I have been able to use BigCommerce with a multitude of other platforms via fully fledged API integrations via StitchData, Zapier, and ShipStation. It has been helpful that these integrations were already built out at a time where we did not have the programming/development resources other than myself who is not a developer.

Right now, we are not using open APIs, however we have incorporated several existing integrations. They all have been very simple to integrate and use. I would like to see an improved way to add or edit gift certificates. There is a simple integration that works, but since one of my customers also has a brick-and-mortar location, keeping gift certificates updated is always a challenge.

BigCommerce has partnered with companies like YotPo to provide a very robust reviews engine that includes custom questions, image and video uploads and keyword search. YotPo also has a loyalty program, content from instagram and more. Because they are partners it was very easy to integrate these great programs. We are able to tailor our website to a great detail.

This is something that I have not yet played with, but something I plan to learn more about and see about exploring more. The ability to do these kinds of things opens so many more options, which is rather exciting, but also unknown areas for myself right now. BigCommerce is really good about supplying help files/videos and of course their customer support is great.

I am able to use various apps and features in order to make the website the way we want it for others to see. I have integrated a shipping app and emailing app. Both have allowed me to expand and do more in less time as well as gather more emails and customer information.

The business has been able to integrate POS data along with other plug-ins that we utilize on a daily basis. With being able to capture all of this data we are able to learn more about our customer's profile along with data trends to better scale the business. In addition, the ease of being able to do all of this has made life much easier for everyone involved.

We use customer groups to separate customers in retail and wholesale (allows us to offer different pricing and promotions) - Inventory is automatically synced between Square for in-store purchases and BigCommerce for online purchases (avoids overselling) - We easily import orders from BigCommerce into Quickbooks for accounting purposes (it saves a lot of time!).

So far we're finding that there's always and app available that can integrate to BigCommerce to give our site the look & feel - plus the functionality - that we're looking for. For instance, we needed a testimonials widget to show customer review on our homepage and we fournd the perfect app that works with BC. There are also great shipping, tax, and esps that integrate right to the platform, making life a lot easier.

We use a handful of third party apps. The integrations with these are normally quite easy to use and allow us to add functionality quickly. They can often be expensive though, depending on the service we're adding. We use APIs to do our own custom updates to our products and catalog.

Our AI-powered search feature uses the API to great effect and this really does give a great customer experience and also drives our category pages, it is a good job really as the default BC search is rather poor. - We also use the API to connect to SAP B1 for order management as well as to a PIM for product management.

Having open API's has made customizations and integrations to other platforms a breeze. Specifically creating new apps for just our website. Our developers had a ton of issues doing this with Shopify, but it has been preety much a breeze with BigCommerce. It has made the jobs cheaper for us, and easier for the development team.

We have integrated with API of Tamper Monkey, Unicommerce, JusPay, JudgeMe and RazorPay. We have also integrated with delivery partner Shiprocket and Delhivery. We are able to use BigCommerce API with these services which helped us to run our operations smoothly. This is just a great application for any product company.

We utilized API for order processing. All of our orders flow into QuickBooks which generates a sales receipt for deposit and finance purposes. The orders then move into the designated distributor for the items that are on the order. Once order has shipped the tracking information is then applied to the order and the buyer is notified. We also have request for samples and these orders also go through API into CRM Dynamics. This has helped eliminate manual processes and errors as well as ease and consistency for our orders.

BigCommerce is great as we have been able to use several of these features. Our products are very unique and BigCommerce gives us the ability to be very specific in how we tailor our experience to the customer. We integrate this with our Inventory Management software as well as our Shipping Software and the integration work great!

There is great potential in the open APIs and I've seen incredible things done with them. In my opinion, it's a great system and really competes. However, I'm a bit disgruntled that there are simple tasks that other platforms make easy to take care of through the online editor that BC really requires you to have to do by API, which is overkill for a simple web developer.

Over the 2 years we've been using BigCommerce we've realized the power of their open APIs and made increasing use of them - initially it was just to call the products so we can show BigCommerce products and pricing on our CMS site, but recently we've begun the transition to a headless store and now offer a more branded e-commerce experience for our customers.

Other than integration for shipping, I'm honestly not using anything super complicated where I'd feel comfortable saying something like oh the open API is easy to use, or whatever. What I can say though, is in the past I was working with a company that was using this incredibly outdated, all-in-one business software that handled accounting, eCommerce, shipping, and inventory and was REALLY bad at all of them, but you know, a cheap solution that the company liked...anyhow, we connected BigCommerce to that nightmare, easy peasy. There were no issues passing any data back and forth, so in my limited experience, the API works great for any app or custom API you might need to connect.
