The Cisco Webex Room Series is a video conferencing solution that wakes up when users walk into a meeting room where it is installed and provides theater-quality voice and video, as well as content sharing from personal devices. For small to medium rooms with 6-8 people, there's Webex Room 55, and for larger rooms of 7-14 people there's Webex Room Kit (camera and codec in one device) and Webex Kit Plus (separate codec plus and quad camera). Any of these systems can be run in the cloud or on-premises.
Welcome to the era of hybrid work
Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why
In the company, we have remote offices and the meeting rooms have the room kit to have collaborative work between departments and foreign branches. Its performance is good, the audio quality connects via HDMI to a screen and its connection to the network can be wired or wireless. A big disadvantage is that the cost is very high compared to other products that can do similar things like Polycom.
- The audio is of great quality.
- Has smart microphone arrays.
- Very simple to operate and has all the benefits of Cisco Webex.
- Does not work with other platforms like Zoom or Microsoft team
- It is very expensive compared to other similar products on the market like Polycom.
- Needs cisco webex licensing which makes it even more expensive to have this equipment in small offices.
Totally appropriate in offices or meeting rooms where there are directors and perfect audio and image are needed, obviously good bandwidth and network quality are also required. I do not recommend it in schools or small offices since there are teams that for a third of its cost do very interesting things and with a very good performance. I think that if it were more accessible in terms of cost and licensing, we could find one of these in any meeting room.
Cisco has always stood out for the excellent support and documentation on its products, this is one of the reasons why they are so well positioned. The means by which you can create a case and the response times are very good. I especially like the support through the Webex teams.
In particular, I would like to be able to have more compatibility on different platforms, nowadays many companies use applications like Microsoft Teams, and Room Kit is only compatible with Cisco Webex. In terms of function and performance, it has excellent quality. The calls between Room Kits and Webex app are very good and the tools that the webex suite has as well as its rooms are of great performance.
The Cisco Webex Room Series is reliable, constantly improving with new capabilities as they are needed, and equipped with cutting-edge hardware. Webex is routinely utilized for all meetings. As it's the only product where everyone may sign up without any hassle. If you compare Webex Kit to similar goods on the market, you'll see that it has everything you need in one box, whereas others require you to purchase separate cables for the speaker and microphone.
- The end-user can be taken over via a request-and-grant protocol.
- Superior video/audio/microphone quality.
- Having private quarters for each team member projects an image of efficiency and organization.
- A third-party application is required for operation of the gadget.
- The ability to follow a speaker's voice should be standard even in the most basic of systems.
- The USB connection should only be used for the camera.
Large boardrooms and conference halls can benefit from the Cisco Webex Room Series. It could be overkill for huddle rooms, but the board, mini, and USB devices in the Room series can meet those requirements. However, where it really excels is in interoperability, as both Zoom and Microsoft Teams are more closed and designed to lock in customers for one particular provider.
Overall, the assistance is adequate, but it may use some fine-tuning to stay up with the rest of the meeting technology. There are more complex needs now, thus it's not enough to have simple codec support. Cooperation between different systems is crucial.
Assuming the client has received sufficient orientation, the Webex Room Navigator's usability is comparable to that of other products. Hybrid Calendar's restriction of 5 minutes OBTP before the meeting frequently comes up, and there are many ways in which this process may be simplified. However, I would rank it on par with or above the competition.
We implement the Room series for a couple of reasons. First of all the actual hardware is second to none as far as audio and video quality. Secondly, Cisco does the best job of interoperability with the other meeting platforms.
- Audio Quality
- Video Quality
- Interop with Zoom and MS Teams
- Allow for a configurable meeting timer in Hybrid Calendar instead of defaulting to 5 minutes
- Lower the cost to compete with Teams and Zoom Room devices
- Perhaps come up with an upgrade for Speakertrack to address really large rooms
It is well suited for large conference rooms and board rooms. It is probably overkilled for huddle rooms however the smaller Room series devices like the board, mini, and USB can address those needs. Where it shines though is the interop as Zoom and MS Teams are more proprietary and aim at vendor lock-in.
The support is good overall, however, with the rapid evolution of the other meeting technologies, there is room for improvement to keep up with the pace. There are more advanced requirements now so you have to be able to get support for more than just the basic codec functions. Interop is a big key.
The usability with the Webex Room Navigator works as well as any as long as the customer gets some adequate onboard training. It could be easier and the Hybrid Calendar limitation of 5 minutes OBTP prior to the meeting is something that comes up a lot. But I would rate it as good or better than the other vendors.
For every meeting, Webex is used. As it's the only product that anyone can easily join. Other products have multiple cables for Speaker and Mic, whereas Webex Kit comes all in one box. Easy to configure. Easy to mount. Can be traveled anywhere required. connects over Wi-Fi. good quality Camera. Best sound. slim design. captures even a silent word. Best mic.
- Easy and portable device.
- Can share Contains OR Screen
- Good Quality Camera / Sound / Mic.
- Only the Camera should be connected via USB.
- The device can be used with external Application.
- Speaker tracking should be available with a basic model.
Suites well - Easy to configure, good camera quality, best speaker system inbuilt, Clear Mic. Best used in travel. Easy to carry. Less Appropriate - Only the Camera should be connected via USB. The device can be used with external ApplicationSpeaker tracking should be available with a basic model. Works only when LIC is available.
For Cisco Webex Room Series I have rated 9 out of 10 considering all the aspects and parameters and overall features I have used to date.
I have rated Cisco Webex Room Series's overall usability 9 out of 10 considering the overall performance of the product.
Our Cisco Webex Room Series devices (fka MX Series) are used in our conference rooms and Executive offices for collaboration via Cisco Meeting Server (voice & video bridge) and via Microsoft Teams meetings via CVI (Cloud Video Interop) where users can dial into a scheduled MS Teams meeting. There are various sizes for every room size from desktop units (DX Series or now Desk series) to the larger Room Series. We currently don't have any problems or limitations at this time.
- Joining a Microsoft Teams meeting
- Joining a Google Meet meeting
- Joining a Webex meeting
- Manufacture them to be lighter in weight
They are well suited in conference/meeting rooms, easy to use with the tabletop touch panel, and to share content via HDMI inputs. Our users are very comfortable with them and prefer them over other manufacturers (ie: MS Teams systems) due to fewer points of failure and not many components involved from the table to the video system.
With our Cisco service contract, NBD replacement and 24/7/365 support are included. We have not had any issues with trying to get a replacement for defective parts or for support (ie: software or troubleshooting). Very satisfied with the level of support available.
Our users are satisfied with these systems as we've used Cisco for years and with the added feature of CVI subscription from Cisco, we're able to join an MS Teams meeting seamlessly from our video endpoints. We can still use CMS if needed or join a Google Meet call as well.
Cisco Webex Room Series provides an isolated, professional and safe environment for communication between the customer and the engineering team at our company. This tool is used for any urgent and non-urgent type of scenarios where mostly, the customer is required to share information from his/her computer screen and receives immediate assistance from the engineer on board taking control of the end-user, this of course after the customer grants permission. Also used for internal meetings where we study cases and share sensitive or private company information, this tool is our day-to-day bridge on communication.
- Sharing live screen on great resolution.
- Request and grant method for taking control of end user.
- Individual rooms for each team member provide a sense of professionalism.
- Continuous developer maintenance on bugs.
- Faster transfer speed is always better.
- Multiple window streaming enabling.
For any customer support or assistance, Cisco Webex Room Series is hands down the best tool to use. If a customer needs assistance on configuration for a new device, the way to go is CWRS. Anyhow for social meetings or anything not work-related it would not be the first choice, even though it is a pretty capable software for this kind of situation, simpler or popular software are preferred.
This is a day-to-day tool and has not failed since the day it was configured for my user. The configuration required some help from the support team for phone services enabling and was quickly solved in an efficient way by CWRS support. There has been no further issue since then.
This perfect rating is due to its simplicity and efficiency. It has never presented an issue and it's valued as a basic tool for proper customer communication.
- Great cameras
- Great mic and speakers
- Easy to use
- Back end setup
I really like the WebEx products but cost is the hardest part to get past clients when going against Zoom and Teams.
Lots of great info on the boards and then if you need to call into support.
Once all the back end integration is setup it is super easy to use.
For almost a year, I've been utilizing Cisco Webex Room Series. It helps us to connect with our clients as well as with our colleagues. Cisco Webex Room Series has everything you'll need to succeed at audio-video conferencing in one convenient package. These fully integrated systems for small and medium rooms combine stunning design with extremely strong capabilities to provide an all-in-one solution.
- Elegant design
- High-quality display
- Broad range of products
- Worth the money
- Let me tell you, it looks easy to operate but it's not
- Not user friendly at all
- I always faced problems while integrating other Webex functionalities
- Not an affordable solution for small-scale business
To be honest, after using Cisco Webex Room Kit Plus, it changed my attitude toward video conferencing. The units are not very cost effective; however, they've helped us streamline our conference room layouts. And I think using it on a daily basis makes it easier to communicate rather than a normal audio conference.
I never needed any support help but I'm sure of Cisco help desk; they always satisfy their customers.
It is quite hard to use, but after getting used to it, it saves a lot of time and effort. It helps me to communicate with my clients in a better manner. Overall it is quite expensive, but I'd say it's worth it.
We are currently in the middle of a global AV upgrade and we selected the Cisco Room Kit Pro's for our training rooms with a Quad Cam for the audience camera and a P60 for the presenter camera. When we enabled Speaker track on the Quad Camera and Presenter Track on the P60, it really showed us the power of the Cisco Room Kits Pros. Now we can run hybrid events with ease. The initial setup of the Cisco Room Kit Pro and cloud registering could not be easier, I highly recommend a Cisco Room Kit Pro for large Training rooms in your business
- Speaker Track is amazing
- Presenter Track is easy to use
- The video quality is top of its class
- The additional Cisco ceiling microphone that you can order with it are not the best, I would look for an alternative
For Hybrid events in a large training room, you can't t ask for a better system, speaker track and presenter track are great features along with the built-in noise cancellation for the microphones.
Haven't had any issues with the hardware or software in the last 6 years
The Touch 10 interface couldn't be any easier for an end-user to navigate and use.
we use it for business meetings, project follow-ups, our scope is to make the most of your collaboration capabilities
- quality of video
- integracion con webex app
- could improve the translation
- improve the AI
depends on the use, meeting rooms, personal desks, open areas...
the support is fast, and good attention
for all the features, functionalities
we have managers with Cisco Webex room kit mini, it fits their offices and helps them to have all sorts of meetings possibilities, Webex, MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. the solution before was multivendor and didn't give a rich experience to the users. the calendar integration is a key point to have all the possible options the Webex room can offer.
- one button to push to join the meeting
- showing the upcoming meetings
- easy to join any type of meetings
- voice commands to join the sceduled meetings
- enhance the microphone
depend on the environment; it can be registered to on-perm or cloud. the cloud option is the best option to get, however, there is an alternative to that via enabling Webex edge solution. trying the cloud registration and all its features make the Webex room is very rich in features. on-prem is fine and good however it is a lower experience than the cloud registered.
the software update is monthly with pushed automatically to the Webex room series which fix any bugs
the interoperability to join any type of meeting. the possibility to use it as a share screen and to view all the upcoming meetings is making it more than a video call device.
We use Cisco Webex Room [Series] for all technical issues which need immediate attention. [Cisco] Webex [Room Series] is a universal product used by all customers and companies that we support hence it is a common platform to carry out seamless communication. We once faced a voice-breaking issue in the product where we raised a Cisco TAC case to address the problem the issue was resolved in a day, but it was business-impacting as it was our by default product to be used when there were operations issues.
- [The] voice quality is good.
- It works on all vendor devices, like Apple, [and] no external installations are required.
- It is easy to download and use on the go.
- Even if the program is not installed, [you] can use it from the browser.
- [I would like the ability] to mute manually using [a] mouse. The mute button on the headphone does not mute the Webex meeting. The mute/unmute option can be made more user-friendly.
Cisco Webex [Room Series] is best suited as it is widely used, so everyone knows how to use it [and] it is user-friendly in functionality. It can be used in-app and also from [a] browser. The voice and sound quality [are] really good. There is a beep sound whenever a person joins the meeting so it somehow gives a notification. The noise cancellation is good.
We once faced [an] issue, [but] it was immediately addressed.
The interface is very user-friendly with no distractions or difficulties faced for normal operations.
Our company is using video-conferencing equipment from Cisco to have meetings internally and externally. It's very important for us to appear in a professional manner, which superior hardware from Cisco helps us with. We have implemented Cisco conferencing hardware in almost all of our meeting rooms across many cities and countries, and are also reselling to our customers.
- Video quality
- Easy to install and use
- Huge range of options to deliver expanded use with macros, control systems, and so on.
- Built-in BYOC compability.
You'll find a Room Series for pretty much any space - being a smaller space, you can use a Room Kit Mini - medium space a Room Kit - large space Room Kit Plus - and even auditoriums can be covered with a Room Kit Pro. There's a Room series for all kinds of spaces, and they all have the same user-friendly experience.
Cisco [has] an excellent support program, reachable 24/7.
Excellent, easy-to-use hardware. Lacking only native BYOC functionality for their larger systems.
Cisco WebEx Roomkit Plus has been deployed at multiple locations for different customers. It's one of the widely used videos conferencing platforms and customers always give positive feedback based on the feature set and rich user experience. There are multiple options available in the WebEx room series for customers to explore.
- Rich audio and video experience
- Touch 10 Controller
- Powerful speaker
- Auto tracking feature can be improved
Cisco offers customers varied options in the Cisco WebEx series. It has got different flavors of equipment suited for large meeting rooms and also for medium meeting rooms. Room OS is a very good addition to the WebEx room series. Room kit plus comes with an integrated codec which is codec plus and quad camera.
As a system integrator, we have deployed it across 100+ locations in India and we have used the same to a great extent. Performance is really good and installation is very simple. The quality of the hardware is excellent. Cisco also provides stand mount variants with 55 and 70 variants. Overall end user gets a very rich and enhancing experience with this equipment.
Speaking of usability its one-touch controller acts as a centralized controller. As I mentioned earlier, a meeting host can control the equipment by sitting in any corner of the room and at the same time can mute /unmute participants. Room OS is another great addition to the setup and its GUI is user-friendly.
I have used [Cisco] WebEx Room [Series] Kit (formerly known as spark room kit) 70 G2 Dual a lot and also being a presales engineer recommend and get the room kit 70 G2 Single and Dual implemented a lot.
- 1080p and 2160p video support
- HD Camera with high sensitivity
- Built-in speakers, screen, camera, touch interface for white boarding, etc.
- Webex Assistant support built-in
- Better wireless connectivity with laptops
- Better accent support by Webex Assistant
[Cisco] Webex Room [Series] kit 70 G2 Dual is unmatched in the market although the 70 G2 Single has competitive products from Microsoft. The [Cisco] Webex Room [Series] kit is well suited for attending meetings, zero-touch joining to meetings using Webex Assistant, high sensitive cameras that focus on [the] speaker during a meeting, attendance count, great touch support for whiteboarding, and wonderful active noise cancellation supported speakers and mics.
Cisco TAC support for any Cisco product is unmatched and functionality and feature-wise the [Cisco] Webex [Room Series]/Spark kit 70 G2 Dual is unmatched.
It is great for hosting any kind of meeting with one-touch using Webex Assistant, [an] amazing HD Camera with hypersensitivity, and mics with active noise cancellation provide a real-world face-to-face meeting experience.
[Cisco] Webex Room [Series is] used for hybrid meetings and classes on a daily basis. Introduced just before Covid-19 lockdowns, [Cisco] Webex [Room Series] became the main collaboration tool in our organisation. Based on the success we had with remote work and hybrid meetings using [the] room kit mini, we proceeded in installing just over 60 hybrid classrooms which enabled classes to continue without hindrance.
- Easy to join a meeting with one-touch
- Sound clarity
- Versatile for many use cases
- More integration with other collaboration platforms
- Better in-app content sharing, which displays on a PC, but not on a roomkit display
[Cisco] Webex [Room Series] kits are very easy to install and manage. It is also very flexible in branding if the device is set up in an area where many people can see and you have messages to share. We have our devices branded with a one-pager how-to tutorial, which helps colleagues to easily join or start meetings. I also love the fact that connected accessories like mics are not only robust but also very easy to replace.
I have not required technical support a lot from [Cisco] Webex [Room Series] as [the] most common issues are resolved locally, but our Cisco rep is brilliant in recommending the most suitable products for needs.
As mentioned in questions earlier in the review, [Cisco] Webex Room Series is super easy to use with lots of features. The support for other collaboration platforms is also a very big plus.
Our company uses the [Cisco Webex] Room [Series] Kit devices to conduct meetings with federal regulators and our home office in Japan. It is also heavily used by our Latin and South American users. It allows us to collaborate and share content seamlessly with the single press of a button.
- Share content
- Excellent audio and video quality
- Simple to use
- Better wireless sharing quality
These devices work well in almost all conference room scenarios. The Mini in small huddles, the Room Kit in small rooms, The Room Kit Plus in medium to large rooms, and the Pro in large and training spaces. The only instance where the devices seem to lack is if you are using them in a divisible space. [Then,] you may need to incorporate a third-party control system as well.
Support is good as long as you don't let your smartnet service agreements lapse.
Extremely simple UI that can be reduced to a single press of a join button when completely integrated.
The [Cisco] Webex Room [Series] devices are the perfect device for us to bring video conferencing, wireless screen share, and room booking to each of our conference rooms. It was very simple to deploy (within minutes) and gets managed by CallManager or, now, automatically by the [Cisco] Webex Cloud. It's also great that these devices are easy to customize (background, logos, applications) if we want to add more features.
- Top quality video conferencing
- Outstanding product quality
- Easy to build-up
- Easy to manage
- USB mode for 3rd party conferencing application
- Better cam privacy option / build-in shutter
- Network microphones / dante
The system is well suited for all kind of conference rooms no matter the size.
It's hard to give a support rating because we do not have many support topics, which is nice.
This product is, [in] my [opinion], 100% made for intuitive use. The iPad-like design of the control unit (Touch10/RoomNavigator) makes it very easy to get the meeting started.
Cisco Webex Room Series [is] being used across our whole organization. The room systems are fantastic, feature-rich, easy to deploy, and centrally managed.
- Video conferencing
- Digital signal processing
- Room control
- Matrix switching
- Wireless and wired screen sharing
- Centrally managed
- Digital signage
- Lecture theatres
- Meeting rooms
- Training rooms
- Huddle spaces
Cisco Webex Room Series works best with Webex by Cisco and services that support standards-based SIP. In-room presentation and room control [are] unmatched by any other Vendor. Cisco Webex Room Series [is] less appropriate in third-party services that do not support standards-based SIP.
- Cisco Webex Experts Community
- Cisco Account Team
- Cisco TAC
- Cisco global availability
Cisco Webex Room Series [is] aesthetically beautiful and a trusted professional brand. The usability with the Webex Suite is seamless and easy.
The whole organization [uses it for] meetings.
- Coordinate projects
- USB-C connection to use other meeting software, like Zoom [and Microsoft] Teams
- Co-create also with room kits
- Long-distance camera for larger (than 9m) meeting rooms
Good: [It is] easy to use.
Not Good: [There is] no native USB-C for Zoom, GoToMeeting, or [Microsoft] Teams and MSFT Interop CVI is not good enough.
Not Good: [There is] no native USB-C for Zoom, GoToMeeting, or [Microsoft] Teams and MSFT Interop CVI is not good enough.
[I gave it this rating because it is] easy to use.
One button to push [is the best feature].
We currently have it deployed in two conference rooms in our corporate office. We're looking at adding an additional 3-4 units to our conference room floor. It has addressed collaboration issues across the board. Having a common UI in our conference rooms removes a training issue for multi-platform rooms. Also, the ability to connect to other collaboration platforms using the room device has helped in eliminating that same UI training issue.
- [The] audio is fantastic.
- [The] speaker track works really well.
- [The] wireless sharing [works really well].
- More integrations with other collaboration products (native buttons)
- Speaker track focusing faster on speaking participants
- Booking integrations to on-premise exchange
The [Cisco Webex] Room [Series] kit series work well and scales well from the 3-14 person rooms depending on the version of the room kit. The small conference rooms are where we have deployed the [Cisco Webex] Room [Series] kit. These rooms hold about 7 people and it has worked very well. I feel that the bang for the buck is around the [Cisco Webex] Room [Series] kit.
The Cisco Webex Room [Series] kit provides a quality audio and video solution to your collaboration rooms. It also provides an audio-only endpoint for audio-only conference calls. The Cisco Webex Room [Series] kit also provides integrations into other collaboration hosts making the room kit a one-stop shop for all things collaboration.
The Cisco Webex Room [Series] kit does many things well. I would say the only thing that it lacks is full integration into other meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. While I can make a SIP call to these platforms, it would be fantastic to just have a button to push to join these types of meetings.
The Cisco [Webex] Room [Series] kit is an amazing product for small conference rooms in any organization. This device would support a conference room of 6-8 participants optimally. For an all-in-one solution, it's probably ranked in the top three products of its type for small conference room spaces. I have not had any issues with this device in all the years I have had one in my lab. This product was entirely designed to be a video conferencing machine offering all of its dedicated chipset to that purpose.
- Video conferencing
- Auto framing
- Audio conferencing
- Presentation sharing
- AI meeting start
- Easy join experience across multiple platforms
- No USB bypass for more obscure platform/solution usage
[Best suited for] small conference rooms with 6-8 participants.
It's an absolutely awesome device.
One button to push [is the most usable feature].
[It is] used across the whole organization to connect groups for the environment of care, HR benefits meetings, [and] EMS training/CEC classes.
- [It] easily connects to meetings.
- [The] camera quality is great.
- [The] room audio is AWESOME!
- Ease of connection to other platforms (getting better though)
- Muting parts of the room/individual mics
Well suited for daily huddles.
TAC is very knowledgeable when issues arise.
[It is] very user intuitive when starting a meeting, making a call, [and] camera movement.
As my current company is a Cisco golden partner, so many of our customers are using the Cisco [Webex] Room [Series] kit plus, [and] we are responsible for the installation [process], the implementation process, [and], also, training the end-users [on] how to get the ultimate experience. In our company, we have one of the Cisco [Webex] Room [Series] kits plus in our main meeting room and it's available for [all of the] employees based on [a] predetermined schedule. It makes our board meetings and meetings with our vendors and customers so smooth and efficient.
- Speaker tracking is amazing.
- Sound quality is perfect.
- The ability to integrate with other in-room systems is great.
- It [would] be great if the devices are lighter in weight.
- [I would also appreciate] more support for APIs.
In small rooms, the [Cisco] Webex Room [Series] devices are not the best fit.
Actually, during my experience, I didn't have to call the support for [Cisco] Webex Room Series. They are easy to use with no problems, but, from my experience with Cisco support for other products, they are doing [a] great job.
I gave it 9 out of 10 because it's very easy to use. The one [left off] is for the complexity of integration with other systems.
[Cisco] Webex Room [Series] is used across the organization for regularly meeting internally and with the clients. It reduces travel time and cost.
- Content sharing
- Webex assistant
- Video quality
- Ease of use
- Proximity sharing
- Camera control
Well suited for medium to large size rooms.
[I] have not had any issues with support.
[It is] easy to use.
