We use these catalyst switches as the layer to connectivity where we connect them to a router and we also connect the endpoints to these switches. Across any supermarket, any topology will consist of any two to four switches, the layer switches and one router. We use these catalyst switches as the later devices in there. All the supermarket pause machines, the CCTV cameras, the access points, and all of these are connected to these catalyst switches.

In our organization, Cisco Catalyst Switches, including the C9500-40X, play a critical role in ensuring our network operates smoothly, efficiently, and securely. These switches are used to address several business challenges, including network scalability, reliability, security, and performance, all of which are vital for our operations. 1. Network Scalability and Performance Business Problem: As our company grows, so does the need for a robust network capable of handling increasing amounts of traffic and more devices. Solution: The Cisco Catalyst Switches C9500-40X has been essential in scaling our network to meet the growing demand. Its high-speed 40GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) ports ensure seamless data flow, providing excellent performance even under heavy traffic. It enables us to add more users and devices without sacrificing speed or connectivity. This is crucial for supporting our business operations, especially as we expand into new areas and adopt more advanced technologies. However, it's worth noting that the C9500-40X anounced its End of Life (EOL) status, which is unfortunate.

Connect different sites in our country. In our organization, we have 84 sites. Every site uses Cisco Catalyst Center. We are very happy. The performance is incredible. It's very safe and fast. We need to use more Cisco like routers or ACI to improve our quality of service. Moreover, it's very friendly to use.

We are using it in our office for the campus network, and also we are proposing it for our customers. These are robust platform switches which works for all types of customers and works for years. We can install once and forget about it as we will have lesser maintenance of these switches.

In our context they mostly are used as a port multiplier when using Cisco Routers, when the routers themselves don't provide enough ports, or on big campus sites are used to separate client traffic and device traffic from each other through their VLAN capabilities and ensure only valid users and devices are allowed to access certain networks.
