Cisco ASA 5500-X still commanding Respect
Palos are great but they are a bit more expensive. Cisco ASA 5500-Xs are very competitive budget-wise. Small to medium offices can easily afford Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirewPOWER services compared to Palo Altos. At the end of the day cisco even though more affordable still get the protection you need from a firewall.

Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services
- Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 1000)
The Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services is a full-blown firewall whereas the security feature license on the ISR 1K router is a lot easy to configure. To be honest I'm not a great fan of Zone-based firewalls but I guess familiarity develops with how much you use a product.

Powerful and fits any size network
Cisco technically has better support on things like VPN, but the Fortinet seems slightly cheaper.

ASA Firewalls still a good value for branch offices
Meraki MX is a much robust product, however in terms of licenses, Meraki MX you need to pay a per-year basic subscription that in 3 years surpass the value of the ASA 5500-X with features that you may not need. This is for a branch firewall not for the Main firewall.

Next generation firewall || Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services
We were using the pfSense but lots of security features were missing and lots of bugs in the firewall. We had faced lots of issues with pfSense. The configuration is very difficult. Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services is very easy to configure and manage firewall and the cost is very low and all the security features are available for help.

Cisco ASA 5500- A firewall with world-class security controls
Cisco has been industry for a long time and it's a trustworthy name. Cisco ASA 5500-X FirePOWER has the best Customer Support and robust hardware, user friendly configurations, [and] configuration documentations [are] available openly on internet. Cisco has also [been] named a leader in gartner report for consecutive years.
I selected Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services because it has accelerated performance, it is efficient, simple to use, and reliable with fewer errors and it is a good value for money. Also, the product has lasted us for more than three years now without any factory faults or a need for an upgrade or maintenance and by the way things look, it will last for more years to come.

Next Generation Firewall with Advanced Features || Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services Review
- Cisco ASA
We were using Cisco ASA but security features were missing so we discussed with Cisco and upgraded with FirePOWER Services. We are using all the features like AMP, IPS, sandbox etc for network security. We have very critical client data so clients want the security for our organization.
- Cisco ASA
We were using Cisco ASA in our organization but lots of security services were missing so we purchased the [Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services]. It provides us application layer security and deep packet scan features for protecting our organization from any type of cyber attack. Configuration and deployment are very easy and you will never face any type of downtime.
- Cisco ASA
We were using Cisco ASA 5525 but lots of security features were missing so we decided to upgrade with Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services. Now we are using advanced features like sandbox, IPS, malware protection, URL filtering, etc.

Cisco ASA 5500-X with Firepower for Deep Scanning
We were using Cisco ASA before in our environment but when it comes to advance security features it doesn't have to provide that much reliability. After using Cisco ASA 5500-X with Firepower provides high-security features such as Sandboxing & Deep Scanning. It also provides IDS Solution that provides high alert reporting.

Cisco ASA 5500-X Scalable Firewall
In comparison to Sophos Firewall, Cisco ASA 5500-X is still better with Firepower services. Reason is first its support and second its scalability. It has catered the request for all the users in our company without any throughput issue while using the Cisco AnyConnect remote VPN services and Site to Site VPN services.

Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services Review
Cisco ASA FirePOWER provides us lots of features like sandboxing and advanced malware protection which provides us more security. But lots of options are missing and more complicated in Sophos XG Firewall. You will face lots of issues during implementation in existing network. CLI commands very difficult and not easy to remember during troubleshooting.

Cisco ASA 5500 series has your back!
Wasn't sure what to select here but I wouldn't recommend Comcast Business Internet. We used them in the past [as] a failover provider for our main provider and it was very unreliable. We have since moved to another secondary provider which is working much better.
Previous],] I was using the [pfSense] in my organization but when i switched to [Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services] I realized there are lots of issue and missing security features in [pfSense]. The deployment and configuration is very easy as compare to [pfSense]. I highly recommend this product to everyone.
I used pfSense open-source tool in which technical support and documentation is not available like Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services firewall. so I choose ASA just because this version of cisco ASA is really offering new advanced-level security in the normal budget for my organization.

Cisco ASA 5500-X with Firepower adds next generation features to the classic Cisco Firewall
The [Cisco ASA 5500-X with FirePOWER Services] does compete okay when compared to other devices. This model is begging to age and does not perform as well as the newer models but that is to be expected. I think their interface is okay but again I think ASDM is aging more compared to other web only based interfaces. Cisco has replaced these models with the Firepower 1000 and 2000 series and I think if you were to purchase a direct replacement that would be it. I think they still work in todays security world and will for a few more years, so if you have one you don't need to run out and replace them this year.

Cisco ASA 5500-X Review
I have worked on both the Cisco ASA and the Fortigate firewall from Fortinet. Although both technologies are very good, each of them has their strengths and weaknesses. The Cisco ASA is a rock-solid appliance manufactured with lots of quality components. The Cisco ASA interface was good and better than the previous / older models. However, the Fortigate firewall had more features and a more user-friendly GUI interface. Depending on your existing networking infrastructure, I would definitely look into both of these brands.

Cisco ASA 5500-X with FIREPOWER Review
It has also good customer service and excellent TAC support.

The venerable ASA line with added FirePOWER is still staying relevant in an advanced world
I have some familiarity with other products in the firewall space, but I feel that Cisco offers the best ability to integrate all of our data sources together, being that the majority of the infrastructure is Cisco. That being said, Check Point, Fortinet, F5 and others offer strong competition to Cisco.

Good firewall, but not the latest line anymore.
We came from the 5505 & 5520 devices, so choosing the 5500-X was a logical choice.
