We are using it as the starting point for all client accounts for all cloud backup, email security and sentry.
  • user creates
  • the expanding of the roles that are allowed, just 4 seems to be too limiting
  • integration of the campus should be self service not a email and wait for 24 hour turn around
At the current state, still recommend but would give them a warning of the hardships and quirky nature of the platform.
  • user create
  • account create
  • updating the licenses is time consuming where one needs to submit a ticket
  • the changing of the cloud to cloud version was not a smooth change, going from v1 to v2 was a huge issue
The platform was a requirement to get access to the products, but it seemed a bit rushed and some of the feature are not consistent, like the cloud to cloud you need to create an admin for the tech to implement vs the creds passed over from ECHOplatform.

ECHOplatform is the cloud console for managing Intronis software installations. In order to manage my backup solutions, appliances, and Barracuda Essentials subscriptions, they're all in one handy console.
  • Centralized console for all Intronis backup software installations
  • Linked connection to the Barracuda Cloud Control console to manage essentials and backup appliances
  • Alerting from backup software can range from simple to complex as well as schedule options
  • Purchasing and activating Barracuda Backup appliances via Intronis complicates the process as appliances use the Barracuda Cloud Console for management.
  • Intronis Backup software could use some improvement on reliability as it requires massaging more often than the Barracuda Backup appliances.
If a backup solution is needed without purchasing an appliance, the Intronis solution does a great job of backing up data and replicating to the cloud. The backup is restricted by total data, so any databases and other items are covered as long as it's under the total data cap.
  • This is a great solution for backups when a backup appliance is not necessary (or within economic range).
  • Local NAS replication can provide faster recovery of data in the event of a catastrophy.
Carbonite is a very good product but Intronis is much better suited for businesses. Acronis is a very comparable product especially as it does such a good job of image level backups of machines.
