Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Checkfront is the main resource for my role. I am able to tackle basic reservations based on what inventory has been added, and run detailed reports to find discrepancies. It can be as simple or as detailed as you want. Everything is color coded and user friendly, which makes it easy to train new reservationists.
Pros and Cons
  • Intuitive, user friendly interface
  • Inventory and Customer Calendar views
  • Export reports to excel
  • Email customer function from invoice page
  • Notes notes notes!! on the invoice
  • There is often a lag when loading that is not related to my browser or internet connection. Sometimes it just takes forever to load.
  • The "log" tab from the invoice page is almost useless. Clearer/more simple data and info there would be great.
  • Search function is a little finicky.
Likelihood to Recommend
Checkfront is very intuitive and user friendly which makes it easy to train new seasonal staff quickly.

We operate out of several different locations. Each outpost manager has the ability to go into checkfront and modify inventory based on their needs and availability, which makes communication easy and eliminates overbooking

The customer and inventory calendar views allow me to "play Tetris" with lodging assignments to optimize guest experience.
