All fundraising activities are tracked here. We use both the WebView and the database view as the WebView still does not have full functionality.

The WebView is great for our fundraisers. It is easier to look at and more intuitive than the database view. There is some fun functionality like seeing a map where all your constituents (or a certain list of constituents) are. Donations can be taken on the road.

One of the greatest limitations is the lists (known as queries in the database view). If you need a simple list it is great and very easy to generate from various areas (ie who opened an email just click on the number and it will give you the list). If you need a more complicated list it is easier to do in the database view and bring it over to the WebView.

Reporting does not meet our needs yet. We do extensive year over year comparisons and have been using Crystal Reports for this. So the cutting off of Crystal Reports was a big hit with very little notice (I believe it was something like 6 weeks at year end). That was very disappointing.
  • Email marketing is easy to use
  • Integration with other products
  • Easy to navigate
  • Reporting is limited in terms of year over year or very detailed reports
  • Lists could be better particularly when they are more complicated
  • Event Capacity Limits would be better if they cut off based off what was in the database not just online transactions
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is great if you have someone who is responsible for managing it and training others (this doesn't need to be a full time person just someone who knows what they are doing).

We use Raiser's Edge as a part of our private fundraising strategy. It is used for recording gifts, stewarding donors, cultivating prospects, reconciling with our finance department, and is being used as a project management tool for our grants department. Raiser's Edge is our primary communications tool for reaching out to donors, prospects, and friends.
  • Webview of NXT is helpful for front-line fundraisers to access and act on donor information.
  • Opportunity records are helpful project management tools for cultivating major donors and grant application processes.
  • Reporting feature provides quick and easy overview of relevant metrics.
  • Development of the webview of NXT has slowed significantly, meaning that many gift entry/database administration activities need to be completed on the older 'database view.
  • Reduction in key functionality in database view has not been done in tandem with feature expansion in WebView, further exacerbating some bifurcated processes.
Raiser's Edge is probably the most robust constituent management database for medium-sized nonprofits. It is particularly well suited to getting actionable information to users who are not in a DBA role. The webview interface is simple to use and understand, and it integrates with Microsoft Power Platform in ways that can automate some tasks & ensure data integrity.

Used for fundraising record-keeping, merchant account transactions, and e-mail communications. There are several issues that I have with the software. Most of the time there are no easy solutions which are frustrating for the annual price that is charged to the customer to maintain it. Adding matching gifts to a constituent, adding a spouse, finding an organization are all very convoluted just to name a few. The fact you can't copy and paste from most areas, just deleting an e-mail does not clear the area you must delete the row. There is no longer use of the merge wizard. There is also no CLEAR way to avoid duplicate records appearing when doing a query involving e-mails. Having e-mails listed under "Specific phones" when doing a query makes absolutely no sense, it is not a phone number. Why can't the merchant account send out a receipt/thank you for recurring donations.
  • Taking away merge wizard instead of fixing the problem.
  • E-mails listed under phones.
  • Recurring gifts not getting a monthly thank you or receipt.
  • Adding matching gift companies/foundations to a constituent.
  • Automatically adding a spouse after constituent is deceased.
  • Not being able to edit mailing labels.
  • The decease finder application is useless.
larger organizations with at least 10 users well trained in all areas of RE NXT, Colleges, and or universities. Not well suited for High Schools at all.

Working in Advancement, I utilize The Raiser's Edge multiple times a day. We are an all-girls private high school so we need to accurately track not only current students and parents but also our alumnae and other donors. The Raiser's Edge allows us to do this easily. We have started tracking events and now have the tribute module, allowing us to more easily capture the honorariums and memorials we receive in our alums' names. Building our donor forms in Online Express gives us the flexibility to capture information while still accepting online donations. The reporting features in NXT are great snapshots for those that need to see quick numbers for various funds, campaigns, or even events. Our Finance people have view access to see these numbers since our systems do not communicate currently. Being able to break down giving by class year is a great bonus, too, for competitions between classes! Having all of these people in one database gives us the ability to handle all the mailings needed for the school.
  • Security is great because the DBA is able to really specify what can be viewed by different people and to do so in different ways. There are so many options to refine options for different work types.
  • While reports in database view are more extensive, the options are still vast in NXT. You can break down the same data in different ways on the same report with different insights and then have a drill-down ability right there rather than running a different report.
  • Having the ability to send emails directly from NXT is great because the database automatically records each receipt for the constituents. Each email sent shows click rate, what addresses bounced, and other helpful information.
  • The database view is still much more versatile with information tracked in areas outside standard constituent information (contact and biographical). Gifts that are pledges/payments or tributes must be entered in database view because there are no options in NXT as of yet.
  • Querying can be easier in the database view depending on your needs. Lists are really helpful and plenty of options exist for filters but sometimes they're just very limited for what you need.
  • You cannot add new campaigns, funds, and appeals with their necessary information from NXT. That must be accessed through database view.
NXT suits our Advancement Department well with the alum add-on so we can keep classes connected. Our department has two major events each year and we are able to gather and track all information through the database options, although you need the database side for seating options. With the various reports pre-configured and those that you can build with insights, you have information quickly available to answer questions. NXT is not great for our classroom-side of the school but for our department, it is the best product they have utilized to date.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT in our foundation to manage our constituent database and track fundraising. RE NXT will allow us to expand the number of users that can access information in our system and help our board members, volunteers, and fundraisers (staff and volunteer) have a better understanding of our donors. As a smaller organization, this allows us to expand our solicitor base and yet still maintain control over information and data. RE NXT includes a web review - great for the fundraisers- and the database view - still the key tool for our internal staff. It is a both, not an either/or situation - which is so helpful.
  • Unlimited number of users.
  • Flexibility to allow for email and other integrations.
  • Allows you to customize dashboards for specific users.
  • The webview is a "big sell" by Blackbaud staff but it's development has been slow.
  • While some add-on features provide benefits, you may pay for others you don't need.
  • The attention to you during the sales process often does not match the attention after the sale.
  • The price can be high, especially if you aren't willing to pay for training and continued support service - it is a sophisticated program that not everyone can learn/understand on their own. Don't buy an expensive sports car, if you don't know how to drive it.
RE NXT is suited to organizations that are willing to put the time and effort into training - not just start-up training but ongoing training. While it is more lug-an-play than some other CRMs, you still need to understand how the system works to get your money's worth out of it. If you don't need all the bells and whistles that it has to offer, is a 1-person or very small shop that can afford the training, the maintenance, and support...AND the time to learn...you may find this software frustrating. I have benefited from organizations that have allowed me to take training, attend webinars and develop with the software. Once you make the commitment to the software, you also need to be prepared to look for the right people to keep it up - it is your perpetual employee. Don't think about who you have TODAY to use it - but also what who you will need later and if they are not already versed in RE NXT - will the organization be willing to train them.

NXT is a user-friendly CRM. Our team includes a staff of diverse tech abilities, and everyone is able to navigate the product smoothly. I appreciate its ability to generate Lists and integrate with ResearchPoint. I also appreciate its customizable format, where you are able to move tiles around on a record to include the most useful data for your needs at the top of the record. NXT is intuitive and well built. NXT has room to grow, especially related to the Events module and gift entry. You will still need to use the backend (aka RE Hosted) that resembles the old-school RE7. For database managers, having a familiar backend is useful during the transition from RE7 to NXT. We transitioned in 2016.
  • It builds lists and presents them as lists or on a map. This is useful for gift officers to plan their visits with constituents within a region.
  • The ability to allow tiles to be moved around by a user within a constituent record is wonderful.
  • Easy to navigate from the Search bar.
  • The events module: registrants for events must be added in the backend RE7.
  • Gift entry must be done in RE7 backend.
  • Building lists using one-off names is tough unless you start from a query.

2022 Update: Our entire foundation uses the web view of NXT. It helps to track moves management, giving, and event participation. Even novice users are able to navigate the system.
  • Record actions quickly
  • Mobile friendly
  • User friendly
  • Multiple down time episodes in the past year
  • Downgrading of long-time capabilities with little notice or compensation
Updated 2022: It is great for organizations who have multiple gift officers tracking actions and moves. The events module is improving in web view to the point that it is being utilized for every event by all staff. Web view is great to get new staff off and running as it is fairly intuitive.
Although support is friendly for the most part, it is inadequate.

We use Raiser's Edge NXT for constituent and fundraising tracking. Our fundraisers find the user-friendly webview a definite advantage.
  • Fundraising dashboards.
  • Action management.
  • Email marketing.
  • need to have same gift batch capability as the database view.
  • better customization of the gift form.
  • more insights to use in report builder.
Detailed list creation is still better suited in Raiser's Edge database view. The NXT list capability is limited.
Often there is a delay in getting in touch with support. We have had a few issues that they had difficulty resolving. The support we had during our integration and upgrade to NXT was less than sufficient.
There is a lot we still must do in database view. I find the reporting in NXT to be insufficient.

Our organization purchased Raiser's Edge NXT in 2015 and have been very pleased with it. The big plus is how easy it is to use for the non-technical people in our department. With RE NXT they feel empowered to enter their own actions and notes. They also feel comfortable using lists to gather their own information. This has by no means taken away from my job as the database manager. It's my role to think of how we'll use this fantastic new tool. Having RE NXT has made us think about the data we store and how we do fundraising. It's opened up new possibilities for us. I'm also impressed with the way Blackbaud is using the feedback that their clients give them. I'm excited to see where the future is going with RE NXT. Since I first wrote this review the Dashboards and Insight Developer features have been added and I'm really impressed. We stopped using the Dashboard feature in the database view and now use the web - NXT view exclusively for our monthly financial reports. The reports are interactive - you can build lists directly from the results and act more quickly on your data. 2022 update - The Dashboards and Insights are really good. So good that we don't use the canned reports and dashboards in the database view anymore. I am continually thinking of new ways to use them and they have proven to be just what out department needs.
  • Enables the non-technical people in our department to do more of their own work.
  • The analytical reports are very helpful and so easy to use.
  • With RE NXT we have the ability to have unlimited users and we're thinking about the possibility of giving our volunteers access.
  • It's so easy to access on phones and tablets.
  • Blackbaud is providing excellent support for this product.
  • Dashboards and Insights are wonderful.
  • I think of new ways every week to use the web view and we use the database view less.
  • When all of the fields for gift acknowledgement are available in the web view I think that we'll start using it for gift entry and acknowledgement.
  • It's hard to tell when all functionality will be available, but I think that Blackbaud is smart in rolling it out slowly.
  • The pricing doesn't always seem very transparent.
  • I'd like to see more training available for this product.
  • More fields please for gift entry and acknowledgement - tributes and pledges are an issue.
I think that's suited to both large and small shops. For our office of 7 people, it's ideal. We get accurate and actionable data in real-time. No more printing of reports that become obsolete an hour after they've been printed.
Customer support at Blackbaud is really good. The wait time in the chat isn't too long and they always make sure that they've solved your issue. The one area that needs improvement is that the first line of support needs to know when to escalate the issue to the next level. Sometimes I explain my issue in great detail and they still start at the beginning of the support process without reading everything that i've written.
Raiser's Edge NXT is a great product and in many ways has changed the way our advancement office works. The reason that I give it an 8 is that the reporting capabilities aren't quite there yet and you are also not able to report on the event tab or even view the registrants on an event yet. I'm not as concerned about being able to add gifts right in NXT, but that is also a feature that I look forward to seeing someday. I'm sure that these features will be improved upon and added in the near future, but as of today the product is still an 8.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and RE to monitor, access, and indicate donors and potential donors in our school community, alumni community, and other potential supporters. With NXT, we mostly use donor management tools as well as reporting tools. NXT is also a great way to share reports with the board and head of school.
  • Data entry
  • Detailed analysis
  • Accurate reporting
  • Difficult reporting tools
  • Missing gift functionality
When using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for a gift search, it does not always accurately list constituents and has trouble giving the user easy-to-access tools to specific information needed. We often run reports in RE and compare them with NXT reporting in order to provide a more detailed analysis. NXT needs an easier "query" function.

[Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT] is being used by the University Advancement department to process donations, manage donors, track alumni engagement, and generally maintain contact with our tens of thousands of constituents. The analytics, wealth screening, and reporting capabilities included with [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT] really take this product to the next level over our previous solution.
  • Gift reporting
  • Ease of use
  • Gift processing
  • Some features are limited to the not-user-friendly database view
  • Ease of switching between constituents
  • Faster loading of constituent information
As can be expected, [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT] is incredibly easy to learn and use from an end-user perspective; however, some of the more complex features that are typically only relevant to the system administrators require extensive training and time to set up. When it comes time to perform annual tasks, you have forgotten how to do something and have to relearn all over again. [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT], however, is great in that it is so widely used within educational fundraising that new employees are often already trained.
The couple of times I've [needed] to reach out for support, the [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT] customer service team has made it really easy. I can chat with them from within the product, send an email, call them on the phone, or visit their website, where they have knowledgebase articles about everything you could possibly imagine.
As an end-user, [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT] is very intuitive and easy to use. When I first started using it, the simplicity confused me; because I was used to having to go through several steps to do something as simple and basic as looking up a constituent's email address. With [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT], you type in part of the person's name, click on the right individual, and there it is.

Raiser's Edge was getting a little outdated, however, with the edition of Raiser's Edge NXT, I am blow away. It's a little costly however the return on investment is worth the price. Raiser's Edge NXT is a revolution. I work for the Foundation of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and we use this only in the Foundation. We purchased NXT about two years back and we track major giving prospects and daily we are sent updates indicating we need to reach out to a donor and we could send reminders, notes to other users.
  • Raiser's NXT allows you to track major giving prospects by receiving daily updates on donors, pledges and other outstanding items.
  • NXT provides consecutive years on each donor record and includes detailed charts on donor giving.
  • They took the Raiser's database version and made is visually appealing and user-friendly. Content is a lot easier to find in NXT.
  • Very mobile friendly and they make it easy to add notes and assign tasks to users.
  • NXT consecutive years are a little off sometimes. Sometimes the years will be different in the database then in NXT.
  • NXT is a little expensive however worth the investment.
  • NXT pledge information could be a little more user friendly. Sometimes it's hard to tell outstanding pledges while traveling and using mobile.
Raiser's Edge NXT is a must especially if you are a major giving fundraiser and always on the road. It's perfect for easily pulling up donor records while traveling and at business meetings or exhibit halls. Alerts are provided on your profile to notify you when it's time to cultivate, reach out to donors. It gives suggested next steps to contact donors. You may assign tasks to other users on the road.

We utilized Raiser's Edge [NXT] as our donor management system, collecting information on constituents as well as alumni of all sorts. We used this to manage their engagement as well as use this for future campaigns. We also managed our capital campaigns as well as regular fundraising efforts to help our institutions financial goals.
  • Constituent Management
  • Cloud Native
  • Flexible licensing
  • Cloud platform does not seem as the native design, you can tell they tried to innovate from on premise version
  • Campaign email sending can be better, as many people look at outside solutions to accomplish this
  • Email templates seem like they are quite dated and hard to customize.
There are not too many options out on the market for a solution like this. Raiser's Edge [NXT] seems to have a lock on this industry and lots of people are locked in to this. The NXT platform is not the same as the database view, which then requires a lot of database editing rather than staying on the online tool. The NXT side should have some upgrades in order to get this up to speed.
Raiser's Edge [NXT] is a great product, but it has the potential to do so much more. The integration that it currently offers does not meet the needs of all organizations and many still look to outside sources to get these products to work well together. If Blackbaud could create an all in one solution that would work with most of these products, this would be a 8 or 9 in that case.
The support hat Blackbaud can be iffy at times. When they are busy they must hire on a large temporary worker pool to help support and often times they are not capable of answering the right questions and delaying the process for your solution to be complete. When it is not the busy time, most things get answered in a normal rate.

Raiser's Edge NXT is primarily used by our Development Department as our CRM. We also use their tie-in product Luminate to provide donation forms, event registrations, and email blasts. The NXT product helps us to efficiently track every donor and volunteer or gift that supports our organization. We are able to pull reports quickly, track our interactions, and workflows.
  • Workflow management.
  • Integrates with Outlook to easily track emails as actions.
  • Easy reports.
  • I wish the events module was not an add-on.
Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for fundraising teams that need to have access to information quickly. It is easy enough to use by front-line fundraiser on the go but also allows for some quick add-in, like through Outlook to quickly add in interactions as actions without having them go through a long process. It is also a good product to pull reports quickly.
Raiser's Edge NXT has been a great fit for us as we upgraded from the RE7 platform to this. It made it much more user-friendly for our front-end fundraising team to access the information needed without having to know all of the technical sides of the back-end. Our team has been able to be more self-sufficient in pulling the data needed rather than only depending on our data team.
If you didn't sign up for the extra hours of customer service after implementation it can sometimes be hard to identify "live" help. They do have a great online help papers area and a community board that other users can answer questions to help with. That has been really helpful in identifying help when needed.

NXT is being used primarily by the stewardship office (fundraising), comprising approximately 8 full-time employees. 4-5 use it on a daily basis, the rest on a weekly basis at least. Since transferring to RENXT for most day-to-day operations our fundraisers are able to quickly get information about donors. On a productivity note, I'm able to process gifts even when I'm in a doctor's waiting room or off-site very easily.
  • Processing gifts with forms is very easy most of the time.
  • The system of automatically processing credit cards and direct debit transactions is a lifesaver!
  • Access to records from a phone is amazing!
  • Without it being a fully functioning system as of 4/15/2021 there are a few drawbacks.
  • The web-based view is nice but feels like it takes longer to search records and open them.
  • The different nomenclature can get confusing for old school fundraisers, especially those who have used the RE Database.
  • Inability to remove duplicate records completely/delete records.
  • Forms will duplicate records at a higher level than those who work in Online Express currently
I can only truly recommend this to a non-profit that has a larger financial budget. It is not for those that depend on fundraising to make it through. For organizations that can afford it, the system is good.

The largest criticism I have is that they have just tacked on a fee, mid-contract, in order to use their gift processing tools, even if you don't use them. This is a breach of trust in the system, I feel that it's a breach of contract, and many users are way more unhappy than I am. So, hopefully, this is not a common occurrence because for all the good they do, they are no longer the only good system in play any more.
Raiser's Edge NXT is pretty intuitive for most fundraiser users. However, as the database administrator and chief report creator, it does leave something to be desired in its current stage (on 4/15/2021). The usability has increased dramatically over the last three years and if it keeps on pace with that improvement, I imagine it will be one of the most usable programs available soon.
Right now, most of the issues that we've experienced have had the response of, to paraphrase, "oh, Raiser's Edge NXT doesn't do that" or "it's designed to work that way," obviously neither of those answers are helpful. The support team is readily available and for those issues that do have solutions and are within the bounds of what Raiser's Edge NXT is currently able to do has been helpful. Still some growing pains, basically.

Our organization uses Raiser's Edge NXT as our donor management tool. Every department uses it at some point in the month, including fundraisers, executives, and financial management. We find it very helpful in donor analysis, gift management, print and electronic communications with donors and prospects, and tracking relationships and workflows. While we do not use it this way, it is also designed to track grants.
  • Tracking donor relationships.
  • Analysis of giving patterns.
  • Sometimes the system offers a bit too much flexibility, adding extraneous complexity.
  • Cost - it's an excellent system, but the cost makes it a tough sell for a small org with limited resources.
RENXT is especially well-suited to managing fundraising efforts. It helps organizations to identify opportunities by organizing and codifying donor information, then providing excellent reporting and analysis tools (including live dashboards for visualization). This extends to digital marketing tools such as social media interactions and e-newsletters (onboard tools to design both in the software) and a choice of peer-to-peer platforms that can be customized for your needs. In addition, fundraising events are easily planned and executed using the onboard tools, including designing an online registration form, managing RSVP lists, and tracking all related income and expenses.

Raiser's Edge NXT is used by the Office of Institutional Advancement to cultivate and solicit prospective donors to the college. Only this department uses Raiser's Edge NXT. It solves the challenges of interactions with various alumni and friend constituents that donate to the college. In theory, this program could be rolled out to other campus partners (career services, athletics, etc).
  • Mapping
  • Action recording
  • Opt-out of assigned solicitors
  • Permissions
Raiser's Edge is well suited for a robustly-sized advancement shop, particularly those without a database administrator. However, in small shops, NXT may not be necessary as the cost-benefit ratio may not make it worth the institution's funds. The best way to use NXT is for a core group of Gift Officers.

Raiser's Edge NXT is being used solely by our Fundraising Department as a database tool to keep track of information about and interactions with our constituents. We pair it with the classic database use because of its mobile-friendly design, which makes it incredibly easy for our fundraisers to access information quickly while on the road.
  • It provides a one-page snapshot of a constituent record.
  • It tallies donations automatically, unlike the classic database view.
  • It could incorporate more complicated analysis features, like queries.
It is *the* go-to tool when you are attempting to quickly look up information about a single constituent or when you need to enter in additional info or details about an interaction. Everything you need to know can be found on a single page instead of navigating between different tabs. However, it is not capable of the more complicated analysis functions, like queries.

Our Development Department uses Raiser's Edge NXT as part of our Donor Relations and Communications. We also use it to track individual donors, corporate donors, and foundations. Raiser's Edge NXT also is used to help with online fundraising activities. I have also used it with our finance department to follow-up with contribution reporting.
  • Creates reports on donor gifts.
  • Generates notes and letters to donors.
  • Foundation tracking.
  • The ability to link easily with other software programs for tracking particular information.
Raiser's Edge NXT is excellent for larger organizations that can have someone dedicated to its daily operation and data entry. Being able to know last gifts and to be able to follow up on previous contacts is very helpful in having a robust donor relations program. This is software that really can help in that area.

Raiser's Edge NXT is used within the fundraising department of our organization. It is most helpful for the fundraisers for the organization. It is helpful with quick record updates and viewing, simple lists and reports. It is web-based so it is accessible from anywhere. It helps those traveling for work.
  • Quick search.
  • Portfolio management.
  • Data entry.
  • Lists/queries.
NXT is very helpful for those that are fundraising and need to take notes or look up a record. It is not helpful for the data/advancement services teams as you are unable to batch gifts, pull mailing lists, create complicated queries/reports. The interface is easy to use so training is quick, where The Raisers Edge Classic Database is a little more complicated and takes longer to train.

We are in the infant stages of implementing Raiser's Edge NXT, and already see the prospective benefits!
  • Raiser's Edge NXT allows me, as the director of institutional advancement, to have have access to our donor database where ever I go, rather than depending on pulling donor information prior to visits. Access to pertinent information is at your fingertips!
  • The ability to set report pushes to your email from RE NXT on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis is extremely convenient when wanting to promote transparency with our Head of School, CFO and Board. The graphs are easy "at a glance" information.
  • Note taking after donor meetings is very convenient from your handheld mobile device! Much easier to get information in when it is fresh after a conversation, rather than waiting to return to the office.
  • There are so many pros after using the the old Raiser's Edge for so long that it is difficult to think of cons. That said, it would be great to be able to use RE NXT instead of printing out old school phon-a-thon forms for calls, texts, eCampgains, etc. when it comes to peer-to-peer asking.
Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for limited (or extended) access for your Head of School or Executive Director. This cuts down on a prospector or stewardship coordinator pulling information prior to a donor meeting...as the information is easily accessible and easily navigated.

Raiser's Edge NXT is used by the Development team, which is across the state, but not across the entire organization. It is used for mobile access to the database, when access via desktop is not available, or not as convenient. It also has a few capabilities that the full desktop version does not have.
  • NXT can show prospects or constituents that should be contacted before they lapse without the need for queries.
  • NXT can easily pull up contact info for constituents without exact name-matching necessary.
  • NXT can be accessed from any web browser.
  • Better replication of action entry to match desktop version.
  • Better replication of tasks to match desktop version.
  • Auto-suggestion of constituents as search is typed could be improved.
I really enjoy the feature of Raiser's Edge NXT in which it automatically tells me which constituents I should pay close attention to, on initial log-in, if those constituents are in danger of lapsing. This is done automatically, without the need to run a query. This is a nice feature that is built-in.

We use it to track all of our major gift prospects as well as Grants. Most of our foundation department uses it. So far we have had no problems.
  • User Friendly
  • Great Reporting Tools
  • Web Based
  • Gift Batching Capabilities
  • Event Management
NXT is really best suited for front line fundraisers, not for everyday gift tracking/reporting. I am hoping in the future that NXT will completely replace the database view of Raiser's Edge and will be the perfect fit for all.

We have been using Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge for over 5 years now. We switched over to the Raiser's Edge NXT about 2 years ago. We mostly use this product for our fundraising team. They love how intuitive it is and easy to learn. We have a new Fundraiser director and she can not get over how much she loves NXT. She said it has been the easiest database platform to learn. It really gives us so much freedom to use our database out on the field.
  • Easy to see entire profile of constituents
  • Easy access from anywhere
  • Great reporting features built in
  • Tons of partners that make it easy to do anything in your database
  • Would be nice to have an app
  • Wish we could do everything in one place (and not have to switch to the database view)
  • Price
Our marketing department really enjoys the user-friendly interface and the capability to work in the field. We would recommend this product if you are ready to simplify your database and make everything user-friendly for your fundraisers. The downside is that we are not able to do all of our daily processing through NXT. It would be nice to have everything in one place and not have to work in the database view as well.

Raiser's Edge NXT is being used by all of our fundraising department, as well as our senior leadership team who have partners they work with. It helps organize our donor info, allowing us to run reports, keep data aligned, schedule tasks, and so much more. Ultimately, it helps us evaluate our data and raise more money for our mission.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Intuitive technology- not difficult to get up to speed.
  • Flexible. Many areas are adjustable to the needs of our organization.
  • Some of the search functions could use improvement.
  • Alerting to email would be helpful.
It really allows you to gather and analyze your data in an easy-to-use format. It's intuitive but also deeply integrated.
