Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use Bing Maps in several ways mostly as the aerial view to get a good look at the facilities and warehouses company drivers pick up and deliver to. This helps identify any obstacles in the roadways, whether or not the vehicle is traveling through residential areas or obstructions in the facility.
Pros and Cons
  • Close ups on the street 360 is very clear
  • The to and from for directions is very accurate
  • The features are very user-friendly
  • Would like to see integration of more commercial vehicle features
  • A feature that gives toll prices in advance would be helpful
  • Weather alerts would be a good feature to include
Likelihood to Recommend
Bing Maps is well suited for preplanning loads, specifically in regards to checking the bird's eye and aerial view to see if the facility has enough area or room for overnight parking. And if overnight parking is available, what number of restaurants are within walking distance from the business in the area.

Alternatives Considered
Home Depot and Lowes are both in the same category and offer great products and services but each have something a little different the other doesn't offer or have. Likewise, Bing Maps is in the same category as Google Maps but offers a little something slightly different in the features.

Bing Maps is used for locating of sites for the various projects we work on. It is also used to obtain directions and the distance to travel to these sites across Africa. Using the aerial background backdrop and street views allow us to determine the layout of the site and and characteristics of the terrain and surrounding services, and what the land is like in a preliminary state before we go to the actual site.

Likelihood to Recommend
Bing Maps gives access to clear background aerial imagery. The imagery and street views are quite up to date which helps quite a bit. There should, however, be more features included on Bing Maps.

These products are very similar in nature. We do alternate between these software but as of recent Bing Maps has been used more often. The imagery is good and the product is easy to use.

I use Bing Maps to manage locations for our business addresses at Streitwise. This entails multiple locations we own and placing the property locations on the map for users that are visiting the property can see. This helps Bing users view our locations we own when traveling to the properties.

Bing Maps is essential for local SEO management and on-site marketing for those that own or manage property locations. This greatly enhances local marketers at the hyperlocal level manage their businesses more effectively and help customers find the business locations when using Bing Maps or Bings Search. This also helps those that have shifting business hours.

Alternatives Considered
Bings Maps is very similar to Google Maps. I like Bing Maps' 3d mapping ability over Google Maps and their Street View is just as good. I do like how Bing Maps attempts to communicate with us about upcoming holidays so that we can communicate business closures to end user customers or visitors.
