AWS Storage Gateway provides easy Data management and makes uploading files a breeze!
AWS Storage Gateway is more efficient than Unitrends Data Center Backup solutions we've used in the past, because it was 100% cloud based. The AWS Storage Gateway was able to utilize Glacier storage, while Unitrends could only use either S3 or S3-IA decreasing the ROI with the more expensive storage solution.

AWS Storage Gateway is better than Unitrends Data Center Backup and Recovery because it was entirely cloud based. Unlike Unitrends that requires a physical appliance that then would be connected to a AWS bucket. The AWS Storage Gateway was able to utilize Glacier storage, while Unitrends could only use either S3 or S3-IA decreasing the ROI with the more expensive storage class. Furthermore the licensing model for the Unitrends is greater that with the AWS Storage Gateway.

Excellent virtual cloud storage software
AWS Storage Gateway performance is ever excellent since we deployed it in our company. Downloading this platform and installing the setup is easy as compared to other similar products. Virtual data that we get from our cloud servers [are] good in the enhancement of better planning and safety [compliance]. I have been able to integrate the data from our server to our systems to streamline workflow and boost performance.

Storage Solution for Confidential Files

AWS Storage stacks up in compatibility with file format and downloads - the URL can be used with any other application I have - I have had other products that have not been compatible - for my course delivery - hence I have moved away from them to use solely AWS now. Also the high level security available on AWS exceeds other products
We tried Red Hat Ceph Storage since we are a Centos/RHEL shop and there is a lot of engineering expertise on hand to manage it with configuration management tools and automation in place. What we discovered (rather quickly) was that the speed was difficult to bump up into nominal levels for attached disks, the network pipes' size did not matter, and there was an issue with logical disk management that would have added an extra layer of complexity to the whole inception of the product. We would have had to manage a backup of the system to our own buckets on top of implementing the tool.

Simple data exchange between on-premises and cloud infrastructure with AWS Storage Gateway
Most of our workloads are hosted in AWS so we wanted to use a service that was easily integrated with our existing services. We selected AWS Storage Gateway as it provided us with a lot of features that eventually were very beneficial for us and our customers. AWS Storage Gateway lets us provide our customers with an easy to set up and use storage service where they can upload all the information needed by the analytics projects and download the processed information those projects return.
