Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use BurrellesLuce for media monitoring - mainly print media and online content (but not social media). It helps keep track of placements as well as trend spot.
Pros and Cons
  • It's a competitively priced service for media monitoring.
  • It offers quick overviews and we get monthly and yearly reports on placement values.
  • It's easy to use.
  • Occasionally placements are missed and other times we get clips that are not for us. These mistakes have been taken care of fast and seamlessly.
Likelihood to Recommend
As a basic media monitoring service, BurrellesLuce offers a great value. If you need fancier reporting, more in-depth monitoring, etc., there are other services - but they charge a lot more.
Return on Investment
  • It's a great tool to use for monitoring and reporting on clips generated and their value
  • Clients can easily see media value generated each month
  • The generated value might not be 100% "true" but offers a great measuring tool
Alternatives Considered
We use Cision for media databases mostly. In the past we've used a variety of clipping services. For social media we use Hootsuite, mention, viraltag, etc.
