For application security and for protecting our internet infrastructure. Cloudflare also provides security by protecting our infra from malicious activity like DDoS attacks, malicious bots, and other nefarious intrusions.
  • Protecting from DDos attack
  • DNS service for protecting our data
  • Zero trust network access
  • Email security
  • Browser isolation
  • Common dashboard
  • Integration with other security tools
  • Antivirus integration
  • Edge security
Very well suited for email security, browser isolation, and protection from DDoS attacks. Less appropriate for edge security.
  • Resource saving up to 30%
  • Higher availability of mailing solution by 20-30%
  • Better reliability
  • Cost saving 20%
Cloudflare has more features, is easy to use, and customer support is better.
The onboarding process was very smooth and the partner provided all the required technical documents and support for onboarding.
Very prompt support and a team with good technical skills are handling support.

No
During the initial configuration of the product, we were facing some issues, and their support team provided out-of-way support through phone, emails, and remote options.

They are mostly IT admins who are responsible for IT security, including email security and other aspects of security like browser isolation, etc., at various locations of the company.
5
They are part of our central admin team who takes care of the central security of the organization, and they guide the IT admin of various divisional offices and they are trained on various security modules like email security, malware detection, SQL injection, etc.
  • Email security
  • Browser isolation
  • DDoS attack control
  • Integration with open source tools
  • App control
  • User roles control
  • Asset control

  • Product Usability
Product features, usability, and customer support.
Not much change as the evaluation parameters will be the same as price, usability, scalability, and customer support which were considered in the present evaluation also, but in the future, app integration and browser compatibility with new browsers also may be considered for evaluation.
  • Implemented in-house
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
If handled properly and proper documentation is available, it can be handled easily.
  • Integration with legacy application
  • Compatibility with older browsers
Very well executed implementation where our team was able to handle the implementation with guidance.
  • Stopping DDoS attack
  • Scan of email system for various attacks
  • Context scan in mail
  • Tackling zero day vulnerabilities in browsers
Yes, but I don't use it
Easy-to-use functions and an integrated management window for overall monitoring and taking actions.

We are using CF as the Edge Cloud provider, for web application firewall security, and to accelerate end-user response time globally.
  • SSL management
  • Cache - secure CDN
  • Argo - optimize global network response
  • Looking forward for the finally release of R2 -- like AWS's S3 solution.
  • Pricing: We are using the Business tier. I hope there will be a Business+ tier. Enterprise has a too high price start point.
CF really got the product done right. UI and ease of use to manage to make many tasks so easy and fast to do.
  • Positive: Totally accelerated our cloud services in many countries, including China.
  • Positive: So much easier to manage SSL certs, CDN, DNS, and server-less app deployments.
  • Negative: Too high of the price for Enterprise. I hope there is a one for tech startups.
I think CF is the best in Edge Computing -- for WAF, global optimized network routing, and ease of use to manage SSL, DNS, CDN, etc.
It took us about 2 weeks to move every app into CF for WAF protection, DNS, and CND. Also, it took us about 2 months to learn how the server-less code deployment works on CF. The team has been very impressed with the product (technology and ease of use).
We filed a couple of bugs. One of them helped the CF team to improve the product. But it took about 2 months to implement to get the bug fixed.

I reported an issue with WAP, and it was routed to their senior tech team, and eventually solved in a big way -- they had to make a system change to resolve the issue for all users.
We are very self-sufficient. Their online tools are very helpful. My questions to our account manager typically get answered within a day.

  • Product Reputation
CF has the best product in the industry -- I have been very impressed with it.
I will still go with CF.
  • Implemented in-house
Yes
Phase 1: Global DNS and WAP
Phase 2: Workers -- cloud instances for serving apps
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
Just focus and get it done within a short window of change.
  • initial learning curve (CF's terminology and design)
  • migration and test, then optimize our setup
  • debugging issues with WAP
After 2 months of testing, debugging and optimize, I am very happy with the global performance using Argo.
  • No Training
I have the technology background to learn and implement quickly.
I like that they are improving and adding features incrementally.
Starts with the core functions. Get them right, then expand to use more features.
No - there is no facility to customize the interface

We use Cloudflare to protect and secure our company website. Our tech department primarily leverages it. Cloudflare is easy to use, has a 100% uptime SLA, and has increased the load speed of our website significantly. For more than a year, we were able to use the free tier and get everything we needed!
  • Robust Free Offering: The free tier is enough to get by on small projects, which is great for small startups.
  • Easy to Operate: Even if you don't have a technical department, you can figure out Cloudflare.
  • Site Speed: Implementing Cloudflare significantly increased the speed of our website.
  • The lower level plans don't allow you to use your own SSL certificate.
  • Reports dashboard could be more robust.
  • Some of the features they charge for you can access for free on other servers.
I genuinely think Cloudflare is suited for companies of all sizes, from a solo blogger to large corporations. For robust websites, it can get expensive, so it might be cost-prohibitive for sole proprietors who need many page rules. What website doesn't need extra security and speed?
  • We have been completely protected from DDOS attacks.
Cloudflare support is very responsive. For free plans, they have a robust help center.
