I selected DX80 because I use it in a variety of environments at the office, in a home office, in shared workspaces, or in shared quiet rooms. With built-in wireless connectivity, set-up is quick and easy no matter where you work. Cisco Webex DX Series is ideal for everyone who collaborates and that's because I got it.

Other solutions have been tested and are currently being used to allow for diverse use cases and scalability, as well as to give us an opportunity to see how our other alternatives stack up. Webcam-enabled desktop computers are available, as well as regular desk phones with and without cameras. Webcam-equipped corporate computers are also part of our usual operating procedure. To ensure quality while also providing a bit more connectivity, the DX80 serves as a supplementary screen.

still a smaller and personal solution and the only one out there suitable for home office and/or business desk. Other systems require multiple parts/accessories where you have to "build" your system (ie: monitor, camera, speaker/mic, etc.) where the DX80 is an all-in-one system and ready to use out of the box with a subscription.

The Cisco Webex DX80 is a convenient app that can serve as both a video communications system and an additional display. Having the capacity to communicate via Webex is another significant advantage to have. As time goes on, I am invited to participate in more and more Webex meetings, which is a platform for cooperation that is rather effective.

If you're looking for a next-generation set of video endpoints that can manage higher load and have the compute/CPU/memory to handle feature upgrades that match Cisco's newest improvements in order to keep this product line competitive, Cisco Webex Desk Pro is for you.

Both Webex Meetings and Cisco Webex DX80 are a tool for virtual meetings with videoconferencing. However, we like the Cisco Webex DX80 better to keep it fixed in small and medium meeting rooms. It is a piece of equipment that is used by me and everyone in the IT department for online meetings. I recommend the Cisco Webex DX80 and Webex Meetings for individual use for group meetings.

Desk Pros are the next-gen set of video endpoints that are built with the right set of hardware configuration, capable of handling more load, with enough compute/CPU/memory to handle feature upgrades that meet the latest advancements Cisco is making to make this product line competitive—mostly trying to follow the Apple catching up to Samsung mobile phones roadmap.

A huge upgrade from the built-in cameras/microphones/speakers on our laptops for sure. When the network/bandwidth is there to support it, the quality of the conversation is just about indistinguishable from a real-time conversation. Paired with the backend Webex Meetings service platform, it's the most seamless meetings experience on the market.

We are traditionally a Cisco consulting shop and while we played with Zoom Phone we found that we cannot sustain the diversity of the endpoint devices especially for executives, VPs, and some senior managers and we didn't want to compromise on voice/video qualities and preferred an end to end consistent compatible video conferencing system outside of the PC or multi-vendor devices.

Cisco Webex DX80 can be registered in the Webex cloud and can be used as a personal device. For each Webex Meeting that you host or you have been invited to, you can join with one button or by Webex Teams (future release). You can share your screen on it without cable with Webex Teams.

We use the complete Cisco Webex portfolio of products to complement each other to ensure a very productive and efficient collaborative offering. All systems work very well together and in tandem with the Cisco infrastructure that we have within our company including telecommunications. The integration with email platforms as well to allow for the synchronization of calendars and other information is a great asset to team members.

  • Zoom
Cisco Webex DX80 is better if:
1. You use video conferencing a lot
2. A dedicated hardware is required or needed
3. More reliable and secure

I would not recommend it for users who only casually use video conferencing. Zoom excels in this, given that it's cheap (and free if you only use it a few, short times). It's also not as expensive compared to a Cisco DX80, as with Zoom, you only need an HD webcam and headset.

Because we already decided on Webex, this was like a no brainer move. Once we got our hands on a unit and tested it out we were sold. They don't really have a competitor in the market when it comes to a desktop enabled conference device. So this unit stands alone and does a fantastic job in doing so.

We have tried and still use some other solutions to help allow for different use cases and scalability as well as to experience what some of our other options are. We have standard monitors with Webcams, standard desk phones with and without cameras. We also use standard-issue company laptops with webcams built-in. The DX80 allows us to have an assured level of quality and a little extra connectivity with it acting as a secondary screen.
