CallRail seemed to have an easier setup and ease of use for onboarding new staff as well. The overall tracking structure and analytics seemed better with CallRail. CallRail also allows you to understand the call history and understand if this was a first touch or multiple touches which I do not believe was an option with CallTrackingMetrics.

Convirza is very similar in its functioning with CallRail but the quality CallRail provides is unmatchable. The customer service of Convirza was really bad and we found that quite hard software but on the other hand, CallRail is a very straightforward tool for call tracking.

CallRail has offered us the best solutions so far in terms of multiple aspects. #1 is scalability, we are a growing agency, we see clients come and go, CallRail has made it easy and efficient with new accounts being onboarded, UI backs up this process. Also, the multiple integrations it offers, has allowed to keep up with our clients as all clients use different tools and software, so partnering with a company with all these integrations has been a good investment.

We also use Fix Your Funnel. It is specifically for integration with Keap (formerly Infusionsoft). Also a FABULOUS piece of software. It is just as robust as CallRail but has some unique features. I highly recommend calling them for a walk through if you use Keap.

We've found CallRail to be easier to use than other systems that we've used or reviewed for potential purchase. Product support is good and there is a fair amount of users so finding solutions to problems online is relatively easy. Our team has found it easy to setup as well.

Google AdWords does have tracking numbers but you can't listen to the calls and you can't integrate them in the code of your website. It's super helpful to have multi-touch tracking with cookies, so if someone hits a site via AdWords first and then comes back later via direct traffic, it's properly attributed to AdWords.

Twilio offers a much more robust business phone and SMS solution that also offers call tracking. For just the call tracking, which is what we needed, CallRail was perfect. We didn't need the additional features that Twilio offered.

We have utilized Google call tracking within AdWords before, but considering it is a Google product, it can sometimes be biased. Having that third party vendor elevates that.
Google Call tracking is only limited to running AdWords campaigns, so if we need to use a phone number in any other fashion within our business, it couldn't be used.

CallRail does not have a lot of good competitors. In addition to that, the CallRail team is always looking for ways to add more functionality and make the product work better which is great as not all companies do this. I think that this make them a much better overall value as you are going with a company that you know will give you the best value for your money and will only continue to add value over time. When I looked at the competitors, it only made sense to use CallRail as the solution for our pay per call tracking needs.

I have used Marchex and Navis in the past, and those platforms aren't as functional, or as easy to use as CallRail. Setting up new numbers takes about 1 minute, and the amount of tracking options and placement capabilities makes it the easiest call tracking platform I've ever used. In the past, having to manually export spreadsheets to report on data was cumbersome at best, CallRail automates a lot of that process.

CallRail have been more accommodating, helpful, organised and understanding of our business requirements than our two previous call tracking providers in the UK. Combine with the massive cost saving and self-service abilities we have from the back end of CallRail, switching over was a no-brainer. I wish I'd found CallRail 2 years earlier when we started with call tracking.

Seems like it is basically the same as PhoneWagon. Phone wagon is slightly cheaper but has a FEW less features. The one that makes a difference for me is the Bing Ads integration that Callrail offers but not Phonewagon.

I've used Marchex and a few other homegrown solutions, and a handful of other small companies that I can't seem to remember (too many years ago) their names. None of them really stood out to me as being a great solution. I haven't used Marchex in a few years, but overall they weren't great. They were good, but complex to setup and their interface and reporting was extremely basic. It's been a few years since using Marchex though so it could be a lot better, I'm just not sure.

We haven't used any other type of system that is equivalent to CallRail. For some of our campaigns, we utilize CallSource, but CallSource falls flat in the keyword and landing page data. We are only able to get call recordings from them, and while that is useful, we can't find out what actually drove the conversion.

Callrail has a very seamless and easy to use Dynamic Number Swap function. In other call tracking that we looked into the integration was either not as easy to use or required much more work to implement. Setting up CallRail has been so easy even our entry-level employees need very little training to master the platform.
