Great way to learn and digest new information!
It is used to train engineers on new technology. I use it to keep informed on new ways and methods for keeping the organizations we support secure.
- Multiple trainers on the site
- Practice knowledge tests
- Videos length makes it easier to fit into the schedule.
- Quality trainers, with real experience.
- While the trainers are good, sometimes their accent make them hard to understand.
- More practice questions at the end that simulate the certification test.
- Perhaps a score card that with those questions that tell you where to spend more time training.

- Reinforcing the importance of staying current and learning.

Udemy is good for the price, but the quality isn't up to the same standard.

I used CBT Nuggets as a learning platform to help me in my IT Certification goals.<br>I completed some courses (ENCOR, ENARSI, PCAP and Microsoft ones) and achieved most of my goals.

CBT Nuggets is used as a training platform for
training employees and interns for various IT certifications and other skills in my organization. Having a
modular approach to the learning system, this tool solves many learning
challenges that employee faces like not having time to complete long training
videos or attend regular classes, etc., For businesses it also covers the
upskilling process of employees as well as smoothening the learning curve in organization.

The major plus side of CBT Nuggets is in its
core feature itself. It provides content in a byte-size format (nuggets)
joining all create a learning package. Videos are arranged in a logical and
connected manner yet if one needs to skip some parts which
they already know, they have the freedom to do so without losing the
engagement. A simple and clean interface designed to maximize the learning
experience is better for employees or part-time learners. As compared to degrees
it has virtual labs for various courses. While AWS Self-Paced Labs are focused
on cloud computing and AWS, CBT Nuggets spread its labs across most of the
IT Domains. Overall, the experience is
good to have a comprehensive training tool with usage reporting and learnersā
management.

CBT Nuggets and On-Demand training
I started using CBT Nuggets in my last job and suggested it for my current position. The training courses/videos are great and love that they are usually broken down to 10-15 minute segments which makes it slightly easier to squeeze in a video or two during downtime. It's great with multiple licenses to distribute accounts throughout your organization accordingly for a fraction of the cost an actual 5-day course.
- It's on-demand. You can take zero or 100 courses for the same price and at your own convenience.
- Courses are organized extremely well and instructors are great.
- You can cover a wide range of training topics - Microsoft, Networking, database, ETC.
- You can go back and re-watch videos to get a better understanding.
- Because it is on-demand, it's difficult to carve out time to dedicate to training.
- I've had trouble with following along with some of the lab exercises.
- It's rare, but videos can freeze up. You'll need to close the tab and start over.
- Training is always an important goal each year but always the first to be cut from the budget. This is a cheaper alternative and can offer more than a single course.
- We don't need to send someone away for an entire week for training, it can be viewed any time.
While you don't get the live instructor that you get with some other solutions, I've found the videos to be extremely helpful. If something is unclear, usually going back to re-watch clears things up for me. I like to get my hands in lots of server and networking functions and CBT Nuggets is great for both.
