A solid option if you’re already using RE
We selected Online Express because it’s built in integration with Blackbaud. There are better online forms but the need to import into RE is an extra cost and hassle.

Online Express: a great addition to our company
Blackbaud's Online Express is MUCH easier to use than NetCommunity. Having the ability to "drop" donation forms directly into our existing website is a big improvement over NetCommunity's web pages. Only wish Online Express offered the ability to track constituents sign up for different email communications rather than just one option.

Blackblaud for one-stop funding and revenue management
None, actually. Our organization was already using other Blackbaud products and BOE appeared to meet our needs, and it has! It's the only platform we have used and will continue to use.

Convenient Donation Processing with Blackbaud's Online Express
Blackbaud products are far better than Daxko; however, Daxko could automatically process recurring transactions, which I don't believe Blackbaud can do at this time.

We were evaluating Salsa Labs but it was less functional for our purposes than OLX. We are thinking of looking into Luminate.

Great for streamlining with other Blackbaud products

The best part is the transfer of information directly into Raiser's Edge. Ultimately the costs seem to be about the same for any service but the reduction of staff time adds the real value to using online express. Using Merchant Services has also been a nice change as we can easily look up transactions, pull reports, and do refunds with ease. Our Finance team uses Financial Edge so they automatically have access to the information as well.

A Solid product for not for profits, but if you don't use Raiser's Edge, look elsewhere
Blackbaud Online Express is mainly used strictly because of its integration with Raiser's Edge. If a client uses Salesforce for constituent/lead management, other products can offer more flexibility in designing donation forms, email templates, etc. However, they all have their own negatives in Salesforce integration -- that is a whole other can of worms. While the Raiser's Edge integration of Online Express isn't perfect, it is relatively painless compared to the competition's Salesforce integration. Also, for NFP's, Blackbaud's NFP focused business model is a plus.

Start emailing your donors today
Constant Contact definitely has more bells and whistles when it comes to email campaigns but we found it to be more complex than we needed. Blackbaud Online Express has the right combination of simplicity, ease of use, and features needed to be successful with our email marketing.

Blackbaud Online Express has the features and tools that best suit my organization. We do not need all of the additional features that Constant Contact has; they would most likely go unused and would add unnecessary complexity.

Online Express: A Long Way to Go to Catch Constant Contact
We chose Online Express because it was bundled with a Raiser's Edge upgrade, and because we hope it would let us manage online donations and memberships more easily. We still expect that to happen. But in every other way, it underperforms Constant Contact. It is harder to create and design emails. It is harder to find answers and solutions to problems. OE's data reporting seems better but it is less meaningful because with OE it is harder to split-test and re-send emails.
