The Autodesk AEC Collection allows us to complete designs for the various civil engineering fields such as civil services and structural services. The civil services includes services such as stormwater, sewer, water, roads and earthworks design as well structural designs for various features such as buildings, warehouses and infrastructure in the form of stormwater culverts and bridges etc. The product also allows to complete drawings for these projects based on the designs etc.
  • Easy to complete drawings
  • Design of civil and structural services is much easier to complete
  • The product functionality is quite simple and the fact that it is all in one, where in everything can be complete using this product without having to switch amongst different software to complete designs and drawings
  • Some functions can be a bit more simple to use
  • Overall very happy with the Autodesk AEC Collection and don't have complaints as yet
It is perfect for the completion of designs and drawings which fundamentally covers the main focus of all our projects. It is easy to use and works well for both complicated and simple projects.
  • Ease to complete designs and drawings in one software and simultaneously
  • ease of functionality
  • Time saved in completing projects with the ease of use
  • Time taken to complete projects has reduced significantly
  • Results are easier to read and easier to compile
Other products that have been used include Civil Designer and Model Maker for civil services. Other products for structural designs include aq product called "SEDA" These products are not included in the listings.

Autodesk AEC Collection comes with multiple software that we use daily. The primary include Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Infraworks. The AEC collections solve the problem of having multiple design software stored in the same place and allowing for users to access some or all at the same time. Users can collaborate on various projects without any major headache allowing for efficient workflow without getting in each other's way. There is more software included in this collection and we use the others on a limited basis but they work together to create a streamlined workflow within the office and on-site. We have around 3-4 new projects starting every month and all of them use the software from the AEC Collection.
  • Collaboration with multiple users and
  • Software for Computer Assisted Design
  • Saving and Documentation of Plans and Blueprints
  • Accessing software and updates can be a little more intuitive.
  • Downloading software was confusing at first but is easy after understanding the process.
Autodesk AEC Collection is very well suited for Computer Assisted Design Software involved in detailed design of architectural and construction documents Using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and more as well as 3D modeling for characters and Game assets using character generator and 3ds max. The AEC Collection has a good learning system and Autodesk and a community support system. We primarily use the software for architecture and construction planning and design.
  • Revit
  • Collaboration for Revit
  • Autocad
  • Most of the software we use in the office and in the field is dependent on Autodesk AEC Collection.
  • We have been able to record a 20X decrease in job completion time because of the AEC Collection.
I have most of my experience in Revit and AutoCAD from the Autodesk AEC Collection. We used SketchUp for a short period of time because of the low cost of the software, but features in Revit, like the analysis tools, scheduling, and more made things faster and gave a more professional feel to our work and services. We selected to use the Autodesk AEC Collection due to the available software included and the number of tools and add-ins that can be linked to them.

In our organization, we have 4 project managers, 1 draftsman, and 1 BIM Coordinator/manager. Our project managers use the Autodesk AEC Collection with collaboration to combine office design and coordination on-site with contractors and owners. Our Draftsman uses the majority of the software available in Autodesk AEC collection and runs every project through them to get the best product and service.
3
Our BIM managers support our organization as well as people and organizations who need to join our organization to complete a project. This includes managing software licenses, seats, and access to various projects. They also look for new software updates and implementation and process development. Our main Autodesk AEC Collection support is able to work from home due to having everything online and there have been little to no issues with this.
  • Day to day function of all projects.
  • Completion of required documentation for projects.
  • Annual and continuous updates to included software allow for major improvements.
  • Many improvements that we have asked for have been added to the software. This makes using the software easy and efficient.
  • We have been able to use Autodesk AEC Collection to create assets for Virtual Games.
  • We have been able to print and build 3D models for Architecture design.
I gave a rating of 10 because, thus far, Autodesk AEC Collection Seems to be on the leading edge for what is required for the construction planning, implementation, and continued of real-world assets. Autodesk has been a great benefit for our organization and has allowed us to continue to improve not only ourselves but the people we work with. We have been using Autodesk AEC Collection for a number of years and hope to continue for a long time coming.
  • Leica Geosystems, including Jetstream, Register, and Cloudworx for Revit and AutoCAD
  • Unity Reflect
  • Enscape
These three systems, especially Leica Geosystems, have been extremely important for our continuing to grow and develop as an organization. Autodesk has partnered with these systems very effectively. There were no major issues with integrating these systems into our organization and daily operation.

The Autodesk AEC Collection is a suite of applications that allow for computer modeling for all disciplines within my company. It allows for sophisticated 3d modeling of buildings and building systems, as well as site improvements such as grading, utilities, and layout/materials plans. It facilitates coordination between disciplines. We also use it to create construction documents.
  • Construction Documentation creation and management.
  • 3D building modeling, including coordination across disciplines.
  • Management of sophisticated, large, and complex computer model files.
  • Revit is limited in its use for civil engineering and landscape architecture.
  • There are bugs due to the complex nature of the software.
  • Use of software requires the latest high-tech computers.
These programs are great for technical drawing, however, their use for design exploration and conceptual design is limited. Users can create complex 3d models with detailed information attached to the model for a depth of information all in one model.
  • Creation of Construction Documents
  • 3D modeling of architectural systems
  • Management of large document sets
  • Positive impact on collaboration between disciplines.
  • Products are the industry standard, which allows for collaboration with other firms.
