Users of the software have found it to be frustrating, time-consuming, and almost unusable at times. However, there are still several key use cases where the software has proven to be valuable. One of these is simulation and modeling, where the software allows users to create complex models and simulate different scenarios. This capability has been particularly useful for finding parameters and optimizing plant and heat integration. With the software's powerful algorithms and computational capabilities, users can perform calculations that would be impossible or extremely time-consuming by hand.

Another important use case for the software is in improving communication within organizations. Users have reported that the software has made it easier to share information, collaborate on projects, and streamline workflows. As a result, it is loved by many users in their work environments. They have experienced ease and success in their jobs thanks to the software's ability to facilitate efficient communication and information sharing.

While the software has proven beneficial in these areas, some users have encountered difficulties with basic tasks and have found the program cumbersome in terms of its user interface. They have expressed a need for streamlined tasks and improved automation to make their workflows more efficient. Additionally, navigating the software can be challenging for some users who find it overly complicated.

Despite these challenges, the software is widely used for supply chain management, optimization, and data analysis across global organizations. It has enabled users to expand their storage capabilities to accommodate the extra data generated by the software. Overall, while there are aspects of the software that require improvement, it serves as a valuable tool for specific use cases such as simulation, modeling, communication enhancement, and data analysis in various industries.

Ease of Use and Comprehensive for Educators: Users consistently praise the software for its ease of use and comprehensive features, making it a valuable tool for educators. The user-friendly interface ensures that teachers can navigate through the various functionalities effortlessly. Additionally, the software provides a comprehensive set of tools that cater to the specific needs of educators, including gradebook management, lesson planning, and student assessment.

Efficient Reporting Capabilities: Reviewers appreciate the software's impressive reporting capabilities. It allows users to quickly generate both unofficial and official transcripts for individual students as well as in bulk. This efficient reporting feature saves time and improves overall productivity for educators.

Powerful Process Simulation and Modeling Tools: The software stands out in its ability to support process simulation and modeling in various industries. Users highlight its wide range of equipment options as well as tools that enable optimization and sensitivity analysis. These features provide invaluable support for professionals working in fields such as engineering, manufacturing, and chemical processing.

Lengthy and Complicated Report Process: Some users have found the process of running reports in AspenOne to be lengthy and complicated, expressing a desire for an easier process. This has caused frustration and consumed valuable time for these users.

Difficult to Navigate and Glitchy Software: Several users, particularly those identifying as teachers, have expressed that AspenOne is difficult to navigate and glitchy, making it time-consuming to figure things out. They have encountered issues while using the software, which has negatively impacted their overall experience.

AspenOne Supply Chain Management is being used at our company across the global organization at several departments including mid-level management teams at the plants. We decided to make AspenOne Supply Chain Management as well as the rest of AspenOne suite available via Citrix XenApp publishing so users across the globe can access the application no matter on what device and where they are located securely as our AspenOne Supply Chain Management data is retained in our primary and secondary data centers. It addresses optimization of flow of our products to customers, vendors, and partners while keeping track and ensure in-time delivery and review optimization based on decisions made with better data than we have ever had below. We have so much data that we had to quickly expand our storage SAN to accommodate the extra data generated by AspenOne Supply Chain Management system.
  • Provides a wealth of data and information interpreted across management and supply chain team located at various offices and plants globally
  • Implementation was with relative ease with small dedicated team. Implementation time was also quick from launch to go-live in three business quarters.
  • Excellent technical support from AspenOne and their tier support is knowledgeable on the product.
  • Good bug fixes and quick support along with predictable update release schedule.
  • While AspenOne Supply Chain Management generate a wealth of data and information, the ability to organize and create reports can be time consuming as well as steep learning curve.
  • While incremental updates are predictable, AspenOne major version updates can be difficult to implement with wide user impact causing more downtime than we prefer.
  • Report merge and legacy version conversion tools can be made easier to use with more GUI (graphical user interface) options and less command base as well as status progress graphic and confirmation of completion would be very helpful.
Good for large organizations but can be used across various industries from manufacturing to even medical. Also very Citrix publishing friendly to allow multiple users located anywhere to use AspenOne Supply Chain Management across the organization while consolidating their data in a centralized secure place. This ability to consolidate and centralize applications and data within the same facility makes migration, high availability in DR scenario easier to configure as well.
  • We needed AspenOne Supply Chain Management quickly back in 2013 since our biggest pain point was tracking movement of products and ability for multiple departments and locations to access the information to complete their responsibilities within the organization. Was able to successfully implement in three quarters for go-live.
  • Since our initiation implementation our two major version upgrades did not go as smooth as we would like causing downtime of user access and the system does not have flexibility to run previous version while upgrading to new version. Upgrade path needs to improve to minimize downtime.
  • The business reported quick ROI of better than expected results and the software paid for itself in under three years which beats projection.
  • Centralized implementation makes disaster recovery (DR) configuration easier to manage.
AspenOne Supply Chain Management was a cheaper alternative to SAP HANA and while as not feature-ful and not as easy to integrate with SAP data, the interface was easy enough to configure without the need for HANA. It was also easier and quicker to deploy and implement which alleviated our business pain point. It's like an old saying the best software is the one you can use, now! Our management and supply chain team members have been happy with the product and very few complaints arise from the production usage or performance.
