I've had to train multiple staff in our organization, and a few contractors outside the organization, how to use our Canto to find the content that they require and it's always been a really easy process. I think that speaks well to how usable the platform is for people with varying technical experience.

I would give Canto a 9 in usability because it is a very easy to use product and my team received an extensive on-boarding. I felt like the training, combined with the intuitive user interface of Canto makes it a breeze for users to navigate through the system and find what they need in a quick manner.

Canto has many amazing features and also the great ability to join many platforms together in one place.
Canto can be easy to use once you have been given some training. Canto utilizes different verbiage for their filing system which does take some getting used to. You have to retrain your brain a little to how the tiers within the Canto files actually work. The usability for the search feature is amazing because you can type in a broad description and get a multitude of matches, which might be exactly what you are looking for. But for those more precise searches where you are looking for something very specific, Canto gives you the ability to type in very detailed words and phrases to detail your search. Canto's usability is also much more beneficial when all users are trained properly and take the time to put in keywords that will help in the future. Overall it's not a super difficult program to learn and it's usefulness is worth the learning curve.

Canto is easy-to-use and user-friendly, even for the team members who aren't exactly software-saavy. It's organized in a way that actually makes sense and easy to customize to suit your needs. The Canto portals are quite handy, especially for our clients to be able to access their completed art files and are also easy to set up with a WYSIWYG editor. We're able to customize and brand each portal for our clients and so far they've been very pleased.

Canto is not overly user-friendly. I do not love the internal logic and internal organization system. It's also fairly expensive for limited users. It's a classic case of not doing enough research to determine where actual users go to find relevant information/system preferences internally. It is also fairly limited on number of portals available.

It's visual organization of images is awesome - better than others out there, but the folder/album structure is somewhat confusing and not the most intuitive. Also I love scrolling through the image library with their great search feature, but beware that at a certain point on your scroll - the whole Canto site will just refresh, starting you back at your original search results -- effectively losing your visual place in search. I've noted this to the Canto team, but still see the problem happening.

Canto is very usable with a lot of content that can be stored and used. However, there are multiple ways to get to the same place, which actually makes it more difficult to take a straightforward approach. There are also some limits to what editing and adjustments you can make on the software, which makes it harder all around.

Overall Canto is a comprehensive digital asset management system. We are able to share and store our assets easily and the search functionality is fairly intuitive. Sometimes the interface is slow and photos/videos take longer than I would like to scroll through on screen. The smart tag feature isn't something we use very often as the tags are often times not very accurate. As a one stop database for image assets Canto is good but maybe not exceptional in usability.

Canto seems to be modeled to be about as user friendly as possible. For any users that are simply going on it to find and share assets, it really couldn't be easier. It's an extremely easy to follow, and simple platform. The one caveat here is that the admin side is not so as much. There are many settings pages, and they are a bit cumbersome and hard to find. I find myself reaching out to Canto reps on simply pointing me in the right direction on changing a simple setting.

The whole point of why we started using Canto in the first place was for it's intuitive user interface (UI). From day one it was easy to train on and start adapting to. Our initial asset import became a breeze, too. Folder structure is important, but the tagging and keywording, including Canto's "smart search", has allowed each of our team members to find what they want without sifting through folders for days.

Overall usability is great, but it still could with some improvements for example by improving bulk uploads. When uploading a folder with a number of assets with different file extensions, not all files will upload which resulting going back and checking what's missing and then uploading individually, not ideal when using this as your main backup solution.

Once you get the hang of it, it's fabulous. The learning curve can be difficult for those that didn't onboard/set up the tool, especially if they aren't in it all the time. The curve is as steep as it is because of how robust the tool is, so the pros definitely outweigh the cons here.

It's pretty intuitive and easy to learn. We offer internal training and people find that it's usually pretty quick with few questions at the end if any. The documentation is thorough. I can almost always find what I'm looking for, but when I have questions the help center is useful and I very rarely have to reach out to get a question answered.

Canto is about as easy to use as it gets. I have personally trained a handful of employees who are unfamiliar with DAM/marketing SaaS technology on how to use the platform for their needs. These trainings only take about half an hour (given they are using a very limited set of Canto's features), and afterward, they are pretty well-equipped to use the platform.

Canto passes the test for what we needed it to do. There are better products out there, but the price for those products makes them unreasonable for the basic functionality of a DAM system that we needed.

Canto lacks functionality that would make it a tough competitor, especially for the price point, of the other products. But product development seems to not be focused on the areas that need it the most.

Overall, Canto is a good product and does what we need it to do. But there is room for improvement.
