Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) is well suited on small and medium sites that need entry-level voice and IP telephony capabilities, together with powerful, easy-to-use collaboration tools. However , if a single user interface or VMware servers are deal breakers for you, I suggest another call system will likely be a better fit.

Businesses in the 200+ staff (and/or handsets) and more is where this shines. Very scalable and pretty straight forward to manage once running. Does have a significant learning curve for administration but organizations this size usually have skilled staff on house.

I recommend Cisco Business Edition 6000 for scenarios of up to 1200 devices and 1000 users. It's ok for us because we have 800 users, and there are still a lot of licenses left. The Cisco Business Edition 6000 solution is implemented in our data center with redundancy to avoid any downtime. We use messaging, voice, and video features on phones and softphones installed on corporate computers. We have access from anywhere and anytime.

The Cisco BE6K solution is probably the best collaboration platform out there at the moment. Starting from application deployment using Prime Collaboration Deployment to [the] integration of the on-premises platform with cloud services, deployment, and administration [is] a breeze. The tight integration with Cisco endpoints and the ability to individually manage them also helps to ensure an unparalleled user experience. With Cisco CSR 14, administrative tasks like software upgrades and user onboarding have been made simpler. More could be done though to improve those 2 areas.

The many features and functions are simple to grasp, and customer service is always quick and helpful. It is Ideal for a big contact center with 50 or more workers taking calls. With this arrangement, which includes telephone gear on each workstation, you'll have a clearer and better connection no matter where you are. If the customer has a small business site they can use [Cisco Business Edition 6000] because it has all the services they need. The customer can buy another one at another site if the business needs it, then the administrator can integrate them with each other. Comprehensive unified communications capabilities include voice and video calling, voicemail, messaging, and presence and contact center mobility for each user.

The Cisco [Business Edition 6000 (BE6000)] is well suited for organizations that have experienced IT staff, or an experienced consultant. Adds/changes do require experience and are not a “next, next, next” type of environment that power users can easily figure out. The system is good for mid range companies, roughly 30 to 1,000 user systems. It may be overkill for smaller than 20-30 user environments.

For a scenario where number of users are less than 1000 and if you need fully UC features, its the best choice. The number of applications supported on the platform is more than enough to run all our UC applications. if the number of users is more than 1K, you need to think towards a platform like Business Edition 7000.

Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) is well suited for midrange environments. If you want to silo your communication and collaboration environment is easy to implement without effecting your datacenter environment (Storage,vCPU,vRAM). You have your own little island with the BE6000. And with a second pair, you could easily cluster your environment and have a redundant solution.

Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) is well suited for environments where we have less than 1000 users, and mostly for remote offices needing hybrid cloud deployment.

It is less suited where there are more than 4 UC applications needed, and will need to go to Cisco UCS solution other than the Cisco BE 6000.

It works well for us. We have 583 phone extensions or devices deployed. It is nice that we can put the same extension on multiple phones, rather than having to create a phantom extension, then add the DSS busy lamp to the phone. Employees love the voicemail to email integration. They would not live without it going forward.

One of the best telephony solutions.

The Cisco Business Edition 6000 is an excellent option when you want to centralize your telephony infrastructure; you will only need a good VPN connection to the server from each site and this solution will work very well. The bandwidth that calls consume is not relevant.
If you have some devices from other vendors and handle SIP, you can stay with those devices because BE6000 can handle the integration for 3rd party SIP devices. If you need to improve business process agility and drive innovation, this is a recommended option.

We deployed the BE6000 at some small sites that were not well connected to the rest of our enterprise network to provide local voice services. The appliance was easy to deploy and configure for the use case. We even set up SIP trunking between the remote systems and our main enterprise system.
