Less appropriate is when I need to know exactly the law about holidays in belgium.

On a short term you have a good overview of a topic. It helps also a lot that you can get examples of clauses, agreements etc. They are very useful when you must draft such ones for your company. This is even more important when new topics have to be implemented due to, for example, new legislation.

Really useful when looking for industry standard templates for policies and procedures. The flowcharts for processes are particularly useful for new HR professionals.

XpertHR is well suited to providing a good starting point for introducing a new policy or reviewing an existing one. The content organization helps reduce the risk of overlooking relevant considerations. A section on Trending topics provides a helpful prompt to keep current on current issues. The regular email alerts are sound, too, flagging up new resources.

As an experienced HR professional I still find useful information all of the time and happily recommend more junior colleagues to use it in their continued development

I have recently required advice on next-step scenarios when I have exhausted what I have. The legal service is very easy to access.

It is perfect for policies, and it follows through with policies on other helpful information that you might not have thought of, such as training screens and further research on the topic. It also refers to global information, which is useful when working in an international company. I cannot think of anything that is less appropriate as we get everything we need from it.

It is very well suited to Performance, annual leave and holiday pay, and contract of employment.

It's great in the UK, but eg. not available in Estonia, where we have an office. Because of this, some of our employees are not able to utilize the tool unfortunately.

For generalist HR teams, or employee relation teams, working on specific cases or change management exercises. For new people in HR to build up their knowledge on specific topics. Less appropriate, if you are building an HR strategy. It's very much focused on the day-to-day running of HR teams.

Well suited: straight-forward legal issues, using templates for standard ER case work and policy development. Less well-suited: When you have a very complex legal situation or when you need a more pragmatic approach to resolving an ER issue.

Xpert HR is well suited for HR professionals. I do not see it being a heavily used resource outside of HR. When i was researching a presentation topic, i enjoyed how many articles i found that gave very detailed information regarding the topic i was presenting on. I do feel like when i need a quick answer, Xpert HR is not always my first resource because I do tend to have to do some digging to find the answer i need on the site.

Provides the fundamentals for any HR function and saves hours of research.

Xpert HR provides timely, accurate, and detailed information needed by HR professionals.

I haven't looked at what we are paying for this resource, but it is valuable.

We have employees outside California, and researching each State's employment laws in one platform is very helpful, i.e., a one-stop shop for everything we need. This is where XpertHR comes in handy, and this is why we continue to subscribe to them.

I just use it as my HR bible as it is always up to date. There is a wealth of policies. The template letters are easily adapted and easy to use - all are legally compliant and available quickly. There is a catalogue of basic training available in both word and powerpoint formats.

I have found articles and guidance documents on the XpertHR webpages to be a great starting place when considering complex employee relations situations in the workplace, and it often relieves the need to get legal aid, as the examples included include legal case studies to provide rationale on the guidance.

XpertHR is particularly helpful for more junior members of the HR team that haven't yet developed the employment law experience or had exposure with certain Employee relations procedures.

It has helped when wanting to look at topical conversations, or recent concerns that have come to light. It has been useful when trying to find relevant templates of letters, formatting, and policies.
It has been less suited when I am looking for information specifically about ill health capability, and ill health dismissal, I was unable to find anything on that topic on the site, and if it is on the site, it wasn't easily findable becuase I didn't find it when looking.

These tools allow me to stay on top of the employment law changes not only in my state, but I have access to all the states. It helps me to better educate my leaders on employment law and stay in compliance with the law. I also like how easy the website is to navigate. I like how we are able to download the charts in an excel sheet to do a deeper dive.

Well suited for a HR team requiring day to day support in terms of standard letters, policies, etc. Less appropriate for roles sitting outside HR.

The dashboard option is really useful and provides regular updates on areas that you have indicated are of interest.
The News and Updates section and the Trending area highlights important and up and coming changes.
I refer to the TUPE section whenever there is a potential TUPE in or out that I am dealing with.
I've not used the Tasks area - I don't see it being a benefit for me, but I'm sure it's invaluable to others

Well suited for any company with multi-state issues/concerns. Useful for human resources teams as well as consultants as the information is current and reliable, as well as easy to use

XpertHR subscription is useful to any HR department. We have found it, particularly useful for updating our policy & documents.
