Before this we were using the legacy solution wherein the entire group or Team cannot collaborate in real time and share the real time information. WebEx Teams has greatly improved the means of Collaborating with all the office colleagues and also with external people who do not have the WebEx Teams.,With WebEx Teams real time Collaboration anywhere and everywhere and the possibility to collaborate with any devices is really great. The open source bot integration with 'WebEx teams is another great feature from WebEx Teams. The integration of WebEx Teams with Microsoft office is another great feature where in you can edit the documents inside the Teams and people can see the real time modifications. All time document availability inside the Teams space, whiteboarding are another great feature which helps employees convey their message more efficiently.,We haven't used WebEx Teams with UCCX. This would be another great thing if UCCX can be used with WebEx Teams. We need more tight integration between Jabber and Cisco WebEx Team so that we can see the rich presence information.,8,The overall cost of the business has greatly benefited from WebEx Teams as employees did not have to travel a lot and can do a real-time productive meetings using WebEx Teams.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Jabber, Skype for Business (formerly Lync)Cisco Webex Teams ReviewCisco Webex Teams is used in our organization to communicate with each other. Most of the uses are using over mobile phones for effective collaboration and team meetings. It's now easy to share workspace contents with each other and keep up to date with all the latest information within the team or a specific group,Cisco Webex Teams can share the contents effectively. It cal also provide flexibility to join meetings from anywhere. Instant call feature is well suited in circumstances when ever we need an quick conference call. Mobility is also one of the most important feature of this application.,As per current updated features I am not observing any thing where Webex Teams is lacking.,10,It would be a cost-effective solution for any organization where each team members provided with collaboration workspace over any means of communication media and information sharing in a quick and efficient manner.,10,10,Skype,JabberVery Good and Affordable Cloud-Based Collaboration PlatformWe use Webex Teams for chat and collaboration across our entire organization as well as the primary proximity tool for our room systems in our conference rooms. It has greatly enhanced our ability to collaborate and we use both the one-to-one chat functionality as well as Teams Spaces for our different teams and projects. Webex Teams has made it much easier to share documents and materials in projects and not having multiple versions of documents or getting external resources access to our internal systems. The Webex Teams desktop app has also eliminated the need for computers in our conference and meeting rooms to provide the capability of using proximity to control the room systems and the ability to screen share from our laptops.,Cisco Proximity and Room System Control Chat/Instant Messaging Teams Spaces for Team or Project Collaboration,There still seem to be issues with basic statistics and reporting in Control Hub Control Hub limitations require some creative work arounds for some calling and meetings features,9,Webex Teams has allowed us to offer more cost effective meeting and calling options to small customer in our rural market Webex Teams has enhanced our internal collaboration with Teams Spaces and room control through the desktop app,9,8,Microsoft Teams,Windows Server, Cisco Firepower NGIPS (formerly Sourcefire 3D), Webex MeetingsLet's Colaborate on that with Webex Teams! To collaborate on projects and quick chats in our department. I do wish more of our company would adopt it as I believe it is a great tool for collaboration between people and to stop the back and forth emails that get lost and some people don't know how to use reply-all when they need to and the discussion chain gets lost in email. This keeps everything for that project in one spot and the ability to start a quick meeting and/or whiteboard is awesome!,Being able to have it on all of my devices. The ability to answer from any device and have the whole conversation there. It is free for basic use so anyone can join in the conversation. The TAC Connect Bot is awesome! Any bot on there is cool.,There is cross-over and confusion on Webex Meetings and the Webex Team Meetings. This confused our users so we disabled the Webex Team Meetings. Not everyone using it! Trying to get our users to use it to its full potential!,10,If I could get more users to use it on a daily basis I think it would have a bigger impact. I think people are old school around here and they don't like change. The nice thing is the investment was not that much as it was included on the Webex Meetings license we got.,,Webex Meetings, Jabber, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager)Excellent collaborative cloud platform.Webex Teams is being used by the entire company. Multiple spaces and Teams have been assembled for projects and departments for internal and external communication. It is very useful for handling information on each project and its progress status. In addition, it is used on PCs, tablets and cell phones to contact customers, suppliers, and partners very efficiently.,Webex Teams is an excellent application that can be used on computers, tablets and/or cell phones. Since the service is in the cloud, it is always connected. Webex Teams keeps all conversations and documents securely, encrypting end-to-end communications. Webex Teams allows to have a hybrid service with the Communication Manager on-premise, the corporate directory and even has access to the PSTN locally.,It would be ideal that when you raise the personal meeting room from Webex Teams, you can also take remote control of another computer. The integration of Webex Teams with the Communication Manager on-premise is quite complex. It would be ideal to simplify it. If someone joins a Webex meeting from Teams, be able to participate in a board.,10,We had greater communication fluency within the projects. We were able to incorporate external collaborators of the company to the same space and share the information and documentation without inconvenience. However, we cannot use Webex Teams to support, since we cannot take remote control of another computer.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), Cisco Unified Contact Center, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)An Industry Standard Collaboration Tool Built for Efficient Sharing and Engaging CommunicationMy organization uses Webex Teams in many of the more nimble admin areas of the company. Webex Teams is a great collaborative tool that enables teams from across different skillsets and locations to work together in real time. I work with a team that is spread throughout the country and we use Teams in order to share content, ideas, and converse face-to-face every day. We find the Webex platform extremely valuable for working together internally as well as with external clients. While our entire organization does not exclusively use Webex for all business communication, it is utilized throughout most admin areas - especially within the sales and marketing teams. Teams helps solve the difficult issue of large-scale organizations that have many locations and employees throughout the world. Overall, our organization has relied on the proficiency of teams and the nimble collaborative nature of the platform to solve our modern business goals.,Webex enables users to effectively create teams and workspaces for collaborative or project-based use. Sharing files through the platform is incredibly easy to use. It allows users to focus on the content of the meeting rather than the process of locating a file. Webex Teams has a consistent platform across all devices. It enables user to feel comfortable with the platform from every experience.,The UI is far less customizable than other business collaborative tools. New / Unread messages are not as visible as one hopes The re-brand subtly takes aim at Microsoft Teams - which makes two separate products sound much more alike.,9,Collaboration tools such as Webex help eliminate distance barriers across organizations Teams works consistently across all devices and offers a constant platform for all users The search function for the platform is incredibly strong and allows end-users to find archived chats extremely quickly,Webex Meetings, Skype, Skype for Business (formerly Lync), Workplace by Facebook, Microsoft Yammer, Zoom and GoToMeetingIndustry Leader Keeps LeadingCisco Webex Teams is currently being used by my organization as our foundation in conference calling and collaboration. Currently, it solves one of our biggest business issue of connecting remote employees, customers, and clients together. Cisco is used throughout our entire organization and by all departments. It is a centralized tool that you can access anywhere and with any type of client device.,Cisco Webex Teams is an industry standard and holds a majority market share. This puts the product in a position to be well known and familiar and lowers the need for consumer education. Cisco Webex Teams has a great job merging multiple products and centralizing technologies. This is reducing the confusion in the marketplace and the cluttering of tools due to duplication. Seeing Cisco Webex Teams and Spark come together with like tools was a relief in the industry. Cisco product design, feature support, and roadmaps are strong. Cisco continues to develop and take notes from other market leaders and introduce those into this product as requested from the community. The feedback is heard and in time, results in usable features and functionality.,The marketing campaign around the renaming of Spark and merging with Webex was done poorly. Microsoft Teams already exists, it makes no sense to also call this product Teams. Cisco Webex Teams is driven by the voice technology that often leaves some chatting and messaging features by the wayside. Something as simple as Dark Theme or proper contact lists proved to be larges asks that are commonly simple when you have the ability to chat. Cisco Webex Teams support agreements can be convoluted and tricky. The support is very strong but, do not overlook the re-occurring charges, usage charges, flex-plan, caps, limits, overages, etc. Their plans do not intend to rip off the consumer but are often hard to understand and gain a clear picture of expected costs.,8,Cisco Webex Teams has reduced our overall footprint of physical office space by giving us the ability to have a reliable conferencing solution that is dependable, predictable and easy to use. Cisco Webex Teams has allowed us to easily integrate with our hardware already in the office. Having a Cisco/Meraki infrastructure and Cisco Webex Teams enabled conference room, having the technology to overlay on top of it allows for smooth integration. While this technology is great, increasing this capability in our office has increased usage for all things conferencing. This has caused our local and 1-800 phone bill to quickly rise. Employees often use Webex instead of holding inter-office meetings.,Microsoft Teams, Slack, Logitech MeetUp and Polycom Trio,Atlassian Confluence, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Cisco Prime LAN Management SolutionWebEx Teams is the Best Business Collaboration Platform Around.WebEx Teams was purchased to be used as a company-wide collaboration platform. We are still in the beginning of our roll out to users and groups. We currently have around 230 users on WebEx Teams across 6 or so departments. Our goal with WebEx teams is to provide an easier way for our departments to communicate across regions both internally and externally.,WebEx Teams provides an easy to use platform for users to quickly start communicating. The search option is easy to use to find other employees and start a quick one on one chat. Setting up Teams and Spaces is easy and allow the end users to control access. IT does not need to be involved . Starting a group chat is a simple as click a couple of buttons. From there you can easily start a group call and share screens,WebEx Teams need better integration in to Active Directory so that AD groups can be created to automate WebEx Teams and membership. The WebEx Control Hub that is used to manage users and setting for WebEx Teams need to be updated. The UI is a bit clunky and navigation is mediocre at best. WebEx Teams needs to add the ability for admins of the Control Hub to see all teams and spaces and also be moderators of all teams and spaces.,9,WebEx Teams has made a positive improvement on our internal to external communication. Employees can quickly and easily send messages, files or video calls. Users now have an easy to use product that allows faster communication and information at your finger tips.,Skype for Business,300,5,Communication collaboration File Sharing,8,No,Price Product Features Product Usability Product Reputation Vendor Reputation,Implemented in-house Third-party professional services,No,Change management was minimal,User adoption. The quality and ease of use of the tool is far better than the other ones we have tried. I use the tool as a main online tool in my daily work,Easy of use Quality of voice and video Sharing files through the tool is easy,In the early days when learning the tool was a bit confusing, but with the current version that has improved a lot. New unread messages/chats don't automatically appear at the top of your chat.,9,Having one tool for the meetings lowers the total costs Having a working tool lowers the operational costs,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Skype for Business (formerly Lync)Too many offeringsCisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark) is being used by our organization for collaboration. Our entire organization uses it for video meetings as necessary, sending group messages, and sharing files.,The user interface is easy to use Navigation within the program is easy You can hide things from view that you aren't using easily Collaboration is easy for people near and far,The rebranding of all of the products makes it hard to know which one you are talking about The user interface is not customizable,4,I have not realized any real benefit or negative impact from Cisco Webex Teams because we have many tools in our organization that have similar functions.,HipChatGreat collaboration tool for every teamWe've used Webex Teams for 3 years in for collaboration within our department, and we are actually starting the rollout process for all users. Cisco Webex Teams eliminates 75% of internal team emails with faster responses from colleagues. Also, working on our customer site is now more effective with a fast way to bring information to the project manager in the office.,New and fast way to collaborate Highly secure Same UI at every device Integration of Video Systems seamlessly into Meetings application Overall easy to adopt collaboration tool with calling, video conferencing and instant messaging,Threading in messages More detailed security options in the administration panel that are available out of the box,10,Cisco Webex Teams has given us better meeting experiences and fewer unread emails in inboxes.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and Microsoft Teams,Microsoft Office 2016, Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000), VMware ESXiKnow your limits with Webex Teams, and it will treat you wellWe are using Webex Teams to host distributed meetings for staff and to hold distance learning classes at our university. Instructors have begun to teach hybrid classes where part of the student group can connect to the classroom remotely. A small portion of our users are still using other products such as Adobe Connect for specific use cases. However, the majority of our users are starting to use Webex for their meetings when a simple room to room call will not be sufficient.,Shared content is important for remote classes and is transmitted across Webex Teams well at a high resolution. It is easy to quickly make a new space and add the desired users for breakout room use. We often SIP dial into our Teams spaces with room endpoints such as the SX80 and this works well to include remote students into the lesson.,Teams doesn't give the instructor a lot of control of the class space. They can kick a member out of the space but there is currently no way to lock features out. We would like to be able to prevent remote students from sharing their screens or other content without requesting permission first. The Teams software is sometimes difficult to get working for all students. We usually need to spend time in the first class of the semester troubleshooting audio issues or the inability of some students to see the video stream. The usual issues that affect any cloud-based service occur here also. Sometimes a meeting will have low-resolution video or poor audio. These usually seem to be restricted bandwidth situations.,8,Dedicated support was added to answer Webex and other video conferencing tickets. Remote classes became more feasible without requiring students to meet at specific locations. This has increased enrollment in hybrid and distance type classes. Personnel now have a common conference software to hold meetings on that they have become familiar with. Individual departments are becoming less fractured.,8,9,Webex Meetings, Adobe Connect and Slack,Meeting Application, Cisco Webex Room Series (formerly Cisco Spark Room Series), Webex MeetingsHigher Ed ScenarioIt's currently configured on a single user basis around the campus. Webex integration.,E911 location information for Hybrid Services. Emergency Notifications for campus emergencies (similar to SingleWire InformaCast). Native integration with other 3rd party Clients such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.,10,Provides a remote deployment option is a positive. Negative in the sense that anyone can just sign up on our campus. We originally used Teams when it was branded as Cisco Spark. We have soft-launched this product to our 50,000+ students and staff/faculty and will be doing a full launch this fall. This allows for Presence and IM which are the best parts. In addition, Teams integrates tightly with Webex Meetings, allowing recording and joining your Meetings Personal Meeting Room natively from Teams. Likewise, it works very well with video calling for office meetings and also has additional capabilities to utilize SIP calling, allowing Teams to work in our traditional videoconference environment.,IM Presence Video Calling,Recording,10,Teams has increased productivity. Teams has increased collaboration. Teams has increased morale via more communication.,Jabber,Microsoft Office 2016, Microsoft Office 365A great collaboration tool for teamsWe have been using Cisco Webex Teams within our Support Team since it was originally Project Squared, right through the Cisco Spark days, and up until now. We use it to collaborate and share information to help each other to troubleshoot and discuss end-user issues with equipment and services we support. We have increased the scope of this to also communicate with some of our external suppliers to easily request and receive quotations for work or equipment. This allows us to be much more responsive and get information back and forth between people or companies very quickly and easily, from any device we may be carrying at the time (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc).,Easy access from any type of device. Contains all communications over time - can scroll back, or search easily to find information. Quick and secure messaging.,Formatting of text has been a little lacking, however is slowly improving. Threading of responses, as not all conversations are linear in timing.,9,We are currently using the "Free" version of Cisco Webex Teams, so there has been no negative impact. One negative of the "Free" version is there is limited control, but this can be resolved using the "Premium" version.,SkypeCisco Webex Teams, the best collaborative cloud platform.Cisco Webex Teams is being used by the entire company, from the president to the receptionist. The company decided to have Cisco Webex Teams as a collaboration tool so that all the collaborators are connected and so that everyone isn't using different tools. It allows us to communicate, share information or receive a call.,Sharing content is very simple and fast. Generating a virtual meeting with multiple participants in your workspace is great. For a new participant in a space, being able to access all of the interaction histories along with the documentation that has been shared is very important so you do not have to rewrite or share content.,I would like to have voice assistants, such as Siri or Google, integrated to access a Webex Teams contact and send a dictated message or make a video call for me. If I want to contact only one contact by audio, I would like this to be a simple call, not an audio meeting. If I participate in a meeting in Webex Teams, I would like it to have all the functionalities we have with Webex Meetings.,10,With Cisco Webex Teams, all employees are connected through the same application. In this way, contacting someone is very agile. Cisco Webex Teams can be used in the same way on several devices at the same time, with the same user. It is all synchronized, so you never stop having the information you need to work. Being able to use a whiteboard with colleagues at a distance to share an idea is very important for the development of our work.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000), Microsoft Office 365Huge fan of Webex Teams!Teams is used by the entire organization so that we can communicate more effectively. We use it for quick communications between 2 people, groups, as well as the entire company. We have created certain spaces that are for specific communications. For example, one space is specifically for Mac users and another for PC users created by the IT team. Each team and office has its own space.,Video calls with screen sharing capability. Document sharing functionality. Overall general communication platform for company-wide use.,It would be great if there was a way to pin your spaces to your dashboard so you can easily access them. Better search functionality to find past conversations. Integration with Webex Conferencing.,10,Improved team communication. Better virtual communication and connectivity between different offices. In budget.,Slack and Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator CCReview of Cisco Webex TeamsWebex Teams is used for the moment mainly in my department and is getting rolled out to more and more departments. Besides the standard Webex Teams client, we are using also hybrid services like Calendar Connector, Hybrid Messaging for interoperability with Cisco Jabber and Video Mesh nodes inside our data center to optimize the bandwidth usage. It really helps to make the communication more persistent and flexible compared to other solution. We use it mainly for managing incidents or projects with externals to streamline communication and meetings.,Working with any device. Flexibility for Bot Integration. Security with End to End encryption and the possibility for own key management servers. Data privacy.,Automatic Client updates via cloud make the software management more complex. Some important features like Threading are not implemented yet. Fewer bots are available than for Slack.,9,Positive: Licenses included in the existing Webex subscription. Negative: implementation of the additional hybrid services. Positive: external workforce can be included in internal discussion much easier and faster through free subscription plans.,Slack,Jabber, Webex MeetingsShort review from a Webex Teams user.Webex Teams is being used for communication with Cisco and our Cisco partner. Also we use it to keep in touch during and after Cisco Live events. It has not been deployed to our end users, however usage has increased within our company organically.,Easy to connect with other users (Provided their Email address is known.) Easy to setup group chats. Easy to share content and collaborate.,SufferS from occasional hiccups, but I am unsure if it's due to the end device or the service itself. Product has been rebranded for some reason. Doesn't help the endusers.,7,Makes it easier to work in virtual rooms so you cab always pickup where you left off, more efficient then E-mail usage. Saves time.Cisco Spark vs. Cisco JabberCisco Spark is currently available to all employees across the whole organization. Although it is not used by every group it serves to connect the entire company through instant messaging. It is also connected with Outlook and other products so that it is easy to connect with other individuals. Sometimes, you just need a quick way to connect with someone in a less formal way than an e-mail. Cisco Spark is a solution to that need.,The interface is sleek and modern looking. Great looking icons and typography. It's connected to Microsoft Outlook, so from an email you can opt to message an individual. Or it's connected to your Cisco Phone so when there's an incoming call, you can actually answer on Cisco Spark on your computer. There are groups or "spaces" you can create for your teams or friends.,There aren't options when it comes to customizing the interface. I wish I could adjust the font or I wish there were options to make the entire window more compact. With the profile picture and the large font, the whole interface seems bulky. It can be confusing to use. When I message an individual, it creates a space. Is everything a space even if it's between just you and another individual? Cisco Jabber had this option of minimizing the window to a small tab that attached to the top end of your monitor. It was a neat feature and I wish Spark has this as well.,5,Because it hasn't been the most user-friendly product, not everyone in the company has switched over from Jabber. Thus, there is a disconnect in who is using this product although it's available to everyone. It's great to have it in a team and to quickly send an update or question to a group without overflowing their Outlook inbox.,Jabber,TValue, Adobe Acrobat DC

It allows me and the team to communicate with ease to external customers and suppliers in a way that is simple to understand and allows me to use whatever device I want to see the same content and capabilities.

It fixes multiple needs for meeting and collaboration across and between enterprises without the need for further inter-operation steps and connectivity between them. Making the meeting and sharing process simple.
  • Easy for files sharing.
  • Great meeting experience.
  • Multi devices platform - same experience whatever I use it on.
  • Better presence notification.
  • Integration to CUCM.
  • Better integration into MS office to allow me to share directly from a document to a space or team.
It's great for sending files to other organizations where the email would block and FTP servers are just so 1990's

It's a great and easy way to enhance meeting with video and collaboration at the touch of a button even across different enterprise segments.

It needs better integration with MS office for sharing directly from an application, this will allow quicker take-up and adoption.

Cisco WebEx Teams is being used by our whole Organization. Before this we were using the legacy solution wherein the entire group or Team cannot collaborate in real time and share the real time information. WebEx Teams has greatly improved the means of Collaborating with all the office colleagues and also with external people who do not have the WebEx Teams.
  • With WebEx Teams real time Collaboration anywhere and everywhere and the possibility to collaborate with any devices is really great.
  • The open source bot integration with 'WebEx teams is another great feature from WebEx Teams.
  • The integration of WebEx Teams with Microsoft office is another great feature where in you can edit the documents inside the Teams and people can see the real time modifications.
  • All time document availability inside the Teams space, whiteboarding are another great feature which helps employees convey their message more efficiently.
  • We haven't used WebEx Teams with UCCX. This would be another great thing if UCCX can be used with WebEx Teams.
  • We need more tight integration between Jabber and Cisco WebEx Team so that we can see the rich presence information.
Cisco WebEx Teams is well suited for all types of Organizations that are OK to deploy the collaboration services in the cloud and spend less. It is less appropriate to deploy the WebEx Teams where a Customer has Video only deployment using Expressways. But on the other side, it might be helpful to integrate WebEx Teams with another collaboration product that the customer is using to decrease the TCO.

Cisco Webex Teams is used in our organization to communicate with each other. Most of the uses are using over mobile phones for effective collaboration and team meetings. It's now easy to share workspace contents with each other and keep up to date with all the latest information within the team or a specific group
  • Cisco Webex Teams can share the contents effectively.
  • It cal also provide flexibility to join meetings from anywhere.
  • Instant call feature is well suited in circumstances when ever we need an quick conference call.
  • Mobility is also one of the most important feature of this application.
  • As per current updated features I am not observing any thing where Webex Teams is lacking.
Cisco Webex Teams will be appropriate in scenarios where we need effective communication within limited time and in most of the case users are geographically dispersed. It is also very useful when we need to share contents to a large audience with handheld devices which makes sharing very easy and flexible.

Cisco Webex Teams will be less useful if teams or users are meeting face to face and using other methods of content sharing such as print outs and so on.

We use Webex Teams for chat and collaboration across our entire organization as well as the primary proximity tool for our room systems in our conference rooms. It has greatly enhanced our ability to collaborate and we use both the one-to-one chat functionality as well as Teams Spaces for our different teams and projects. Webex Teams has made it much easier to share documents and materials in projects and not having multiple versions of documents or getting external resources access to our internal systems. The Webex Teams desktop app has also eliminated the need for computers in our conference and meeting rooms to provide the capability of using proximity to control the room systems and the ability to screen share from our laptops.
  • Cisco Proximity and Room System Control
  • Chat/Instant Messaging
  • Teams Spaces for Team or Project Collaboration
  • There still seem to be issues with basic statistics and reporting in Control Hub
  • Control Hub limitations require some creative work arounds for some calling and meetings features
Webex Teams is good for organizations with a large mobile workforce that needs to be able to collaborate easily and quickly. It is also well suited for small organizations looking for a cloud-based solution to keep telephony and collaboration costs down.

I do wish more of our company would adopt it as I believe it is a great tool for collaboration between people and to stop the back and forth emails that get lost and some people don't know how to use reply-all when they need to and the discussion chain gets lost in email. This keeps everything for that project in one spot and the ability to start a quick meeting and/or whiteboard is awesome!
  • Being able to have it on all of my devices.
  • The ability to answer from any device and have the whole conversation there.
  • It is free for basic use so anyone can join in the conversation.
  • The TAC Connect Bot is awesome! Any bot on there is cool.
  • There is cross-over and confusion on Webex Meetings and the Webex Team Meetings. This confused our users so we disabled the Webex Team Meetings.
  • Not everyone using it!
  • Trying to get our users to use it to its full potential!
Being able to send out a quick message to our department about something instead of it getting lost in email.
The ability to see all the files in one place instead of scrolling back through. Also, using it with my family is nice too as they use the free version, so I can still talk to them.

Excellent collaborative cloud platform.

Webex Teams is being used by the entire company. Multiple spaces and Teams have been assembled for projects and departments for internal and external communication. It is very useful for handling information on each project and its progress status. In addition, it is used on PCs, tablets and cell phones to contact customers, suppliers, and partners very efficiently.

  • Webex Teams is an excellent application that can be used on computers, tablets and/or cell phones. Since the service is in the cloud, it is always connected.
  • Webex Teams keeps all conversations and documents securely, encrypting end-to-end communications.
  • Webex Teams allows to have a hybrid service with the Communication Manager on-premise, the corporate directory and even has access to the PSTN locally.
  • It would be ideal that when you raise the personal meeting room from Webex Teams, you can also take remote control of another computer.
  • The integration of Webex Teams with the Communication Manager on-premise is quite complex. It would be ideal to simplify it.
  • If someone joins a Webex meeting from Teams, be able to participate in a board.
Webex Teams is excellent for the management of specific projects, keeps all the history, and you can create different spaces within Teams with different people inside and outside the company. It is also very useful for making announcements from Human Resources, for example. However, it is not appropriate if only one application is required for meetings.

An Industry Standard Collaboration Tool Built for Efficient Sharing and Engaging Communication

My organization uses Webex Teams in many of the more nimble admin areas of the company. Overall, our organization has relied on the proficiency of teams and the nimble collaborative nature of the platform to solve our modern business goals.
  • Webex enables users to effectively create teams and workspaces for collaborative or project-based use.
  • Sharing files through the platform is incredibly easy to use. It allows users to focus on the content of the meeting rather than the process of locating a file.
  • Webex Teams has a consistent platform across all devices. It enables user to feel comfortable with the platform from every experience.
  • The UI is far less customizable than other business collaborative tools.
  • New / Unread messages are not as visible as one hopes
  • The re-brand subtly takes aim at Microsoft Teams - which makes two separate products sound much more alike.
Webex Teams is a fantastic tool for bringing people together. I have very much enjoyed the ability to quickly and effectively create working groups with the goal of sharing content in real time. Teams is extremely effective in providing a platform that emphasizes sharing content and collaboration. My own work group has team members across multiple states and Teams brings us the ability to work together despite that distance. Webex may be slightly less appropriate as a chat tool - as messages are not as intuitive as other competing platforms. However, if you are looking for a single solution, I do not believe this issue should stop one from making the decision to work with Webex.

Industry Leader Keeps Leading

Cisco Webex Teams is currently being used by my organization as our foundation in conference calling and collaboration. Currently, it solves one of our biggest business issue of connecting remote employees, customers, and clients together. Cisco is used throughout our entire organization and by all departments. It is a centralized tool that you can access anywhere and with any type of client device.
  • Cisco Webex Teams is an industry standard and holds a majority market share. This puts the product in a position to be well known and familiar and lowers the need for consumer education.
  • Cisco Webex Teams has a great job merging multiple products and centralizing technologies. This is reducing the confusion in the marketplace and the cluttering of tools due to duplication. Seeing Cisco Webex Teams and Spark come together with like tools was a relief in the industry.
  • Cisco product design, feature support, and roadmaps are strong. Cisco continues to develop and take notes from other market leaders and introduce those into this product as requested from the community. The feedback is heard and in time, results in usable features and functionality.
  • The marketing campaign around the renaming of Spark and merging with Webex was done poorly. Microsoft Teams already exists, it makes no sense to also call this product Teams.
  • Cisco Webex Teams is driven by the voice technology that often leaves some chatting and messaging features by the wayside. Something as simple as Dark Theme or proper contact lists proved to be larges asks that are commonly simple when you have the ability to chat.
  • Cisco Webex Teams support agreements can be convoluted and tricky. The support is very strong but, do not overlook the re-occurring charges, usage charges, flex-plan, caps, limits, overages, etc. Their plans do not intend to rip off the consumer but are often hard to understand and gain a clear picture of expected costs.
Cisco Webex Teams is the leader and best in industry conferencing solution. If you have Cisco hardware, codec's, and conferencing equipment this is a no brainer. It's easy to use, most have used it and it plays well with all devices and mobility aspects. This makes sense given the background of Cisco. One area where this may be less appropriate is if you are looking to also replace your full unified communications suite or inter-office chat as well. While the function is there, it is not as advanced as Microsoft Teams or even Slack. It is easy to tell that that specific area of the technology is not a primary fixture for them.

WebEx Teams is the Best Business Collaboration Platform Around.

Score 9 out of 10

WebEx Teams was purchased to be used as a company-wide collaboration platform. We are still in the beginning of our roll out to users and groups. We currently have around 230 users on WebEx Teams across 6 or so departments. Our goal with WebEx teams is to provide an easier way for our departments to communicate across regions both internally and externally.
  • WebEx Teams provides an easy to use platform for users to quickly start communicating. The search option is easy to use to find other employees and start a quick one on one chat.
  • Setting up Teams and Spaces is easy and allow the end users to control access. IT does not need to be involved .
  • Starting a group chat is a simple as click a couple of buttons. From there you can easily start a group call and share screens
  • WebEx Teams need better integration in to Active Directory so that AD groups can be created to automate WebEx Teams and membership.
  • The WebEx Control Hub that is used to manage users and setting for WebEx Teams need to be updated. The UI is a bit clunky and navigation is mediocre at best.
  • WebEx Teams needs to add the ability for admins of the Control Hub to see all teams and spaces and also be moderators of all teams and spaces.
WebEx Teams is very well suited for any organization that is geographically spread and is looking for better communication. Some features do rely on Cisco Unified Communications Manager so please take this into consideration. User adoption is always the biggest hurdle but with proper planning the roll out could be smooth and users will wonder why they have not been using this forever.

Working tool for online meetings

We have tried quite a few different apps for online meetings and Cisco Webex Teams is the best of these. The quality and ease of use of the tool is far better than the other ones we have tried. I use the tool as a main online tool in my daily work
  • Easy of use
  • Quality of voice and video
  • Sharing files through the tool is easy
  • In the early days when learning the tool was a bit confusing, but with the current version that has improved a lot.
  • New unread messages/chats don't automatically appear at the top of your chat.
I think this tool is suitable for the meetings within and beyond our organization. It is working fine with my laptop as well as with my mobile devices. Through the tool I can share files easily, record my meeting sessions and do everything that is expected from online tools. Plus the new platforms for the Webex Teams make the online meetings even more clever.

Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark) is being used by our organization for collaboration. Our entire organization uses it for video meetings as necessary, sending group messages, and sharing files.
  • The user interface is easy to use
  • Navigation within the program is easy
  • You can hide things from view that you aren't using easily
  • Collaboration is easy for people near and far
  • The rebranding of all of the products makes it hard to know which one you are talking about
  • The user interface is not customizable
There are too many different solutions that are in this same space. I think the main draw of this software is the chat functionality and file sharing so if you need those and want to get some other features as well this might be a good solution.

We've used Webex Teams for 3 years in for collaboration within our department, and we are actually starting the rollout process for all users. Cisco Webex Teams eliminates 75% of internal team emails with faster responses from colleagues. Also, working on our customer site is now more effective with a fast way to bring information to the project manager in the office.
  • New and fast way to collaborate
  • Highly secure
  • Same UI at every device
  • Integration of Video Systems seamlessly into Meetings application
  • Overall easy to adopt collaboration tool with calling, video conferencing and instant messaging
  • Threading in messages
  • More detailed security options in the administration panel that are available out of the box
It is great for working with a distributed team or for faster, better filtered internal communication.

Know your limits with Webex Teams, and it will treat you well

Score 8 out of 10

We are using Webex Teams to host distributed meetings for staff and to hold distance learning classes at our university. Instructors have begun to teach hybrid classes where part of the student group can connect to the classroom remotely. A small portion of our users are still using other products such as Adobe Connect for specific use cases. However, the majority of our users are starting to use Webex for their meetings when a simple room to room call will not be sufficient.
  • Shared content is important for remote classes and is transmitted across Webex Teams well at a high resolution.
  • It is easy to quickly make a new space and add the desired users for breakout room use.
  • We often SIP dial into our Teams spaces with room endpoints such as the SX80 and this works well to include remote students into the lesson.
  • Teams doesn't give the instructor a lot of control of the class space. They can kick a member out of the space but there is currently no way to lock features out. We would like to be able to prevent remote students from sharing their screens or other content without requesting permission first.
  • The Teams software is sometimes difficult to get working for all students. We usually need to spend time in the first class of the semester troubleshooting audio issues or the inability of some students to see the video stream.
  • The usual issues that affect any cloud-based service occur here also. Sometimes a meeting will have low-resolution video or poor audio. These usually seem to be restricted bandwidth situations.
Webex Teams works well for small to medium-sized meetings where the participants are equals in the conversation. All users have equal control over the meeting features and can quickly share content with each other. Since users can mute and unmute themselves it is difficult for a room moderator to keep control over uncooperative members. As a meeting grows in size, it is more likely that you would need to use Webex Meeting or a Webex Event to keep control of the situation.

Higher Ed Scenario

It's currently configured on a single user basis around the campus. Users who have a paid Webex Teams subscription also get hybrid services enabled. For these specific users, they have the ability to dial PSTN calls from the Webex Teams client. The voicemail service also comes from our on-prem Cisco Unity Voicemail server.
  • Calendaring integration.
  • One button to push (regardless of video conference vendor).
  • Threads and conversations.
  • Webex integration.
  • E911 location information for Hybrid Services.
  • Emergency Notifications for campus emergencies (similar to SingleWire InformaCast).
  • Native integration with other 3rd party Clients such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Personally, I think it's going to depend on how the user intends on using it. Webex Teams runs in different modes, even Cisco Jabber can be configured to run in Webex Teams mode. It's definitely well suited for remote locations that exceed the Cisco Jabbers (expressway) round trip delay. It's a perfect setup for softphone requirements. It's less appropriate for those legacy users who demand a physical handset. They still exist folks!

Cisco Webex Teams is used in testing mode between a few users. If the testing ends with a good review, I hope Webex Teams will be used across the whole organization for full use like instant messaging, calling and collaboration on documents. For the next step is using chatbots for internal use to help our employees and next chatbots for external use on internet public sites to help our clients.
  • IM, Calling and Collaboration in one product.
  • IM and calling across organizations without limits.
  • Chat robots.
  • Collaboration on a one document.
  • Whiteboard for all devices with multiple editing.
  • Dual Room system combined with room board, one display for video and second display for whiteboard.
  • Logging for other products like SIEM.
Cisco Webex Teams works! Whiteboard enables editing from more endpoints (SW clients, room boards) without restrictions, enable endless space, ability to write on the background and more.

Simply the BEST collaboration alternative

It's a daily tool to communicate with all employees and a lot of clients and providers. We collaborate by sharing screens, audio, video conferencing. Day after day is improving as fast as the cloud develops itself. The usual improvement speed of cloud services is really taken advantage of.
  • Usability in all platforms
  • Monthly improvements, a lot of new features
  • Easy to add new users, even when they don't have a paid account
  • It demands a good hardware for the heavy clients and/or mobile devices.
  • Not all features are available around the globe because of regulations or carriers limitations
It's easier to describe a scenario where Teams wouldn't be suitable rather than all the scenarios where it is a great tool. Being part of the Cisco UC Solutions, makes it one of the most powerful tools around, if not the most powerful one available. Teams, meetings, and calls are all different faces of the same object.

My office has been using Webex Teams for more than 4 years, but I have only been in the office for 3 years using Teams. Likewise, it works very well with video calling for office meetings and also has additional capabilities to utilize SIP calling, allowing Teams to work in our traditional videoconference environment.

A great collaboration tool for teams

We have been using Cisco Webex Teams within our Support Team since it was originally Project Squared, right through the Cisco Spark days, and up until now. We use it to collaborate and share information to help each other to troubleshoot and discuss end-user issues with equipment and services we support. We have increased the scope of this to also communicate with some of our external suppliers to easily request and receive quotations for work or equipment. This allows us to be much more responsive and get information back and forth between people or companies very quickly and easily, from any device we may be carrying at the time (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc).
  • Easy access from any type of device.
  • Contains all communications over time - can scroll back, or search easily to find information.
  • Quick and secure messaging.
  • Formatting of text has been a little lacking, however is slowly improving.
  • Threading of responses, as not all conversations are linear in timing.
Great for communications and collaboration within small groups. In a larger group, the amount of traffic can get a little unorganised quite quickly. Thankfully, the search tool works very well and, if you know what you are looking for, it is quite easy to find what you are looking for.

Cisco Webex Teams, the best collaborative cloud platform.

Score 10 out of 10

Cisco Webex Teams is being used by the entire company, from the president to the receptionist. The company decided to have Cisco Webex Teams as a collaboration tool so that all the collaborators are connected and so that everyone isn't using different tools. It allows us to communicate, share information or receive a call.
  • Sharing content is very simple and fast.
  • Generating a virtual meeting with multiple participants in your workspace is great.
  • For a new participant in a space, being able to access all of the interaction histories along with the documentation that has been shared is very important so you do not have to rewrite or share content.
  • I would like to have voice assistants, such as Siri or Google, integrated to access a Webex Teams contact and send a dictated message or make a video call for me.
  • If I want to contact only one contact by audio, I would like this to be a simple call, not an audio meeting.
  • If I participate in a meeting in Webex Teams, I would like it to have all the functionalities we have with Webex Meetings.
Cisco Webex Teams is very appropriate as the only collaborative tool in a company. It not only allows you to share content, hold virtual meetings as if they were face-to-face and with a single click, or make audio calls with colleagues from the same company but all of this can also be done with anyone who has a valid email address, whether or not you are a Webex Teams user.

Teams is used by the entire organization so that we can communicate more effectively. We use it for quick communications between 2 people, groups, as well as the entire company. We have created certain spaces that are for specific communications. For example, one space is specifically for Mac users and another for PC users created by the IT team. Each team and office has its own space.
  • Video calls with screen sharing capability.
  • Document sharing functionality.
  • Overall general communication platform for company-wide use.
  • It would be great if there was a way to pin your spaces to your dashboard so you can easily access them.
  • Better search functionality to find past conversations.
  • Integration with Webex Conferencing.
I really enjoy using Teams. It's a great tool for the company and we have received a ton of great feedback from multiple people within the company about how it has helped improve our communication. I use it all of the time for my 1:1 meetings as well as company-wide communications. Plus, it's been really fun for us as a company, we tend to share a lot of GIFs and memes!

Review of Cisco Webex Teams

Webex Teams is used for the moment mainly in my department and is getting rolled out to more and more departments.
We use it mainly for managing incidents or projects with externals to streamline communication and meetings.
  • Working with any device.
  • Flexibility for Bot Integration.
  • Security with End to End encryption and the possibility for own key management servers.
  • Data privacy.
  • Automatic Client updates via cloud make the software management more complex.
  • Some important features like Threading are not implemented yet.
  • Fewer bots are available than for Slack.
Management of Incidents: all participants who work on an incident have access to all information shared in the room. In the handover phase between 2 shifts, the person from the next shift can already read the information provided in the Webex Team spaces which reduce the handover times and people can work more on the problem itself

Webex Teams is being used for communication with Cisco and our Cisco partner. Also we use it to keep in touch during and after Cisco Live events. It has not been deployed to our end users, however usage has increased within our company organically.
  • Easy to connect with other users (Provided their Email address is known.)
  • Easy to setup group chats.
  • Easy to share content and collaborate.
  • SufferS from occasional hiccups, but I am unsure if it's due to the end device or the service itself.
  • Product has been rebranded for some reason. Doesn't help the endusers.
As stated in the introduction, great for ad-hoc meetings with one or more people and a handy collaboration space as wel.

Cisco Spark vs. Cisco Jabber

Cisco Spark is currently available to all employees across the whole organization. Although it is not used by every group it serves to connect the entire company through instant messaging. It is also connected with Outlook and other products so that it is easy to connect with other individuals. Sometimes, you just need a quick way to connect with someone in a less formal way than an e-mail. Cisco Spark is a solution to that need.
  • The interface is sleek and modern looking. Great looking icons and typography.
  • It's connected to Microsoft Outlook, so from an email you can opt to message an individual. Or it's connected to your Cisco Phone so when there's an incoming call, you can actually answer on Cisco Spark on your computer.
  • There are groups or "spaces" you can create for your teams or friends.
  • There aren't options when it comes to customizing the interface. I wish I could adjust the font or I wish there were options to make the entire window more compact. With the profile picture and the large font, the whole interface seems bulky.
  • It can be confusing to use. When I message an individual, it creates a space. Is everything a space even if it's between just you and another individual?
  • Cisco Jabber had this option of minimizing the window to a small tab that attached to the top end of your monitor. It was a neat feature and I wish Spark has this as well.
It is definitely an option for instant messaging within a company. However, I feel like Cisco Jabber was well thought out and had all the options that I needed, and Cisco Spark is not there yet. I wish there would be an update to add all the features that Jabber had at the very least. Cisco Spark is best suited if your company uses other Cisco products, and also Microsoft Outlook.
