AutoCAD 360 has proven to be a versatile tool that enables users to comfortably work on various design projects. Users have praised its ability to handle tasks such as creating plans, sketches, installations, and social designs. Organizations have utilized the platform to allow drafters to sync their projects online, making it effortless to compose, edit, and revise drawing files from multiple locations on different computers.

One of the main problems AutoCAD 360 solves is the need for centralized storage. By storing files online, users no longer have to rely on individual computers for file storage, providing a convenient solution for organizations. Users from a civil engineering company have found value in using AutoCAD 360 during meetings with clients to discuss and showcase progress on different aspects of a project, including architecture, structure, waterworks, and electrical installations. Additionally, the product has been employed as a testing tool to enable remote members to view drawings on mobile devices and make markups or changes on-site.

AutoCAD 360 has been instrumental in promoting collaboration between consultants working on projects by allowing them to identify and resolve discrepancies within drawings between different trades. The product has also found utility among engineers in metal framing business units and construction units for interfacing with customers, creating template files, generating construction drawings for on-site viewing, and importing/exporting select files.

Construction companies have relied on AutoCAD 360 for project coordination and sharing with other service companies. This facilitates quick coordination and review of works without the need for paper copies. Students at universities have also found AutoCAD 360 to be a valuable tool for cross-collaboration and efficient group work as it eliminates the need for manual file sharing and enables immediate review of files.

In scenarios such as construction sites where accessing and editing drawings outside of the office environment is necessary, AutoCAD mobile has been widely used. Finally, at a department level, users have utilized AutoCAD 360 to design small elements and prototype lattice structures, saving time by facilitating simple design mock-ups. Overall, users have found AutoCAD 360 to be effective in solving various design challenges and promoting collaboration among team members.

AutoCAD: Positive User Reviews Best 3D Modeling Software: Many users have praised AutoCAD as the best 3D modeling software in the market. They appreciate how it continually evolves to meet the demands of a versatile technological platform. Dynamic and Innovative Features: AutoCAD's dynamic and innovative features have received high praise from reviewers. These features allow for the development of plans and projects in various settings, including cities, fields, and both individual and group settings. Useful for Educational Purposes: Users have found AutoCAD to be highly useful for educational purposes. It can be employed by students, teachers, and organizations involved in the design of complex structures, making it a valuable tool for learning and teaching design concepts.

Cons:

  1. Non-intuitive User Interface: Several users have expressed dissatisfaction with the user interface of the software, stating that it is not intuitive and needs improvement. This has made it difficult for them to perform tasks quickly and efficiently.
  2. Limited and Complicated Editing Features: Some users have found the editing and drawing features of the software to be frustratingly limited and overly complicated. They believe that these features should be easier to use, allowing for more seamless drawing and editing experiences.
  3. Incompatibility with Android Devices: The software's lack of compatibility with Android devices has been a drawback for many users who prefer using Android as their primary operating system. This limitation restricts its usability and forces users to seek alternative options for their mobile devices.

Although there are lots of alternatives to AutoCAD mobile on the Google play store and the app store, many of these alternatives are not professionally developed and are associated with shady developers. So there might be a privacy or security risk with the usage these alternatives. However, DWG FastView is a worthy competing alternative.

I selected AutoCAD 360 because I had no idea how to work on in-house designs, plans, and geographic spaces. I invested part of the time in this innovative tool and I keep using it to have a clear idea of the materials that I should use in the different projects that I evaluate.

The AutoCAD 360 can work directly from the program, making changes or indicating where changes should be made while agreements are reached for the good of the project you are working on, the other systems show you the plan, but they do not help you with the edit or modifications

Although DraftSight is free and open source, AutoCAD 360 is better than DraftSight because more people use it. AutoCAD caters more to the "big" user base. It has a rather large learning curve though, however, there are many Youtube videos on explanations of how to use the commands and the many other functions.

As far as I know, Solidworks doesn't really have any sort of software like this, and that is pretty much the other industry standard I like to use a lot. So there really isn't any other competition out there competing with AutoCAD 360 which is kind of unfortunate as having similar software for other programs would make life so much simpler

Revit is another step above CAD 360 as more information can be added as well as more consultants and third party designers are starting to move toward those programs. I think the cloud compatibility is headed in the right direction and Autodesk is always trying to make the collaboration a more integral part of design.

The best thing about AutoCAD is that it can create a Universal Output for any related software, irrelevant if it was created by Autodesk. Just about any software can interface with dwg or dxf file types to name a few. AutoCAD doesn't have a direct 1:1 that's comparable in my view. It is brilliant for linework but there are better tools for product engineering (Inventor/Solidworks), 3D modeling (SketchUp, 3DS Max), rendering (3DS Max, Maxwell) and linework manipulation for presentation (Illustrator) because they have the related toolbelts. AutoCAD is not a master of any of this but you can certainly create solid output. The mobile capabilities have elevated AutoCAD in the last couple years.
