What is Buddy Punch?

Buddy Punch is an online time tracking and scheduling application. Track time, time off, locations, and jobs. The solution aims to help punching in & out intuitive for employees & easy for users to view & export time. Employees can clock in using a browser or the Buddy Punch Google, iOS, & Android apps. Users can view who's working, their GPS position or even limit where they can punch. The solution integrates with QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, & SurePayroll while also offering Excel exports. Advanced features such as Time Off Accrual Tracking, Punch Rounding, Job Codes, QR Codes, Automatic Breaks, & SSO are all included in our cloud based time clock.

Pros
  • Allows employees to edit their time punches in the event they forget to clock in or out.
  • It has the option for a picture to be taken when clocking in/out to verify an employee's location. It can prove a technical issue with our laptop and time punches.
  • Very convenient and easy to use time-off requests, and being able to be my favorite feature! It also provides easy, clear summaries of PTO and when they can be used.
Cons
  • I'd love to see the feature added to allow us to view exactly what changes our supervisors made on our time cards.
  • Uploading a picture to your profile is very frustrating to do on this app. It wont upload a personal picture from your own files but instead it makes u take a live picture with a webcam.
  • I would like to see maybe a tutorial of how to use its features. The exporting feature can be pretty confusing. Also when punching in/ out on a 3rd shift (overnight) it confuses me badly by separating the punches for after midnight into a separate punch.

  • Website layout simplicity
  • email notifications of time cards needing reviewed
  • easy navigation for submissions
  • requesting vacation or sick hours is much easier and faster. Thankfully!
Cons
  • the simplicity can go to far in that direction. So it seems a bit sparse at times. Theres a lot of dead space on some page landings.
  • update on colors to be more vibrant and fun.
  • menu buttons to go to particular specifics like vacation and sick submissions
