Cisco TALOS is the leader in threat intelligence, we the regular feed, threat inspection becomes great and helps in defending threats of the age. TALOS continuously looks for new threats and shares all the data with the firewall and keeps it updated.

The Cisco Firepower 1000 Series provides a lot of security features to protect our organization. Advanced IPS always keeps an eye on our incoming and outgoing traffic connections and stops any suspicious activity very quickly. The performance of Cisco Firepower is very good and I am really happy with all the services.

The detail of what you can have it protect from a packet level is second to none. Down the vulnerability. They update auto"magically" and with the subscription many and most times before you even find out about active exploits.

Cisco Firepower provides a lot of advanced features to protect your organization against any type of threat or cyber-attack. We implemented Cisco Firepower because we previously experienced cyber-attacks. Since implementation, we have not faced any issues. This is a very secure firewall.

The performance when not activated all the features and licenses is excellent, however when activating everything we feel that there was a reduction in performance. Features like ssl decription use a lot of cpu and memory. In general everything is ok and firepower works well.

It's using Snort IPS, which is one of the best. Basically, they brought Snort from Sourcefire when Cisco bought the company but I think that they still have much work to improve it. Moreover I think they need to implement SSL decryption for better threat management.

Cisco Firepower has features for threat protection. We have not used all of these yet. They do require additional licenses, which we have purchased. From my experience with advanced features, it is best to monitor them before you turn them loose as that can have some undesirable results. LOL. There certainly are more full-featured appliances but for the price point and the reliability these have you can't beat them.

it controls users' activity for the whole organization. We use it as a security device to manage users' access, control access policies, log security events, for intrusion prevention and intrusion detection purposes with Firepower Management Center, and to protect the internal network from outside threats and unauthorized access.

We have a small set of use cases that we use the Cisco Firepower 1000 Series within our organization. The performance that the Cisco Firepower 1000 Series provides for these functions is consistent with what we expect and have experienced with previous Cisco Firewalls. We are happy with the performance.

Great performance even on the lower end model of the series. You can push a lot of traffic through these devices without much performance impact. If you decide you want to inspect encrypted traffic however, you may take a big hit on the cpu and memory of the box, but they still manage to keep up even with all the bells and whistles turned on.

I examine the malware threat every day and see that the Firewall is able to block all the malicious IP addresses without being so aggressive that users start complaining about access.

The threat detection capability performance is excellent with the support of Cisco Threat Intel. It supports lots of policies to filter and acts as primary firewall in the environment. The Firepower handles high bandwidth and high availability in an excellent way, which is a notable feature. The VPN connectivity count is less, I would say, it needs to increase the VPN user connectivity count.

Cisco Talos backed threat solution provides a robust comprehensive security solution. Sourcefire technology has been nicely integrated to give the product more robustness. The system is very robust and even fully loaded with threat license features it can easily handle the entire company’s mitigation load. There is still plenty of available throughput for the full feature set.
