Because of it is user-friendly while configuration, provides enhanced security, performance and high reliability. Also it provides scalability and flexibility.

They are consistently reliable and this switch in particular is a very affordable solution. We can place the Cisco Catalyst 1000 Series Switches gear in areas that we normally would not place a switch because it is affordable enough to make it justifiable. And because it is a reliable solution, we are confident it will continue to provide service over the long haul.

We are happy with our experience with Catalyst switches; however, when it is time to refresh our equipment, we do a comparison to other players in the market. Catalyst has met our needs but if another switch or vendor has a better product or solution and a comparable price point, we could move away from Catalyst.

We have now bought 468 switches, and we will most likely continue using this series, because it is the switch that is the cheapest for our needs. Maybe for some specific use cases, we will use the Catalyst 9300 series. Because we are more pressed on manpower, that money, we stick with what works.

Catalyst offers a wide range of switch solutions that have supported the needs that we have. Couple that with their relatively easy to use IOS interface, our staff is able to adequately manage these devices without needing advanced training. Cisco has also provided great support whenever there was a situation that we could not resolve concerning these switches.
