Raiser's Edge NXT is a revolution!
I currently am a site admin and we use several Blackbaud products other than Raiser's and NXT. Blackbaud is a go to for any relationship management and solutions tool. I manage our WordPress website which is through Blackbaud along with our donation form through NetCommunity and Blackbaud target analytics tool. It's a little expensive but we have a full and comprehensive package with Blackbaud.

Raiser's Edge NXT in the Aloha State
Le Jardin Academy has benefited greatly from the training package we purchased. While there are quite a few resources available from Blackbaud, training times and chat have been a challenge for us due to the time difference as we are on Hawaii Standard Time.

Highly recommend RE NXT - a definite must if you already have RE

We use many Blackbaud products, and it's nice to be able to go to one place for everything. It's also nice that the products interact with each other, saving even more time. For example, we use Luminate Online which has a connector to automatically download updates into RE. Everything flows together which makes our processes smooth and efficient.

Go Get the Dough
Children's Hunger Alliance is relatively new to Blackbaud products. Conversion to Raiser's Edge was March 2016, but we are building out our fundraising plans based on RE NXT. We are hoping to be able to add other related products in the future.

A Review of RE NXT
We use Financial Edge for our payables, and the two programs speak to each other. This is nice.
For our newsletters and communications we use OLX, which is a fine program. Mainly because it speaks all together. However you have to use RE7 to access it - this could be stepped up so it could function within RE NXT itself.

Blackbaud's web-based support is generally phenomenal, so whenever we do come across a technical issue, it is usually resolved in a timely fashion, and without too much extra work on our part. They also offer great ideas for best practices themselves, as well as a first-class internet community of users that will often have even better/timelier answers than Blackbaud themselves. I have personally learned a lot from other Community members, and feel very appreciated when I am able to give help to others. Blackbaud's many services (especially Target Analytics) have been a huge help in helping us find lost donors and retaining current donors (through their Address, Phone, and Email Finder services, which were included in our NXT package). The fact that everything is integrated makes it a huge improvement over similar outside services, even though the data is sometimes somewhat less accurate than those services.

Nerdy and proud of it!
We have greatly benefited from the Blackbaud Community. I love that if I have a question I can reach out to other like minded professionals and get answers. Specifically I have joined the Blackbaud Champions group. This is an engaging forum that promotes learning and socialization.
At this particular college Raiser's Edge and NXT have been the only products used on campus. We are benefiting from the increased number of classes and training options especially with the "Best Practices" classes that cut across various industries and focus on real world application. The forums and ideas for non-profits and the routine research published is a great summary of what is happening in the non-profit world and helps us to see where we fit into a changing landscape. We are in the process of implementing a new product that Blackbaud recently acquired, AcademicWorks. This system will address scholarship management and integrate with Raiser’s Edge to provide additional functionality and data integration in the Enrollment Management, Finanical Aid and Business areas as well as providing a format for reporting on scholarships and endowments directly back to donors. Increased communication and access to relevant information across multiple departments is already having a positive effect on inter-departmental relationships. The more comprehensive solutions Blackbaud launches, the more integration and understanding we can achieve on our campus.

Good for Out of the Office Work
I think some of their webinars are helpful. I have also been to an in person conference when Blackbaud came to the metro area. Both times, I left with an increased awareness of how to fundraise and use products to do so.

NXT Review for RRH
Currently we are benefiting from NXT with our streamlined approach to donors and the donor pipeline. We are currently switching from net community to Online Express. We are looking at what new technologies can get us closer to our future campaign goals.

NXT - Gee, how did Blackbaud come up with that?!
At the same time that we adopted NXT, we fully committed to On-line Express. This product allows for email distribution as well as transactions with credit cards including for events. We also have added Research Point. The advantage with both products being the ability to integrate with the RE database.
Some of other solutions that Blackbaud offers are being used by our executive director. He has shared how he was able to find a lost address or a potential donor, too.
We also use Financial Edge and we're very pleased with it's abilities.

Great Tool
The analytic tools in NXT have been extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I inherited a database that had been inadequately populated, so much of the information is not necessarily adequate in determining wealth of the constituents in our database.

We also use Online Express and that has been great. We have not run into any issues with online donations coming over seamlessly into Raiser's Edge and having that seamless transition has been a big help to us and has allowed us to process online donations in a much more timely fashion than we were before.

Our organization has most recently benefited from Blackbaud's 'Success Services' system, in which an expert in the field will work with your organization on a personal level to evaluate your revenue and expenses in order to maximize profits. The professionals are courteous and knowledgeable in their fields of expertise and have always been able to answer our questions regarding best practices. The work that they do with other non-profit organizations is invaluable when we have the ability to access this wealth of experience from one person.

NXT has helped our growing organization
Besides NXT, we have a couple of RE classic licenses, Online Express, Financial Edge and Education Edge. We're recently outgrown Financial Edge and will be transitioning away from that, but until recently, the integration with FE has been appreciated, and has made end of month reporting fairly simple. Online Express has been a huge asset for us, allowing us to manage email communications within the RE environment, and enabling easy online event and donation management. Because of the simplicity, there are some limitations in Online Express that we find annoying - formatting of emails and forms we hope will be improved in the future. We have been disappointed with Education Edge - as a graduate school, its tools are not very useful, and we end up not benefiting too much from the integration of RE and EE. As a result, I expect we will transition away from EE in the near term. We do benefit a great deal from the online forums and information provided by Blackbaud.

Raiser's Edge NXT Review
We have been users of Academic Works for four years and when Blackbaud merged with AW last year, that spurred the conversion to RE NXT. I think this will benefit the organization due to the continuity among Blackbaud products, customer service, and integration with each other.

If you have regular Raiser's Edge, you NEED Raiser's Edge NXT.
Blackbaud's communities are very helpful to get tips and tricks from other non profit professionals who actually use the software. BB staff are very knowledgeable and helpful as well, but being able to communicate with people who actually use the software in a similar capacity as you do is very helpful.
