Cloudera is the most efficient data structuring platform we have been able to use, and it lets us work with machine learning freely, to the point that we can create our own data models based on linear regressions if we already have an existing database. Cloudera is the best for working with commands when applying data engineering strategies.
  • Cloudera has offered a completely satisfactory user experience to our entire team of developers, who have been able to take the work of structuring data to a higher level thanks to the ease of its data replication and recovery mechanisms in the face of operational problems of different natures. It is precisely this capability that makes Cloudera such a memorable software.
  • We haven't had much reason to contact Cloudera's technical support team, so we can't say for sure that the quality is helpful, but during the purchase process we were able to call one of their sales reps, and he made sure that communication was easy and that we were as informed as possible about the service.
  • By integrating Cloudera to metrics movement services such as K9, it is possible to manage them and transport records to the Cloudera data warehouse. This process is very easy to achieve thanks to the fact that the structures of such data collection processes are very similar in both platforms.
  • Cloudera's data migration allows to create continuous CDH updates when passing the information to an external data center, thus ensuring that the data traffic is secure and maintains the least amount of risk possible.
  • The performance of the platform is very good when it comes to creating data checks to review its capacity status, and to know what improvements could be applied based on our computer to make management as optimal as possible.
  • No negative opinions about our experience through Cloudera, which as a service for data structures and data security, has been duly leveraged to improve the performance and scalability of our information management capabilities.
In the creation of maintenance models Cloudera can excel greatly, because it allows you to create very scalable and applicable processes in different types of technology, either for reporting based purely on data, or to implement its analysis modalities to develop IT projects. In case of requiring detailed review of different phases of IT processes, Cloudera can be useful in security operations that require high expertise in shared data.
  • It can practically reduce all the costs that would be involved in creating a fully reliable data structure from scratch, in case you want to maintain an official and unique corporate identity.
  • The cloud architecture in which Cloudera manages data is good enough to modernize all data security operations by applying specialized artificial intelligence tools for data engineering.
  • Through many APIs, it makes it possible to directly extract data, including data from social networks such as twitter, and then integrate it into data structure services, such as Spark, to create new data streams and other formats.
  • Cloudera has shown a great improvement in our ability to collect information, and those results have been reflected in our profits by being able to handle more data than before.
  • Before the Cloudera acquisition the approximate ROI margin counted by the company was 7, and now it has been able to go up 4 points, leaving it at 11.

We utilize Cloudera Data Platform as our main data warehouse. Implemented as a data lake, our actuaries and business users store and access data from this platform as their primary information repository. It is also a space where actuaries can work with large amounts of data and process that data.
  • Scales
  • Highly available
  • Constantly changing costs
  • Log visibility
I have seen that Cloudera Data Platform is well suited for large batch processes. It works really well for our indication analyses that are performed by the actuaries. I feel that rapid streaming operations may be a situation where additional technology would be needed to provide for a robust solution.
  • Reduced operational costs
  • Speed to market
IBM's offering of the Cloud Pak for Data has been a moving target and difficult to compare to Cloudera Data Platform. We have implemented our solution on Amazon Web Services, which appears to be supported by IBM at this point, but the migration would be very expensive for us to endeavor.
We have utilized Cloudera support quite frequently and are very satisfied with the capability and responsiveness of that team. Often, the new features delivered with the platform give us an opportunity to mature the way we're doing things, and the support team have been valuable in developing those new patterns.
