In the last 9 years, we never had a single incident with the hardware or the software, even considering it runs 24x7x365. It's really a fortress. But if we consider that the software support has always available providing updated versions with the latest technologies, it deserves the rate we did. It's really an enterprise-class set of hardware and software that works perfectly.

Smartnet keeps costing more and more. Going forward we're going with Meraki rather WLC and AP's. The license and support on Meraki are much cheaper than with traditional Cisco from an ROI and TCO perspective.

As usual, the support from Cisco's TAC (Technical Assistance Center) is lacking. Granted, they always get the job done, but the amount of lead time on a non-emergency is enough to make you just handle it yourself. The good news is that if you ask for Cisco's assistance and forget about it, they'll jump on by the time you've forgotten where you were in troubleshooting it and have it fixed for you.
