Price is the most important to choose which solution to be purchased. Nutanix gave the best price with no cost for Cisco HyperFlex but feature wise Nutanix offers a tiered license. Also no capability to utilize existing SAN to Nutanix VX Rail come up with higher price but no clear roadmap in the future, looks like the product already discontinue VSAN is a good option too, but based on our test the performance is not better than Cisco HyperFlex also lack features

Compares favorably to Nutanix and SimpliVity. Nutanix however has been around longer and has a bigger feature set than Hyperflex, which is in Nutanix's favor. However, while Nutanix does everything, it doesn't always do everything well.

SimpliVity on the other hand tends to work well in environments where data redundancy and replication is the most important factor.

As part of the solution, Cisco HyperFlex gives you more options for managing, monitoring and controlling your enterprise infrastructure. The mobility and flexibility of the services allow administrators full control of the server farm and services. In addition, the availability of monitoring capabilities and API allows the use of monitoring systems like Zabbix, Observium.

We can compare Cisco HyperFlex against other solutions in terms of scalability, performance, availability, administration, solution management, and technical support (TAC) where it takes advantage of being an all-in-one solution (easy to manage) that provides more options of administration than the hyper viewer has natively. In addition, it can grow according to what is required (processing, memory, or storage), thus making operating costs more efficient. And last but not least, it is backed by a highly efficient support area from Cisco.

HyperFlex is built on top of Cisco UCS infrastructure, which allows us to manage other non-HX servers attached to the same UCS environment. This allows us to tie everything together via Intersight and see all of the servers in our data centers. Other platforms don't really have a comparable offering.

Interestingly enough, depending on which box you purchased the two may be able to be combined into one setup. The UCS series is great and provides a lot of compute but lacks the storage. Hyperfex has a bit less compute but contains lots of storage space and memory needed for VDI.

HX stacks up well ahead of the competition (we are running all the three HCI's) in terms of performance, stability, seamless integration with network backbone (no conflicts!), unified management of UCSM and most importantly, it helped us setup data centre level HA just with 2 node cluster per data centre and it is working flawlessly in case of failure scenarios. Cisco TACs prompt and skilled support and fastest deployment time (without issues). Even the node addition in cluster and data equalisation is superb!.
