We have hardly faced routers with notable performance troubles even when the marked capacity has been utilized till the maximum. Though compared to the predecessor Cisco 7200 series, it has sharply improved but more enhancements can be done as well.

  • HSRP is working well and switches to the spare fast, if tuned.
  • Integrates in a whole end-2-end environment with other Cisco hw
  • DNA is a very nice tool for end-2-end configurations and assurance to solve problems with the troubleshooting possibilities
  • Hardware is rack-mountable, even the smaller 1900er Routers have bracket to install them in racks

Cisco Routers are more reliable than all other brands I have used before, mainly regarding data centers. The new architecture of the ASR providing scalability and with all different types of modules you can use in any kind of environment and can solve all needs. We are deploying a new data center using ACI and Cisco Routers and we are very happy with the results.

Our Cisco Routers route well and never have any performance issues within their expected capacity. The routing protocol implementations are solid. They just work.
