Excellent product but difficult to set up for non ITOur agency operates Supportive In-Home services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. As such, our networks must comply with HIPAA securities. Our administrative workforce has Bitdefender installed on on each computer. Additionally, it is installed on our lab computers used by staff to complete sensitive transactions online and general use. Most of our workforce are field users (the persons providing the direct care). These employees are provided tablets to access our Electronic Health Record system. It did not seem practical or necessary to install a mobile version given the limited use we have deployed on the tablets. Business problems are generally minimal. However, unless the administrator knows how to access and configure policy assignments and monitor activities, it is difficult to know how to set up and deploy. It happens that I have used, deployed and implemented polices when I worked for an IT company. It was because of this experience that I chose this option for my company. The other business problem is that while I made a purchase though Bit Defender web site, the license increases and renewals needed to go through an independent vendor. The parten company does not do a good job explaining this.,The Gravity Zone console is quite easy to use, particularly if the person assigned to implement and deploy have a good understanding of how to make it work to get at the information needed. The Dashboard is customizable to get at the information needed in one location. Pushing tasks across the network is quite easy. Having said the what is available in gravity zone, it is easy to see what devices have activity that frequently result in quarantines. This allows us to address "misuse" of our devices. Which brings me to my final point... The policies can be set up to lock devices down with very strict rules (such as device locking) or with relaxed policies.,Who do I ask? This is my chief complaint is once the initial licenses were purchased through Bit Defender, there was no one to contact that could help navigate some of the initial questions I had with regard to specific policies to implement for our file server. The parent web site is, well, hard to navigate when one is trying to "learn" the system. The second issue is in increasing the licenses. It took several days for the parent company (by contact and phone) to inform me that they could not increase the licenses and I would have to go through a private vendor. There was no intent to connect me to a vendor or provide a vendor list until I asked specifically. YET I continue to get email from the parent company reminding me to pay an annual fee for the licenses purchase through the private vendor. The parent company can see the number of licenses yet did not sell them to me. Gravity Zone Dashboard, while excellent for those who have experience, is not particularly intuitive for those who have never used it. There does not seem to be a lot of documentation for those responsible for implementation.,8,The return of investment has been better than cost neutral in that the policies we have set up has to date has resulted in 0 security incidents. Becuase out company has only been in business 18 months and the only AV we have used is Bitdefender. This is reason that the return on our investment is at least cost neutral The outcome we intend to achieve is have 0 instances of infected or compromised computers on our network. This outcome has been achieved. This is an area of our annual security risk assessment and we are pleased we have not had to take any action due to Bitdefender missing anything. We have successfully implemented policies to limit certain web sites and block usb devise on our lab (essentially public) computers. Another area address in our security risk assessment.,We have benefited from the centralized console. As previously stated, having the ability to control what we see on the dashboard helps us focus on the ares we need for the purposes of efficiency. The reports are also easy to find and use. A needed task for assessing risk over time. The pitfall lies in minimal documentation available to the lay community on how to use gravity zone and make custom configurations on the dashboard and throughout.,We use the monitoring of running processes as par to of our risk assessment practices. In terms of machine learning, signature and memory protection, I am not familiar with these additions. As such, I will need to research what I can, knowing I may not be able to find documentation that supports my learning.,VIPRE,2Protection and Peace of Mind with Excellent ValueWe use Bitdefender GravityZone across our whole organization. We have it installed on Apple and Windows devices, about 18 in total. We were having issues with a consistent platform to ensure we were protected from viruses on computers. Each device had something different and we decided to purchase a product to have consistency throughout our devices to ensure we were properly protected. It addresses the issue we had with not knowing if we were protected enough from security risks and a way to monitor each device.,Easy interface for all device monitoring. Automatic scheduling of anti-virus scans. Responsive customer service.,Sometimes automatic scans do not happen and have to initiate manually. More detailed reports of scan and results would be helpful in order to analyze devices productivity. Faster scans.,10,18 currently installed devices are operating at a high level, with no viruses infecting them since installation. 1 device scanned and found several apparent threats, quickly put them under quarantine and deleted.,Our organization has benefited from this centralized management because any of the management team can log in and see the progress and devices and how they are running. This is useful because at any time someone can log in simply. We can also pinpoint any problem issues that certain devices may have and address them.,We are a pretty simple outfit here, so we don't utilize the endpoints like machine learning, signatures, memory protection as much as we should. We feel safe with how we are using Bitdefender now, to combat antivirus, phishing, etc. We feel protected knowing that these multiple protection layers exist to keep us safe but we overall keep our approach from simplistic.,McAfee Endpoint Security,10Works for us!We are a managed service provider. We use Bitdefender internally and for our clients.,Single pane of glass Unobtrusive Easy to deploy,If the downloaded tool fails, it has to download all over. Would be nice if it caches the install file for later use. Cannot install if Malware Bytes is installed, but works fine if MBAM is installed after. Cannot move machines from one company to another without reinstalling.,9,Tickets for false positives have dropped to near zero compared to our previous offering.,As an MSP, a management console is a must. Bonus points for each tech having their own login, permissions, and multi-factor.,We have not experienced any major outbreaks since using Bitdefender. The website scanning is especially useful. We do still have to deal with odd extensions, toolbars, and such, however.,Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security and SentinelOne,10Good review for a good product!I resale the Bitdefender Cloud antivirus and use the GravityZone to create the packages and rules. I use it as a monitoring tool as well for all my clients.,Deployment of client Rules for exclusions Monitoring or all assets,Better overall stats and pie chart for a quick dashboard of all clients. Risk assessment or improvement scanner,10,Time-saving for sure is the outcome of GravityZone. So far we had no issues with the detection, and as soon as the agent finds something it is usually taken care of automatically.,We do benefit as we don't have a lot of staff. I can perform all my tasks in one location. Time and money is saved here.,It has given us the trust that our clients need. We know everyone works differently and has many different files. We suggest to clients that this antivirus will catch all of them.,,10Bitdefender for a charter schoolWe use it on all of our computers in our school to help keep us safe. Our entire organization uses it and we have only had good things to say about this product. We will continue to use it for many years to come. It is a good way to see if any viruses have been installed on the computer.,User friendly Quick to install Keeps computers safe,Can get a little pricey,9,We have caught a lot of viruses while using this product which has then helped our computers stay safe. Teachers have liked it because after installing, there isn't much they have to do. It does things on its own which means it saves them time in the long run.,We have benefited from this console because it has allowed admins to see everything as a whole. It shows which computers have threats and also lets us know if we have computers that don't have the software. If we don't see it in the console then we need to put Bitdefender on that computer.,I think we have benefited by the fact that it has so many layers of protection. It adds more layers that a threat has to get through to infect a machine and so we end up with more protected computers compared to software with only one layer of protection.,AVG AntiVirus Business Edition,10Does what it says on the tin! We're a technology company, SME size. Having tried various and somewhat inadequate anti-virus / anti-malware products I decided to try Bitdefender's enterprise offering, in the form of GravityZone. I was familiar with Bitdefender's home user products and liked the fact that independent testing consistently showed Bitdefender's detection rates at the top of the rankings, so was keen to test their enterprise product. Our objective was to protect our internal network from malware and other threats. We've installed across the organisation and I manage everything from the web-based admin console. It works very well.,Detection rates are industry leading, and with very few if any false positives. The endpoint software is also very lightweight. We've had problems with previous alternate AV software hogging resources. Not so with Bitdefender GravityZone.,Something I find irritating when using the web console to administer or view reports etc, is that you can't use the browser 'back' button! I've also found at times the remote deployment to be a little unreliable. I've had to resort to using 3rd-party tools to deploy to some machines on our domain.,9,Another odd question, but as an antivirus product is more like an insurance policy it's hard to quantify the ROI. All I can say is Birdefender has detected and removed threats which may otherwise have gone on to cause damage.,Centralised management of our AV software simply saves time, and makes it far easier to a) ensure each client has the correct configuration, and b) make global changes to policy and configuration without visiting each workstation.,Really all I can say is yes we have seen in the logs that some malware and threats have been detected and blocked, so yes that's beneficial. It's an AV product, it does what it says on the tin. For the record though it does it very well!,Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection and Webroot Endpoint Protection,9One more network safe, one more network protected....BitdefenderBitdefender GravityZone is being used at our two libraries to meet the demands for our information technology security. We count on Bitdefender to protect us from Malware, Viruses, Ransomware, etc... We are also using the web filter option to filter out pornography and so on. I enjoy the user interface provided by Bitdefender. We could not be more pleased and I plan to renew our subscription when our renewal arrives.,Great success with the web filter. Once I've entered a site to be blocked, within several minutes I can test and see that the site is, in fact, blocked. The ease of installation is paramount. Logging into the gravityzone website is a breeze. Right in front of you is the offer to "install on this machine" option. Very easy to use. The portlets on the dashboard are the best. Once arranged to my liking - it's a sure fire and quick way to glance at the network health overall. The ease of pushing commands and instructions to individual machines under the network menu option is fantastic. I can select a single machine for a scan and many other things or can select the entire network. Love the detailed info that is given for any chosen machine.,Had a little trouble when deleting a computer from the network list. Learned it was best to move it to the deleted folder first, then delete from there. Maybe this could be noted by an * or something at the bottom if one is going to delete a computer. Maybe send a verification email if logging into the website from a new device or one that is not used often and then add that machine to the trusted list for devices that can log on. Offer a user interface choice or theme so that we may change to color of our dashboard.,10,We sustained and survived a malware outbreak a few weeks ago. Bitdefender came through with flying colors and protected all attacked machines. The constant updates and different modules are a must. It's nice to see the info box that appears near the menu bar informing of what Bitdefender has just done. IE - updates, a program has been allowed to connect to the Internet, etc...,We most certainly have. To be able to manage all the computers on our network from a single console and dashboard takes it to another level. Bitdefender already has my trust and my attention. Being able to work with my network from a centralized console takes it to another level, for sure!,I'm not certain we have that protection package active at this point.,Norton Small Business,9Bitdefender GravityZone ExperiencesWe use it for our entire organization for virus protection. We chose to have all our users on the same protection plan.,Users are protected without them having to manage the product themselves Being able to manage computers in our organization thru the cloud is especially helpful when we have users all across the country and South America Bitdefender uses less computer resources than many other virus protection products we've used in the past,I do not like having to correspond by email. When I have an issue I do not have time to wait 6-8 hours for a reply. I want to do a chat or a phone call. I find their cloud dashboard a bit challenging to navigate. I can never find the option I need without searching thru every category. I do not like that it takes 48 hours for the cloud to update when there is an issue with a client computer when I am working on it remotely.,8,Many of our finances are done on line and we needed to have a good virus protection program. This is the best one we've tried in the last few years.,8,7,Symantec Endpoint Protection, Kaspersky Endpoint Security and Norton Small Business,Malwarebytes, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, Microsoft 365 BusinessBitdefender GravityZone is the perfect security solution for the average business ownerOur web design business uses Bitdefender GravityZone to secure our high-end business computers. It keeps our systems safe from hackers and viruses and is very easy to set up and use. It does not slow down our operations in any way. The configuration, set up, management, and monitoring are very simple and easy, and the software is streamlined with simplicity and ease of use.,Bitdefender GravityZone is well suited for small or medium-sized businesses that need strong security because it's makers put a lot of extra thinking into the software. The web-based administrative management panel is very robust and modern. The software knows how to detect new malware and viruses based on complex algorithms.,Reporting can get complicated, especially if you are managing a lot of users. Customer service is not the fastest or most thorough in their responses. Their documentation does not make it easy to browse through and find instructions.,8,Bitdefender GravityZone provided a great return on our investment as our systems remained secure and virus free, increasing productivity as well. Bitdefender GravityZone has an easy user interface that speeds up our end users time management. Although their customer service is not the greatest, most of the time their support is not even needed in the first place, because the software is self-manageable.,Webroot SecureAnywhere,Webroot SecureAnywhere, Webroot Endpoint Protection, Webroot BrightCloud, Bitdefender Network Traffic Security AnalyticsBitdefender GravityZone ReviewSeemlessly deployed across nearly 50 endpoints across the state of Texas.,Great visual reporting. Easy deployment. Resolution of threats.,I’d love to see the ability to have remote access to systems with issues.,10,Great protection for an affordable price.,Love it!,Keeps my systems secure.,Avast CloudCare,1Best AV Program for my businessWe are a reseller of Bitdefender. It is being used in our company and by all of our clients. IT allows us to be able to monitor all our clients from one portal.,One portal: able to see in one view if any of my clients have any issues. Easy to install Lots of control options for each install.,Easier to understand any license issues with each client. Too many running services. Really seems to use a lot of resources when running scans.,9,Easy install, not a lot of reinstalls need like SEP.,This was the biggest selling feature for me when I choose to switch.,Bitdefender was able to find viruses on machines that had been running SEP for years.,,9Bitdefender GravityZone ReviewBitdefender GravityZone is being used across the whole company (three locations). It is used on physical endpoints and also on virtual desktop endpoints (VMware Horizon View).,Integrates well with VMware NSX to support virtual environments. Fairly easy to set up in VMware NSX virtual environments. For both physical and virtual environments it is fairly easy to set up policies to control how/why/when/which pieces of Bitdefender. Fairly complete "dashboard" to manage the environment(s). Good integration with Active Directory.,When kicking off scans (or other tasks) from the GravityZone dashboard it creates a task - and until the task is complete, what is happening can be a little vague. I'd like to see a little bit more detail on the progress perhaps. Reporting, scheduling reports can be cumbersome. Might be better if it had some sample reports or would generate on the screen what a given report might look like. It is good at updating but to figure out what you need to update you have to look in multiple places - Needs some streamlining and simplifying. Better follow up on long-running support tickets.,9,I don't rely on any single product or technology to protect my environment. Bitdefender GravityZone is one part of the overall solution for security.,Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform and CA Data Protection,Cisco Umbrella, VMware Horizon (formerly VMware View), StarWind Virtual SAN,65,1,I have to protect my users at the "endpoint" level.,9Great Product at a Great PriceBitdefender is being used by our company to keep our company records safe.,Easy to read reporting Managed real time analysis,None as of now,10,Allows us to focus on running our business,With almost constant updates in technology it helps to keep us protected when expanding or upgrading our technology.,10GravityZone is our recommended choice for endpoint protectionWe utilize GravityZone for both our internal security needs as well as that of our clients.,Easy centralized management & deployment Low system resource impact Very effective at keeping devices secure,Support is really friendly and smart, but sometimes it feels a bit hard to reach them or get a response quickly The documentation isn't always well-integrated into the software, so you either need to be familiar with it already, get help, or search the docs / contact support yourself,10,GravityZone works really well, so less time is spent cleaning machines Easy and central deployment and management keeps policy writing and management to a minimum Integrates well with several device management programs,Avira Antivirus, Sophos Intercept X and Symantec Endpoint ProtectionA good choice for an MSPWe are a managed service provider, and provide antivirus to over 2,000 devices using Bit Defender Gravityzone. With it, we are able to assign exception profiles to our clients easily. This normalizes the way we deliver security to our clients, and streamlines our tech's ability to work on virus alerts.,Content Control: Internet blocking that covers all browsers. You can set categories of sites to block (social media, pornography), and whitelist/blacklist sites individually as well. Management of client-specific virus profiles is extremely easy. The protection offered by Bit Defender is very good and it's usually at the top of the list of virus software that is considered best in class.,Reporting isn't great. It can be difficult to get a good view of what's going on across 2,000 devices. You can't move a computer from one company to another without uninstalling and reinstalling Bitdefender.,8,This solution was a little more expensive than our previous one. It raised AV costs by around 10%.,Kaspersky Endpoint Security, Webroot Endpoint Protection and SolarWinds N-central,Kaspersky Endpoint Security, Webroot Endpoint ProtectionBitdefender -- the AV Solution for everyone.Bitdefender is our primary AV solution for our organization and for all organizations we support through our Managed Service Provider partnership. Bitdefender provides an affordable, platform for all users.,A cost-effective solution, pay for what you need. Out of the box configuration. More features generally result in more settings to configure. Bitdefender has created standard out of the box policies that meet the needs of our customers. Easy to install. Installation instructions can be sent directly to the portal and done by the end-user.,It needs a smaller installation package. The install is very large. Better logging at the endpoint level.,10,The cloud management portal has reduced on-prem server count and management.,The single pane of glass has reduced troubleshooting time, increased visibility across all organizations. Issues are now identified globally.,With a single pane of glass, we have identified outbreaks, which has often resulted in identifying trends. These advanced features have enabled us to spot these trends.,Webroot Endpoint Protection,9Good for PC, not for MacWe are a manages dervice provider who used to resell BitDefender as the primary antivirus to our clients at around 300 Endpoints.GravityZone works well for MSPs as there is a single pane of glass and it is easy to manage and setup multiple tenants.,Multi-tenant management Global policy change Nested policy management Single pane of glass,Poor Apple (Mac) support High resource usage Challenging reporting model,5,Lost productivity migrating to Bitdefender Lost productivity migrating away from Bitdefender,Console management is difficult to manage and does not reflect accurate statistics. Example would be a client that has 70 endpoints, and 1 of them is a laptop that has not been turned on in a week (user is on vacation) the whole organization is flagged with a warning. Very difficult to distinguish threats against workstations that haven't checked in. If there are more endpoints then licences available, reports do not accurately show which agents are active but unlicensed.,Primary outstanding factor for Bitdefender is the ransomware mitigation.,Webroot Endpoint Protection and Kaspersky Endpoint Security,4Managed Service Provider Very Happy with ProductWe use it internally and we resell it to our customers. We are an IT Managed Services Provider and most of our customers we have switched over to BitDefender for their antivirus. It provides antivirus protection in a business environment.,Easy to manage multiple customers Easy to implement Very good security ratings,Computers sometimes will show they are not communicating when they actually are Reporting needs to be improved,9,Less time spent with antivirus management, updates, upgrades, etc The price is competitive and leaves enough room to add a margin,We definitely benefit from this. It's very quick and easy to just sign in to one location and be able to manage all of our customers. The single agent is also very helpful because you don't have to worry about what specific agent to install in different scenarios.,Yes we have benefited. Since switching to BitDefender we have had no security related incidents. It's a good selling point to have the multiple layers of protection in one piece of software.,Avast Business Antivirus and Symantec Endpoint Protection,8Major time saver. We use Bitdefender GravityZone to simplify deployment and management to one of our remote departments. We need it to make the status of the protection more visible and more configurable. We remotely manage all their VMs, hosts and desktops and we are happy with the ability to feel like the site is secure and we have the tools we need to ensure protection.,Provides central reporting for groups of computers Centralized security policies ensure that the system is lower maintenance Reporting and auditing makes operations very easy,Cost is high and makes it hard to sell, it would be nice if it was the same cost per user rather than per device, as most users have multiple devices, so the price is a moving target, this makes sales hard.,10,It cuts down on operations costs and management costs,I'm sure it has but it's a hard thing to quantify as we don't have a group to compare to.,Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection,9Bitdefender reviewWe use Bitdefender across every one of our computer systems here at the store. It helps protect data breaches and makes us feel that all of our information and our customers' information is safe and secure. It is an expensive and effective way to keep everything safe, and it helps us all sleep better at night after we had an IT disaster happen here a few years ago!,Customer service: this is a huge component of any company, and every time I speak with a representative of the company I feel respected and heard, and my issues are resolved quickly. Security: this one is a given! Everyone wants their information secure. Ease of use: the platform is easy to use.,I don't see anything that could be done differently.,9,We have achieved keeping our information safe, which was the goal of using Bitdefender.,Having all security management done from a single console has benefited our company by being able to use it easily and control what happens from a single platform, which really cuts down on extra time spent on figuring it out and leads to more time spent on my actual job, which makes the boss happy.,We have benefited from all these multiple protection layers by being able to gain our customers' trust with all their information, seeing as we store first and last names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, credit card numbers, etc.... Bitdefender is a name that a lot of people know and definitely trust!,10BitDefender is the best enterprise solution to AV that I've seen.We use on the on premise solution across our entire company - servers and workstations. We utilize it as a AV solution as well as using its web filter and USB restrictions capabilities.,Web Filter is great. Device restriction works well. Good false positive scores.,I've had so few problems with BitDefender that I literally don't have any suggestions. Some users may find the virtual server with linux installation a bit intimidating. So if anything, maybe try to develop a Windows version for on premise. Great product.,10,Not having to purchase separate web filters and device restriction software to comply with regulators easily makes it worth its cost.,I'm the only person at our company who manages it, but it's nice being able to manage most any setting remotely.,We've yet to have a devastating infection since we went with BD GZ so I'm not sure what else there is to say. It does what it says it will. The anti-ransomware is also a plus.,,10Great Protection that gives you peace of mindBitdefender GravityZone is used across the whole organization. It basically provides the IT Or InfoSec Manager with peace of mind with its ability to address current threats as well as new ones, including zero-day exploits.,Blocking of phishing sites. A continuously changing solution. The possibility of classifying Wi-Fi networks.,Bitdefender network install/deployment has at times been prone to errors, and does not uninstall well for a clean install, as we have seen in 2 cases in the past. This is one area that perhaps needs a re-visit.,8,It is always difficult to justify the ROI of an anti-virus when looked from a cost perspective. However, if viewed from the perspective of risk mitigation, the justification is much simpler, as Bitdefender gives the information security team peace of mind without costing the organization an arm and a leg.,Yes, the organization has tremendously benefitted from the GravityZone cloud console of Bitdefender.,Yes, as indicated previously, Bitdefender, with the continuously updating protection layers, literally gives peace of mind to the IT and InfoSec teams.,Norton Internet Security,5Bitdefender GravityZone pulled me in and now I'm happily stuck with it.We use Bitdefender GravityZone as our primary antivirus software for our entire network.,Bitdefender uses far fewer resources on the client computers than several other antivirus programs I have used. The web portal is pretty easy to use and gives a good amount of information in regards to the health of the computers.,There are periodically times which Windows thinks no antivirus or firewall is active on a computer, even when Bitdefender is there.,10,Bitdefender discovered dozens of issues when I first installed in on all of the computers on the network and it has caught/prevented quite a few more, but in two years there haven't been any issues which were found to actually have been impacting any of the computers (I have also periodically run scans with other software which also have not found anything).,It is great to be able to login to the console from a web-connected device in order to see the status of the network and address issues right away without needing to go around and change settings on all of the computers.,,8Good product, thoughtfully made, and works well.Bitdefender GravityZone is used across the entire organization. We use it as our primary malware deterrent.,Cloud dashboard Ease of deployment to new clients Custom deployment options/policies New features - ransomware vaccine, etc.,Difference between server/client license Cost for NGOs Ability to manage users/admins, particularly delete admins,10,We compared the cost to other products and found it to be competitive. Easy to manage and coordinate scanning for a device group organized logically e.g. all computers at specific lunchtime. We have thankfully not suffered any outages so far.,We have used the console to coordinate scanning/protection policies as well as schedule scans and sending executive reports to Admins for regular reporting. Any missed scans are run as soon as the computer comes back online. This is ideal to prevent any computer missing scans because they are offline for a period of time.,It is easy to test with targeted deployment to computers before mass adoption of policies and features. This prevents downtime as a result of unintended consequences. The addition and use of new features give a sense of comfort that Bitdefender is evolving to meet challenges and the product as a whole keeps refreshing itself.,Eset Endpoint Antivirus and Symantec Advanced Threat Protection,10Bitdefender GravityZone ReviewBitdefender GravityZone is being used across my entire organization on every endpoint. It addresses the need for a robust antivirus/antimalware solution that is best-in-class and cost-effective.,Bitdefender GravityZone offers some of, if not the highest, rated scanning engines available. Bitdefender GravityZone is one the easier to install solutions available. Bitdefender GravityZone offers a very clear and robust interface to manage all endpoints.,Bitdefender GravityZone could offer more panes-per-page for their management interface. Bitdefender GravityZone could offer more higher-tier options to the lower packages a-la-carte. Bitdefender GravityZone could offer direct sales instead of being forced to use a re-seller.,9,Bitdefender GravityZone has had a positive impact on our endpoint security objectives. Bitdefender GravityZone has effectively been a reliable layer in our overall layered security plans. Bitdefender GravityZone has ensured that we met performance objectives for all endpoints.,McAfee Total Protection, VIPRE and Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (Hexadite AIRS),Windows Server, Microsoft 365 Business, Microsoft Azure

Our agency operates Supportive In-Home services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

The parten company does not do a good job explaining this.
  • The Gravity Zone console is quite easy to use, particularly if the person assigned to implement and deploy have a good understanding of how to make it work to get at the information needed.
  • The Dashboard is customizable to get at the information needed in one location.
  • Pushing tasks across the network is quite easy.
  • Having said the what is available in gravity zone, it is easy to see what devices have activity that frequently result in quarantines. This allows us to address "misuse" of our devices. Which brings me to my final point...
  • The policies can be set up to lock devices down with very strict rules (such as device locking) or with relaxed policies.
  • Who do I ask? This is my chief complaint is once the initial licenses were purchased through Bit Defender, there was no one to contact that could help navigate some of the initial questions I had with regard to specific policies to implement for our file server. The parent web site is, well, hard to navigate when one is trying to "learn" the system.
  • The second issue is in increasing the licenses.
  • Gravity Zone Dashboard, while excellent for those who have experience, is not particularly intuitive for those who have never used it. There does not seem to be a lot of documentation for those responsible for implementation.
Bitdefender is well suited for companies that require a high level of security and desire a high level of control and flexibility for developing policies that are user group specific. Companies that have internal IT should find this very useful. Companies that are externally hire to provide IT business management solutions would also find this very beneficial.

We use Bitdefender GravityZone across our whole organization. We have it installed on Apple and Windows devices, about 18 in total. We were having issues with a consistent platform to ensure we were protected from viruses on computers. Each device had something different and we decided to purchase a product to have consistency throughout our devices to ensure we were properly protected. It addresses the issue we had with not knowing if we were protected enough from security risks and a way to monitor each device.
  • Easy interface for all device monitoring.
  • Automatic scheduling of anti-virus scans.
  • Responsive customer service.
  • Sometimes automatic scans do not happen and have to initiate manually.
  • More detailed reports of scan and results would be helpful in order to analyze devices productivity.
  • Faster scans.
This is a great system for a team who needs a consistent way of monitoring a variety of devices for anti-virus, phishing, etc. It is easy to use, and the interface to log in and view each device is convenient and has everything you need in one place. The price is worth what you are receiving in the reassurance that you are safe from online threats.

We are a managed service provider. We use Bitdefender internally and for our clients.
  • Single pane of glass
  • Unobtrusive
  • Easy to deploy
  • If the downloaded tool fails, it has to download all over. Would be nice if it caches the install file for later use.
  • Cannot install if Malware Bytes is installed, but works fine if MBAM is installed after.
  • Cannot move machines from one company to another without reinstalling.
We like it from an MSP perspective. Easy to deploy to new clients, Even to an individual. I cannot speak to performance in an enterprise-size environment.

I resale the Bitdefender Cloud antivirus and use the GravityZone to create the packages and rules. I use it as a monitoring tool as well for all my clients.
  • Deployment of client
  • Rules for exclusions
  • Monitoring or all assets
  • Better overall stats and pie chart for a quick dashboard of all clients.
  • Risk assessment or improvement scanner
Best suited if for a company with lost of different partners.

Less suitable is for personal usage.

We use it on all of our computers in our school to help keep us safe. Our entire organization uses it and we have only had good things to say about this product. We will continue to use it for many years to come. It is a good way to see if any viruses have been installed on the computer.
  • User friendly
  • Quick to install
  • Keeps computers safe
  • Can get a little pricey
It is well suited for any situation where computers are involved. Schools, businesses, or home settings are all good places to use Bitdefender.

It works very well.
  • Detection rates are industry leading, and with very few if any false positives.
  • The endpoint software is also very lightweight. We've had problems with previous alternate AV software hogging resources. Not so with Bitdefender GravityZone.
  • Something I find irritating when using the web console to administer or view reports etc, is that you can't use the browser 'back' button!
  • I've also found at times the remote deployment to be a little unreliable. I've had to resort to using 3rd-party tools to deploy to some machines on our domain.
This is a slightly odd question about a software product with a very clear purpose. Bitdefender GravityZone is well suited to the scenario where you have a corporate network and you want to protect your users and computers from viruses and malware. It's not so well suited to a home environment but it's not aimed at a home environment.

Bitdefender GravityZone is being used at our two libraries to meet the demands for our information technology security. We count on Bitdefender to protect us from Malware, Viruses, Ransomware, etc... We are also using the web filter option to filter out pornography and so on. I enjoy the user interface provided by Bitdefender. We could not be more pleased and I plan to renew our subscription when our renewal arrives.
  • Great success with the web filter. Once I've entered a site to be blocked, within several minutes I can test and see that the site is, in fact, blocked.
  • The ease of installation is paramount. Logging into the gravityzone website is a breeze. Right in front of you is the offer to "install on this machine" option. Very easy to use. The portlets on the dashboard are the best. Once arranged to my liking - it's a sure fire and quick way to glance at the network health overall.
  • The ease of pushing commands and instructions to individual machines under the network menu option is fantastic. I can select a single machine for a scan and many other things or can select the entire network.
  • Love the detailed info that is given for any chosen machine.
  • Had a little trouble when deleting a computer from the network list. Learned it was best to move it to the deleted folder first, then delete from there. Maybe this could be noted by an * or something at the bottom if one is going to delete a computer.
  • Maybe send a verification email if logging into the website from a new device or one that is not used often and then add that machine to the trusted list for devices that can log on.
  • Offer a user interface choice or theme so that we may change to color of our dashboard.
Recently, we were hit with malware attack. Included several different machines from both libraries. I was unaware until I logged in to my Bitdefender Gravityzone account. I checked my alerts and say that we had sustained a malware outbreak. Looked through the log files and saw that all machines were safe and protected by Bitdefender. We printed and displayed the results to the board at our monthly board meeting.

We use it for our entire organization for virus protection. We chose to have all our users on the same protection plan.
  • Users are protected without them having to manage the product themselves
  • Being able to manage computers in our organization thru the cloud is especially helpful when we have users all across the country and South America
  • Bitdefender uses less computer resources than many other virus protection products we've used in the past
  • I do not like having to correspond by email. When I have an issue I do not have time to wait 6-8 hours for a reply. I want to do a chat or a phone call.
  • I find their cloud dashboard a bit challenging to navigate. I can never find the option I need without searching thru every category.
  • I do not like that it takes 48 hours for the cloud to update when there is an issue with a client computer when I am working on it remotely.
Our in-house management is quite easy. Those computers I can do hands-on. It is when I need to depend on the cloud to manage a computer that is having issues that can be more of a challenge.

Our web design business uses Bitdefender GravityZone to secure our high-end business computers. It keeps our systems safe from hackers and viruses and is very easy to set up and use. It does not slow down our operations in any way. The configuration, set up, management, and monitoring are very simple and easy, and the software is streamlined with simplicity and ease of use.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone is well suited for small or medium-sized businesses that need strong security because it's makers put a lot of extra thinking into the software.
  • The web-based administrative management panel is very robust and modern.
  • The software knows how to detect new malware and viruses based on complex algorithms.
  • Reporting can get complicated, especially if you are managing a lot of users.
  • Customer service is not the fastest or most thorough in their responses.
  • Their documentation does not make it easy to browse through and find instructions.
Bitdefender GravityZone is great for small or medium-sized businesses who need a strong security platform that is easy to set up and manage. The web-based interface and easy administrative panel functions make it time-efficient for busy business owners, who don't want to a lot of hassle in their computer security setup and management. If you are just a one-person business who does not need a lot of security, then this might not be the right software for you.

We are a reseller of Bitdefender. It is being used in our company and by all of our clients. IT allows us to be able to monitor all our clients from one portal.
  • One portal: able to see in one view if any of my clients have any issues.
  • Easy to install
  • Lots of control options for each install.
  • Easier to understand any license issues with each client.
  • Too many running services.
  • Really seems to use a lot of resources when running scans.
Easy to install and customize.

Bitdefender GravityZone is being used across the whole company (three locations). It is used on physical endpoints and also on virtual desktop endpoints (VMware Horizon View).
  • Integrates well with VMware NSX to support virtual environments.
  • Fairly easy to set up in VMware NSX virtual environments.
  • For both physical and virtual environments it is fairly easy to set up policies to control how/why/when/which pieces of Bitdefender.
  • Fairly complete "dashboard" to manage the environment(s).
  • Good integration with Active Directory.
  • When kicking off scans (or other tasks) from the GravityZone dashboard it creates a task - and until the task is complete, what is happening can be a little vague. I'd like to see a little bit more detail on the progress perhaps.
  • Reporting, scheduling reports can be cumbersome. Might be better if it had some sample reports or would generate on the screen what a given report might look like.
  • It is good at updating but to figure out what you need to update you have to look in multiple places - Needs some streamlining and simplifying.
  • Better follow up on long-running support tickets.
I can't think of a specific scenario where Bitdefender GravityZone would be less appropriate. I like it for the virtual desktop world. In fact that was my original reason for picking it. They were the only one who had a product ready to go when I began testing VDI. They were very helpful and they understood why I wanted to use VMware's "model" of providing AV at the network layer.

We utilize GravityZone for both our internal security needs as well as that of our clients.
  • Easy centralized management & deployment
  • Low system resource impact
  • Very effective at keeping devices secure
  • Support is really friendly and smart, but sometimes it feels a bit hard to reach them or get a response quickly
  • The documentation isn't always well-integrated into the software, so you either need to be familiar with it already, get help, or search the docs / contact support yourself
We have found GZ to be very well respected within the IT community, effective at what it does, frequently improving features and updates, and leading the industry in terms of centralized management, low system impact, and effectiveness at keeping devices secure. We have seen it work very effectively in organizations of just a few devices all the way into thousands.

We are a managed service provider, and provide antivirus to over 2,000 devices using Bit Defender Gravityzone. With it, we are able to assign exception profiles to our clients easily. This normalizes the way we deliver security to our clients, and streamlines our tech's ability to work on virus alerts.
  • Content Control: Internet blocking that covers all browsers. You can set categories of sites to block (social media, pornography), and whitelist/blacklist sites individually as well.
  • Management of client-specific virus profiles is extremely easy.
  • The protection offered by Bit Defender is very good and it's usually at the top of the list of virus software that is considered best in class.
  • Reporting isn't great. It can be difficult to get a good view of what's going on across 2,000 devices.
  • You can't move a computer from one company to another without uninstalling and reinstalling Bitdefender.
Bitdefender is well suited for managed service providers who have a lot of devices they need to protect. However, you do have to perform manual checks on the dashboard, because the reporting is really not the strong suit. They are working on this, and once in a while, I'll see new reports available. However, I am confident in security, and I love the ability to block internet usage.

Bitdefender is our primary AV solution for our organization and for all organizations we support through our Managed Service Provider partnership. Bitdefender provides an affordable, platform for all users.
  • A cost-effective solution, pay for what you need.
  • Out of the box configuration. More features generally result in more settings to configure. Bitdefender has created standard out of the box policies that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Easy to install. Installation instructions can be sent directly to the portal and done by the end-user.
  • It needs a smaller installation package. The install is very large.
  • Better logging at the endpoint level.
Any customer looking for a module AV system. The basic service is very cost-effective while the system with all modules enabled still competes with enterprise AV.

We are a manages dervice provider who used to resell BitDefender as the primary antivirus to our clients at around 300 Endpoints.GravityZone works well for MSPs as there is a single pane of glass and it is easy to manage and setup multiple tenants.
  • Multi-tenant management
  • Global policy change
  • Nested policy management
  • Single pane of glass
  • Poor Apple (Mac) support
  • High resource usage
  • Challenging reporting model
If your environment is primarily Windows-based, this solution would work well, however, if you support Apple devices as well, there are significant features that are missing (i.e. scheduling updates. This is available for Windows agents, but not for Mac).

We use it internally and we resell it to our customers. We are an IT Managed Services Provider and most of our customers we have switched over to BitDefender for their antivirus. It provides antivirus protection in a business environment.
  • Easy to manage multiple customers
  • Easy to implement
  • Very good security ratings
  • Computers sometimes will show they are not communicating when they actually are
  • Reporting needs to be improved
Very good for Managed Service Providers because it's easy to manage multiple different customers. Also good for any size organization because it's easy to set up and manage.

We use Bitdefender GravityZone to simplify deployment and management to one of our remote departments. We need it to make the status of the protection more visible and more configurable. We remotely manage all their VMs, hosts and desktops and we are happy with the ability to feel like the site is secure and we have the tools we need to ensure protection.
  • Provides central reporting for groups of computers
  • Centralized security policies ensure that the system is lower maintenance
  • Reporting and auditing makes operations very easy
  • Cost is high and makes it hard to sell, it would be nice if it was the same cost per user rather than per device, as most users have multiple devices, so the price is a moving target, this makes sales hard.
It's a centralized deployment and reporting AV that supports almost all platforms and clients, makes management very easy.

We use Bitdefender across every one of our computer systems here at the store. It helps protect data breaches and makes us feel that all of our information and our customers' information is safe and secure. It is an expensive and effective way to keep everything safe, and it helps us all sleep better at night after we had an IT disaster happen here a few years ago!
  • Customer service: this is a huge component of any company, and every time I speak with a representative of the company I feel respected and heard, and my issues are resolved quickly.
  • Security: this one is a given! Everyone wants their information secure.
  • Ease of use: the platform is easy to use.
  • I don't see anything that could be done differently.
This is well suited for a business with multiple computer/software systems, and if you store people's personal information and/or sensitive information about the company and its policies. I am not sure how well suited it is for home use, but that is because I only have experience with the office version.

We use on the on premise solution across our entire company - servers and workstations. We utilize it as a AV solution as well as using its web filter and USB restrictions capabilities.
  • Web Filter is great.
  • Device restriction works well.
  • Good false positive scores.
  • I've had so few problems with BitDefender that I literally don't have any suggestions. Some users may find the virtual server with linux installation a bit intimidating. So if anything, maybe try to develop a Windows version for on premise. Great product.
Well suited for understaffed IT departments, which is most everywhere.
Gives you powerful tools that can be managed fairly easily with minimal time.

Bitdefender GravityZone is used across the whole organization. It basically provides the IT Or InfoSec Manager with peace of mind with its ability to address current threats as well as new ones, including zero-day exploits.
  • Blocking of phishing sites.
  • A continuously changing solution.
  • The possibility of classifying Wi-Fi networks.
  • Bitdefender network install/deployment has at times been prone to errors, and does not uninstall well for a clean install, as we have seen in 2 cases in the past. This is one area that perhaps needs a re-visit.
Bitdefender is well-suited for a small to large size enterprise with the ability to create different policies for different user and machine types, and also a single pane of view for seeing the statues of all machines.

We use Bitdefender GravityZone as our primary antivirus software for our entire network.
  • Bitdefender uses far fewer resources on the client computers than several other antivirus programs I have used.
  • The web portal is pretty easy to use and gives a good amount of information in regards to the health of the computers.
  • There are periodically times which Windows thinks no antivirus or firewall is active on a computer, even when Bitdefender is there.
Bitdefender GravityZone is well suited for businesses which want to have an easy to use web-based interface.

I'm not sure if highly regulated companies (medical practices, government, etc.) would be able to use the standard setup of Bitdefender GravityZone.

Bitdefender GravityZone is used across the entire organization. We use it as our primary malware deterrent.
  • Cloud dashboard
  • Ease of deployment to new clients
  • Custom deployment options/policies
  • New features - ransomware vaccine, etc.
  • Difference between server/client license
  • Cost for NGOs
  • Ability to manage users/admins, particularly delete admins
Works well with distributed/mobile clients as reports/heartbeat are sent to cloud dashboard. But, the system quickly shifts to panic mode when it is not connected to the Internet. This can be alarming for end users. Some flexibility would be appreciated.

Deleting a computer from a group does not automatically delete it from all areas. It requires an extra step to delete permanently.

Bitdefender GravityZone is being used across my entire organization on every endpoint. It addresses the need for a robust antivirus/antimalware solution that is best-in-class and cost-effective.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone offers some of, if not the highest, rated scanning engines available.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone is one the easier to install solutions available.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone offers a very clear and robust interface to manage all endpoints.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone could offer more panes-per-page for their management interface.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone could offer more higher-tier options to the lower packages a-la-carte.
  • Bitdefender GravityZone could offer direct sales instead of being forced to use a re-seller.
Bitdefender is well suited for most SMB environments. I am not certain how appropriate it is for enterprise-level installations that require a bit more granularity and control, which it probably does not offer.
