There is just one cloud console to configure all Cisco Meraki MX devices, so if you have 200 devices across the world, you can manage them via one centralized console as long as they have reachability to the internet. If you have branches split into regions (EMEA, APAC, etc.) then there is separate console for each, but can be switched easily via one centralized MSP console. Keep in mind that each ORG (console) is a separate AutoVPN instance, which does not communicate with other AutoVPN.

Previously we’ve had internal SMEs for various products related to networking, but now with Cisco Meraki MX, anyone in our team, can update deploy and configure our Meraki stack.

Our organization has a small operations team and only one network engineer, but with Cisco Meraki MX, our systems engineers are able to handle some incidents because the Cisco Meraki MX interface is user-friendly and intuitive.

The biggest benefit has been to be able to pre-configure all appliances before shipping to remote branch offices and being able to quickly assist with troubleshooting problems in offices without IT professionals present.

APIs make it easy to deploy a lot of locations in a short amount of time. Monitoring at a high level is very easy. The entrance barrier for junior colleagues for small projects is very low. We can choose customers from all over the world since the configuration is in the cloud.

It sounds like zero touch provisioning. As long as the device has internet connectivity, we can download from Meraki Cloud all the configurations we previously made in the dashboard.

We have very limited IT staff. This product has been very useful in allowing us to maintain a high level of service with the limited staffing we have.
The single portal integration with switches and APs gives us a seamless look at our network and helps us get to the root of potential issues and resolve them quickly and efficiently.

The firewall rules can be easily rolled out using templates. With a large set of rules, you quickly lose track of things; that's something that needs to be worked on. The security center provides rather less information; this is not enough to keep the operation running.

Normally, Cisco Meraki MX helps to manage devices by making them on the cloud. So administration users can easily see the device status and network status and do configurations as required on the move. This gives solid experience in managing the network by reducing implementation and troubleshooting time. Also, an alert system helps keep incidents lower.

Centralized management and product interfaces that follow established "looks" that are thematically similar with different details reduce training time on new products, which results in a more profitable bottom line for our company. The ability to manage multiple WiFi networks inside a business easily expands to provide targeted coverage for businesses that encompass multiple acres of real estate (such as a sawmill/logging operation). Contractors with multiple work sites can manage everything in the Cisco Meraki MX pane of glass from a central location. Preconfiguring devices, shipping to a site, and having a person with no IT knowledge plug them in and everything works is priceless.

We can bring up a new small site in a few hours. It can be tested in the office just as it will be in the field. This lets us pre-configure and send an entire "network in a box" to a remote site. The remote site can then unpack plug and be running in a few minutes.

I find the Cisco Meraki MXs to be very easy to use until you get into heavy networking but that is also a knowledge thing and does not reflect poorly on the Cisco Meraki MX. I have been able to set up some complex networking on the Cisco Meraki MX, and the features provided allowed me to set up everything I needed. This includes VLAN, Backhaul routing, static routes, etc... Don't let the interface fool you, these Cisco Meraki MXs are powerful and packed full of features. Everything else is very straightforward and contains helpful descriptions of some of the features to assist your understanding. I personally love Cisco Meraki MX.

The device is set to work out of the box. All you need is to add the serial number of the MX in the Meraki dashboard to manage it. The MX works without any configuration since everything is in the allowed policy. Once the MX is online with an internet connection and is live on the Meraki dashboard, we can start to assign policies and other security parameters as per our needs, and the same will be pushed to the Cisco Meraki MX.

We are able to see and manage the remote LANs we have up and down the east coast of the US with minimal fuss using Cisco Meraki compared to the unmanaged WAN we had prior to that. We have also been able to see the issues with ISPs and notify branches ahead of them calling us regarding issues.

As stated, you can do everything inside the browser: configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, etc. The mobile app allows for network monitoring and simple diagnostics, but not configuration. That's ok: the app provides for simple, easy check-ins to ensure everything is up and running as designed. For serious work, you use a browser. But that's really the point, in that you don't need anything else. You don't have to stand at the device. You can literally be a thousand miles away and make changes to your network. That's a game changer. I can update policies and check on security from literally anywhere there is an internet connection. Since my entire network is Meraki, not just the firewall, I can manage everything on my network from a single browser tab. That's worth every penny.

Both ourselves and our customers continue to benefit from the rapid deployment timescales of Meraki MX appliances, with often zero touch provision being leveraged at remote site / office locations.
Administration is also no longer restricted to just the security guy within the IT Team, it can and has been expanded out to other individuals who are now more than capable and confident to manage a Meraki MX device.
Alerting through either email or now webhooks directly into a MS Teams Channel or Webex Space makes problem solving and awareness of issues even easier than it was before, you usually know before the users do that an issue has occurred.

Yes, of course. Well, the thing is that I can configure a whole new branch, a whole new office in an hour without the need to be physically on the site. That's how beneficial Meraki is for our organization.
