Birdeye's product is decent it works like a lot of the review software out there but better than some. I used Birdeye for a lot of my clients but it would be a disservice to not tell people to beware! When you are about to sign up they are all about servicing you and once you sign the contract you are left high and dry, the rep I worked with made many promises non came true, I also found out that the product I was told I was getting in fact wasn't and when I made it clear I would not be renewing all the services they were all over us to renew. They never fixed out billing issues and auto-renewed for all the licenses. They are skillful at bait and switch, from product issues, sales issues, lies, and deceit to billing issues I would not recommend them anymore! If you are an agency look elsewhere and if you are planning on using them do not sign the contract with auto-renew they do not keep their word! You are just a number to them!!

The product is decent but not worth all the troubles, as an agency I spent probably over 100 hours trying to fix issues that were never fixed which have harmed our business and our clients, you are only a number to BirdEye they only care about getting money from you and signing a contract that they can illegally auto-renew! Also, beware of the bait and switch they do this best!

We use Birdeye to manage our online reputation and customer experience across multiple organizations. Birdeye improves our online image by increasing review quantity, quality, and the overall rating level. Birdeye also improves the customer experience by giving us the visibility and tools we need to swiftly address any customer concerns or issues.
  • It is simple to use. The features are straight forward and do what they promise; improve and maintain your review rating and volume, while also managing the customer experience.
  • Reporting is a strength. Birdeye makes pulling relevant data and visuals for my executive team a snap. They can easily see what they are paying for.
  • Client support is top notch. One day or one year later, their support team is always communicating to ensure you have the best experience. It saves me time and improves performance.
  • Birdeye is always innovating. I am amazed at the amount of useful products and features that Birdeye continues to add. There are a few features that are not very useful, but we benefit from the majority of the features.
  • Scalable. There are currently no caps on the amount of users that can be added at no additional cost to the organization and you can add a single location to thousands.
  • The sentiment feature is just okay. It requires custom adjustments and time to understand where it is working well and where it is not in order to get the most out of it, while other features require very little user input.
  • Social listening needs work. I often receive notifications for unrelated terms because of their similarity in spelling to my organization's name, so I don't use this feature.
  • Birdeye could have more built-in features to create digital content from the reviews.
  • Birdeye could also have additional reputation tools to strengthen GMB listings and to combat negative press. Review listings and rich snippets in search are great, but having a tool that measures and helps to improve overall brand health/search results would be amazing. My CEO isn’t looking at what is going right. He looks at what is going wrong. We may have thousands of positive reviews on Google, but the bad article with false information is still showing up on page one of search results. That makes for an unhappy CEO.
If you want to increase online review volume and ratings while saving loads of time, Birdeye will do that for you. Small or large business, Birdeye can support you. Birdeye does not include support for all 3rd party review platforms based on the policies of those platforms; however, Birdeye is willing to work with its clients and aggregate 3rd party data into their platform so that you can stay on top of your reputation and client needs without the need to spend time always heading to those 3rd party websites.
Before we even purchased Birdeye their team was incredible to work with. Their implementation team was fantastic and they continue to provide a high level of support throughout the entire relationship.

Birdeye is used by the leasing department of our company. It is a feature on our website that allows any prospective tenants to chat with an AI or us instantly. It helps direct leads more appropriately than other AIs in the past, and it can answer basic questions quickly, allowing leasing professionals (like myself) to continue working on other tasks.

  • Small but noticeable feature/tool on website (not too annoying for people who don't want to use it, but clear for those who do)
  • Great on the back end; the professional end--easy to see the questions people have and who has responded to what already
  • Clear notifications to our team when a prospect has a question that Birdeye cannot answer.
  • Usually, Birdeye gives you sixty seconds to respond to a question from a prospect if Birdeye cannot answer it before it goes to text. For me, that is not quite enough time to type out a quick response. I'd rather just stay chatting on the website before going to text. I need about 90-120 seconds at least.
It is well suited for companies that get a lot of traffic on their websites at night or on the weekend when full-time staff are not available. This helps give prospective tenants answers when they need them. It is helpful for smaller companies, like us, because we spend a lot of time one on one with our tenants and prospects. We have multiple responsibilities, so to use our time most efficiently, it is more helpful to have an AI source respond to easier questions than having one of us monitor it all day or field phone calls. Fewer and fewer people like talking on the phone these days and they much more comfortable chatting on the web or via text. It might be less appropriate for a place that does not have staff during the day to respond to harder questions. If you only had one or two employees and Birdeye, it might get overwhelming to do all your duties plus respond to Birdeye questions.

We also use the email blast feature relatively often. The Birdeye platform is primarily used by our leasing department. It addresses the delay in communication and also provides excellent transparency for our employees.
  • Birdeye allows us to chat with prospects who are actively live on our website so we can help them in real-time!
  • Birdeye allows us to manually send review links to customers we know have had a great experience with us.
  • Birdeye allows us to send mass emails in a much simpler format than our property management software.
  • I really don't have any examples of things I'd like to see Birdeye improve. The service is very easy to navigate and understand.
Birdeye is a great tool to use to narrow the gap between us and our customers. Sometimes asking for a review in person can be uncomfortable or come off as pushy. Having a third party ask for the review in a way that we can completely customize helps us to get more reviews in a way that is less offputting to the reviewer. If there are any issues, we have an opportunity to rectify them and make it right with the customer. Having the capability to push the positive reviews onto our social media and professional website was the main reason we wanted to work with Birdeye, but the interactions function has proven to be a big reason why we will continue to use Birdeye. The chat function works very well for us to be able to directly interact with customers live while they are on our website. Their contact information is captured and it creates a really seamless contact card for us to use in the future.

Birdeye has been a huge help for our company. We use all of the features available to monitor our reputation across all channels. Our team is provided instant access to customer feedback, and our management team receives weekly reports so we can monitor trends, address issues within certain units, and work to provide excellent feedback and responses to our customers review insights. It has been a hugely helpful platform for us and helps us save time and be more effective.

Before the pandemic, we used Birdeye to manage our online reputation and reviews. They were a good fit for us, despite being expensive. We chose them primarily based on their reputation for quality and small-business-centric features and service.

  • Lack of options to help the Small Business Community recover from pandemic (not even short-term price breaks).
  • A "Too Bad" attitude toward customers looking to return to them.
  • Price gouging, profiteering from the country's collective crisis.
In April 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a huge drop in revenue for our personal services business. This coincided with my 1-year re-up for my Birdeye premiums, but for us it was a choice between renewing a software license and paying our employees. I could not afford it at the time, so I asked Birdeye to suspend my account until I could afford to re-subscribe.

Fast forward to April 2021. We were one of the lucky small businesses that could pivot enough to survive, despite some of the most drastic lockdowns and limits on in-person business operations in the country. Our local economy started opening back up, we started seeing an uptick in business, and we decided it was time to restart with Birdeye.

But when we reached out, they informed us that they had MORE THAN DOUBLED their pricing during the pandemic, and we no longer qualified for our prior plan. They have zero sympathy for recovering small businesses whatsoever. Instead, it seems they are looking to profit from the country's collective misery by gouging formerly loyal customers.

We use Birdeye with our medical practice clients to track the online reviews for their locations and physicians. In addition, we use Birdeye to analyze online reviews for process improvements, training, and customer experience. We also use Birdeye to request feedback from patients via SMS and email. This, in turn, gives our customers much more feedback to base their decisions on while also improving the overall SEO and online presence across Google. The additional reviews also help new patients choose a physician or practice with confidence by seeing the commitment to customer service that these practices and physicians have.

We started using Birdeye to aggregate customer reviews from multiple platforms and publish them on our website and Social Media accounts. We have recently included their Virtual Receptionist (VR) and Chat feature which we have integrated onto our website. The VR allows customers to leave a message and the message is converted from speech to text. We can review the audio of the message or view the converted text which is also available to communicate with a customer via SMS. The chat feature allows customers to communicate with us via SMS thru our website

We began using Birdeye a few years ago to improve our profile and encourage patients to review our medical office so we knew what we were doing correctly and places we can improve.

  • So far there is nothing I can see Birdeye improving upon. I would just want to make sure they keep up on the newest most successful platforms available.
Birdeye has been an excellent fit for us. They are able to perform their daily data pull without us ever knowing, it's seamless. Our patients have responded favorably and left some wonderful reviews and a few not so good, but few and very far in between. It's easy for them to leave reviews, not complicated at all.
Customer service from implementation to a few follow up questions have always been handled with knowledgeable staff who are very nice.

Birdeye is used for our HVAC, plumbing, and electrical clients who subscribe to our review generation product. It is used within our reputation/SEO department. It helps to improve our clients' visibility and rankings by acquiring more third-party reviews. Being able to offer automation is a huge driving point to earn our clients more reviews.

  • FieldEdge not being a true full integration
BIrdeye is a strong product. It works well for someone who is willing to fully automate review requests. The easiest platforms to integrate with are ServiceTitan, Housecall Pros, and QuickBooks. There is an opportunity to build your own templates for review requests and responses. The two-way texting feature gives customers another avenue to contact the company through.

Since FieldEdge is not a true platform, integrating with it can make things a little complicated when trying to control who receives a review request. Also unless a client is able to create a new user with admin access in FieldEdge, it can cause some issues if someone tries to sign in when someone else is already using the account.

We use it to better assist in gathering patient reviews and surveys. we use it across our whole organization. It is the most efficient software platform we have found in that space to get the job done. We used others and it was not nearly as successful or intuitive. We have had amazing results thus far.

If you are using another software system to ask patients for reviews, but aren't seeing the results, MAKE THE SWITCH. Their system is the easiest and fastest FOR THE CUSTOMER, which results in more reviews.

We use Birdeye primarily for brand reputation management and curation of online reviews. We use it across our entire organization and have built it into our front-line staff's workflows when assisting our members. It has significantly impacted our online brand presence, since prior to working with Birdeye we had virtually no online reviews out there.
  • Their support is excellent. Always fast and efficient.
  • Implementation was easy and fast. You are assigned an implementation manager to get everything connected.
  • Birdeye is constantly innovating and creating new value through added features and functionality. They're much more than just online review curation.
  • There really are no cons in terms of functionality.
  • It can be a bit pricey depending on your industry and how many locations you have.
I would highy recommend Birdeye to any company or industry that is actively searching to incorporate a proactive brand reputation management strategy for their organization.
Support is excellent. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable. If there's an issue that is more in depth, your ticket will be escalated and addressed quickly.

We currently use Birdeye internally and externally for all of our reputation management client base.

  • Reporting! Please make them look client-ready instead of being so .csv-heavy.
As I've not used other platforms much, I'm inclined to think Birdeye does what it does well and better than most. Bringing Birdeye to a client immediately sets them at ease for the tasks at hand.
Support can always be better. I feel like there are shifts in leads at Birdeye all the time and it's hard to create a relationship with someone only to then be told you're being re-assigned. Would be nice to stick it through with someone for more time than a year or less. Not sure of the varying degrees of support and what's offered based on how much you spend with Birdeye, but that seems to be a heavy factor on the outside looking in.

BirdEye has a "chat" button on my website that allows potential clients to text me regarding legal issues they are experiencing. It also provides a rating service that is texted to clients after legal services have been provided asking them to rate how we did bases on a 5-star system.
  • The rating process is very easy and quick for clients to use.
  • It being quick and easy results in clients actually rating my services.
  • None that affect me. However I know that my web manager had issues with the chat button being buggy on the website.
BirdEye is designed to get clients to rate your services. I have had the most success in having a client rate my services on the day my legal services have concluded. Having the service be sent by text message to my client is the most effective way to get a response. I have (on my own, without BirdEye) tried emails in the past which were ineffective. Test messaging works best.

We use Birdeye for our Reputation Management online. We have tried several other companies in the past and were never satisfied with the results and therefore canceled the service. Within one month of using Birdeye, we have the results we have been looking for! We have received more patient feedback in one month with BirdEye that we have in the past 10 years total. We are hooked!

  • I have not found anything about Birdeye that is difficult or that we are unhappy about. We LOVE it!
If you are looking for a better online presence with positive customer reviews, this is your product! BirdEye makes it so easy and your customers can choose to leave feedback at their convenience with a gentle reminder a day or so later. No more asking people face to face to please take the time to give you a review. Your staff is happy and your customers are happier by not being put on the spot.

We use this system to help us provide the best patient service we can. It gives us insights into patient needs and wants. We find it to be the most cost-effective reputation management tool on the market.
