Best for dealing with data
Atlan is very easy integrable with other data sources which is very convenient and time saving. By switching to Atlan we have increased our productivity and saved a lot of business time. Our team whether teach or non tech adapted atlan very quickly because of its simple UI and interface.
- Here, it is very easy to extract and modify the data.
- We can do very quick and smooth integration over here.
- It's OpenSource framework provides extension capabilities to the API it uses
- They should improve their support process by reducing the resolution time.
- They have a really bad and not detailed documentation, so they should have to work on the documentation as well
- Extraction of data
- In this data catalogue solution data modification is really simple and easy
- Integration with other software tool is very easy
- Altan reduces our business time for dealing with the data.

Atlan - Metadata Management
My team uses Atlan to define a flexible set of metadata - including measuring the quality of said data. Atlan is also a partner of ours so we use it to integrate with our own tool. It also enables the team to automate manual and high-risk tasks to make them error-free as much as possible. In terms of scope, I only know that our sales, CSM, and CX teams use it for similar uses. Our business may use it to a larger scope than that.
- Extensive and seemless integrations
- Tons of automation (in a good way)
- Extremely user-friendly and intuitive to navigate
- API documentation could be improved
- Support team could be quicker in their response
- Not a lot of "help" type information users can self-access
- Ingtegrations
- Dashboards
- UI design
- Atlan has certainly saved time and money by consolidating our metadata sets
- Integrations with Amazon and Tableau have definetely sped up our time to value
The other tools were also solid, we ultimately ended up going with Atlan for these reasons: 1. It improved our compliance and risk management the best 2. Easy to adopt and good pricing 3. Seemed to have the most robust functionality -- especially in terms of integrations 4. Easy to use -- anyone could pick it up relatively quickly
