With its seamless integration with popular accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Xero, users can easily transfer data between platforms, eliminating the need for manual entry and saving time.

One of the key use cases of Bill.com is its ability to automate the entire accounts payable process. Users have found that they can easily scan vouchers to the website, assign them to vendors, and code them to the appropriate chart of accounts. The software also offers automated approvals, a voucher image library, and the option to facilitate ACH payments or cut physical checks. By digitizing the entire AP process, organizations have successfully moved their entire Accounts Payable function to the cloud using Bill.com, eliminating the need for a physical AP department.

In addition to accounts payable functionality, Bill.com also supports accounts receivable functions. As an independent contractor, I am paid through Bill.com. I create an account there, and they send my pay there, where I can then transfer it to my bank accounts.

At least that is how it is supposed to work, if you do everything correctly. If not...
  • Unauthorized users do not have access to your bank account, even if you just forget to authorize them
  • In my experience, it is impossible to change email address on account
  • In my experience, it is impossible to delete bank account (set as inactive is labeled as delete)
  • In my experience, it is nearly impossible to delete Bill.com account
  • Help desk chat could not understand my problem
  • In my experience, it is impossible to edit account without a customer relationship
Bill.com is good for companies to pay people, but I believe absolutely awful for those who expect to get paid.
  • I feel like I am about to quit before I do an hour of work for this company because I despair of getting paid
I have received paper checks and direct deposit from my previous employers. Those are much much easier to use.
The only problem I have had with those is being unable to deposit coin with my check for $x99.96 at some banks.

I did not select Bill.com, my employer did.
I could not explain to them how I was trying to remove an old email account from my company page while granting the new email account access to the bank account that the first email account had added. The "set a bank account as inactive" button is labeled delete, but they don't seem to recognize that.
I requested my Bill.com account be deleted on Wednesday so I could start all over with a fresh account; this seemed to be completed Wednesday night, but when I tried to create a new Bill.com account from the same email, it took me to my old bill.com account.
No.

I currently have no other reason to pay for an enhanced account, and I am the one getting paid through the system rather than the company who is paying their people through the system. And at this point, I don't have the money to justify another expense of this nature.
In my experience, it is impossible to change the email address on the account and nearly impossible to delete a bank account. In my experience, it is difficult to explain problems to support staff and nearly impossible to delete accounts to start over.

Bill.com is a very important part of how I sell our services at Supporting Strategies. I speak about how it streamlines the bill paying process for our clients (we are bookkeepers).
  • Builds in work flow for bill routing and approval.
  • Eliminates paper check runs.
  • Makes tracking the bills easy.
  • From a sales perspective, there's nothing about Bill.com that I think should change.
  • Your technical folks could answer this question better.
If a company just can't grasp the idea of having us process their payables electronically, it might not be a fit. Sometimes, some companies just want things done the manual way. Also, if there are not enough bills to justify cost of Bill.com (which is rare), it might not be a fit.
  • From sales perspective - major ROI - I sell it on every call
  • Faster lead conversion
  • Definitely increased employee efficiency for our bookkeepers
I have not used another product like Bill.com

It's the best product on the market for bill pay.
I didn't affect the buying process.
  • Don't know
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation
Going from manual check runs to Bill.com required educating ourselves and our clients, now it's ingrained in our DNA.
  • I did not implement.
I heard from my leadership that it went very well.

It's always been positive.

I don't call too often, so "exceptional" support, I cannot say.
  • QuickBooks integration
  • Getting the notices saying "Bill.com has paid" you, so that you know to look in your bank account
  • I can't really say any are cumbersome... the functions for which I use it are very easy.
Always easy for me to navigate and I Iove the notifications of when I've been paid my expenses.
