages well. SPAs can be implemented with backend service architecture with a combined JavaScript user experience layer. Blogging software is somewhere Asp.net has yet to show a real benefit to be used, as most core blogs have been written in other languages.

ASP.NET is well suited to work with the Microsoft SQL Server flavors database. It has an excellent interface library with the database to get the results and store them in a variable. From here, you can display the results using script language to the HTML web page. Probably ASP.NET is not appropriate to do Android development for offline applications. These applications can keep working without a connection to the internet.

ASP.NET works well to build robust web-based systems. It integrates security very well and a lot of components that allow you to build your web pages using a graphic designer. However, the essential elements of ASP.NET are too basic, and sometimes development is accelerated by buying third-party components. ASP.NET also integrates very well with any database. It offers user sessions that easy to implement and are secure.

All websites with a deep duality backend/frontend are well suited for ASP.NET. You can choose where you want to instantiate your code within these two worlds. On the contrary, Web services are not appropriate in ASP.NET because they have no front end; they are better tech to do this.

If you're building a REST API or a Websocket application, ASP.NET is a must-use.

The only reason we would prefer using e.g. NodeJS over ASP.NET is when we need to use a package that doesn't have a good alternative in the .NET ecosystem, which is rare. On such example is pdfkit, which we use to render PDF receipts.

We use ASP.NET, one of our primary programming languages, on every one of our web development projects. ASP.NET allows us to do everything, including front-end programming and business logic. It supports a variety of programming languages, including C-sharp. VB.NET, F.sharp, and others. Also, it integrates with third-party applications. An all-in-one, we can link our application to a database as a case in point. Individual developers attempting to create an app should avoid it if possible. Compared to other web servers, ASP.NET is more resource-intensive and expensive for small businesses. Constant framework updates and tool compatibility were not features that appealed to me.

It is well suited to rapid web-based application development, the programming model (if we are talking about MVC) is solid and provides an excellent foundation. Though I think in modern terms there are better products out there - to me, it is now rather lacklustre and boring (but that might be just because I have been using it for so long). If it was up to me I wouldn't use it anymore - but in terms of working within an organisation - I don't really get a choice.

[ASP.NET is] very well suited for professional development environments and maybe less appropriate for individual developers looking to spin up an app. It easily integrated into Azure so is the obvious choice if you are choosing the Microsoft stack.

ASP.NET is one of the main languages that we use across all of our Web Projects. We use Asp.net in may ways in our department. We use [ASP.NET] for developing most of our web projects using [ASP.NET] MVC for most of our custom applications, and we also integrated our project, which develop using [ASP.NET] with numerous systems. What I disliked is the updates on the framework. And the compatibility on different programming tools. Asp.net uses more Web server resources than others and it is expensive for small companies.

I would recommend ASP.NET for any web-based application that requires business logic or database functionality. I would also recommend it for API services or internal services.
I would not recommend it for front-end-heavy applications or websites that are primarily static pages.

ASP.NET is well suited if you want to do full-stack web development or build some Web API. You can do pretty much everything and a lot of behind the scenes will be handled by ASP.NET itself. Like you can connect your application to a database, do front-end development in razor view pages, write business logic in a lot of languages including C-sharp, VB.NET, F-sharp etc. It also supports a lot of third-party packages to be installed into it.

ASP.NET is a great framework when building web applications, it works well with other Microsoft technology and can be connected to almost anything. It is compatible with most modern web standards and can easily be integrated with other services. It works best on Microsoft platforms but can also work on other operating systems, although not all functionality will be available.

ASP.NET is best for fast development, even if there is a bit expensive software subscription where users can focus on their core application instead of a lot of plumbing work. Not appropriate for applications like a blog or social networking websites. Not suitable where you need to display multiple fragments, and each of them are refreshing frequently.

The service has not performed well, web host servicing breaks down even without notice. When asked the reason technical team says it was server maintenance. If it is server maintenance, a simple email at the time of break down would have made the client aware. This team does not care about the client at all.

ASP.NET is well suited for many different applications. We utilize ASP.NET for SOAP web services and JSON web API. We also utilize ASP.NET for many different sizes of websites, including WCF, ASP Forms and many more. ASP.NET allows us the flexibility to develop web applications for our business needs without having to sacrifice advanced tools.

ASP.NET is great if an organization has a lot of data and needs to frequently update their website and database. It is also great for organizations that want to save developer and maintenance cost. However, ASP.NET may not be ideal for organization that has an existing web application and needs to convert their web application into a ASP.NET framework.
