  • Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 1000) and Cisco Meraki MX
The Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers have more capacity than the 1000 series. Both provide similar features but if you have a site with many users, you should go for Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers.
Meraki is less reliable than the regular Cisco ISRs. We have had better experience with failover situations, reviewing logs and overall performance with ISRs.

It's widely compatible with many products, we can integrate with all products. Not to mention it integrate with Cisco ISE and yes it's working well. We even integrate with third party access point. Currently we're using Meraki access point. And we use it with the FTD firewall and even we integrate with other third party firewall. We found out it's working well, not a problem. We don't have to worry about integration. It comes with the standard protocol with every other product support. I feel like other products are trying to catch up the networking design by Cisco.

Good router, although the addons can get very expensive.

I have used the previous models (3600/3700/3800/3900) as well as some models from other vendors. Overall, these have performed quite well. These have needed more software and hardware upgrades to keep working, but they are weathering well. Cisco has deployed some immature products over the past few years, it is good to see that these are good.
