  • It's fantastic for being in the Meraki dashboard and actually looking at quality of signal. I can look at up times, down times, ease of use when it comes to if I would have to reboot the MG 21E in case it does have a problem.
  • Overall reliability: since we switched to the MG 21 E, we've rarely have a problem with it when it comes to the cellular performance going down.
  • Maybe the built-in DHCP options on it could probably be tweaked a little bit because we have had issues where if we reboot our MX unit and the MG 21E tries to hand out DHCP addresses, which has caused an issue. So that's one thing that I would say could probably use some tweaking.

  • In sight into the cellular connection
  • Dashboard integration, single pane of glass
  • SIM card failover
  • The routing integration is done manually, although the dashboard knows everything about the Cisco Meraki MG and MX of the same network. This could be easier and more Meraki-like.

  • Seamless changeover to LTE (Cellulor network) in times of failure of ethernet connectivity in your company.
  • Continuous backup for ethernet. No Downtime experienced.
  • It provides you with ability to manage all devices in your network.
  • Next generation Firewall, Traffic Shaper and Internet Gateway that is centrally managed on web.
  • Meraki Products are not configured to operate offline.
  • Had some issues with filtering features.
  • Advanced features need to be easy to access for users. Should be more user friendly.

  • Updates can be run from the portal, which eliminates a lot of sensitive parts.
  • From managing configuration information to checking current status and managing software releases, you can do it all with a single portal.
  • If you use Cisco Meraki MG, you don't want to manage it by connecting to network devices with SSH, etc.
  • A DHCP configuration would be fine, but a fixed IP configuration seems to require a twist in the configuration.
  • If possible, it's just a subscription. With no initials and just a subscription, I think it's a "feature product" that may convince the superior even if the price is a bit high.
  • I am happy with wireless and all in one, but I feel that the management screen is old, so I think it is better to renew it a bit more.

  • Easy to use
  • Easy to configure
  • Easy to operate with other uplinks
  • If a PIN is detected and requires configuration, the cellular gateway will stop here until resolved.
  • Troubleshooting could be more intuitive.
  • You always need to check the proper signal of the SIM in order for MG can function. Any additional alert could be fine.
