Comodo cWatch is a comprehensive solution that provides our organization with the tools and resources we need to protect our networks and data from cyber threats. Comodo cWatch is a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution that provides continuous monitoring and threat detection to our organization. Since my job involves monitoring the security of our organization's network, we use Comodo cWatch to protect our web platforms from cyber threats such as malware, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and other forms of cyber-attacks as it provides real-time visibility into potential security threats and vulnerabilities and enables us to respond quickly and effectively to security incidents.
  • It provides a web application firewall (WAF) that helps to protect websites and web applications from cyber-attacks. The WAF uses advanced security rules and machine learning algorithms to identify and block malicious traffic.
  • Comodo cWatch helps us to comply with various security regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • Incident response services of Comodo cWatch helps us to quickly respond to security incidents. This includes a team of security experts who are available 24/7 to provide assistance in the event of a security breach.
  • Improving the integration capabilities of Comodo cWatch with other security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection platforms would be an area that needs attention.
  • Improvement needed in the performance and scalability to reduce the risk of downtime or performance issues, especially in high-volume environments.
  • False positives could lead to unnecessary investigations and response efforts, which could be costly and time-consuming.
Comodo cWatch provides managed security services that helps us ensure that the cybersecurity posture remains strong and up to date and makes it well suited for a large organization like ours, that need to ensure that the network is protected against the latest threats. However, Comodo cWatch can be a complex and resource-intensive solution that may not be suitable for organizations with limited resources. Organizations with limited resources may be better served by a simpler, more cost-effective cybersecurity solution.
  • It provides detailed reports and analytics that help us understand the nature and severity of security threats
  • It uses advanced threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to detect and alert us to potential security threats, including malware, phishing, and other cyber-attacks.
  • The platform includes a team of security experts who are available to help us respond to security incidents in real-time, including providing guidance on how to contain and remediate the incident.
  • Comodo cWatch automated many of our manual processes involved in security management, which helped to improve the efficiency of our security team. Resulted in increased productivity and reduced costs, as well as improved security outcomes.
  • Provided real-time threat intelligence, which helped our organization to detect and respond to potential security incidents more quickly and reduced downtime.
  • By using Comodo cWatch, we are able to improve our compliance with security regulations and standards, that reduced the risk of fines, legal liability, improved reputation and reduced legal costs.
The features and functionalities Comodo cWatch provide compared to other MDR solutions, such as the types of threats it can detect, the level of automation it provides, and the types of incident response and remediation services it offers are much appropriate for our needs. The solution can scale to meet the needs of our organization, and it can be customized to meet our specific requirements. By providing a comprehensive security solution that helps us protect sensitive data and customer information, Comodo cWatch helps our organization maintain a positive reputation and build trust with our customers.

Comodo cWatch is well suited for security solution and protection to web servers, websites and web application. It ensures complete security management and early threat detection so that organization can take necessary action on time. It provides real time monitoring to medium size as well as enterprise level organization. Comodo cWatch would not be suitable for Mobile security or small scale business.

Comodo cWatch is security software for websites. One of my websites was repeatedly being flagged for suspicious activity, and we wanted to make sure that it didn't get hacked. cWatch is supposed to continuously scan your site and server for malware.
  • on demand scanning - you can set up a scan whenever you like.
  • The server would never fully connect - I contacted support about this, and they were unable to solve the issue as well.
  • Malware warnings with no solutions - We would often get malware warnings after a scan but no meaningful way to resolve them. No solutions or steps were offered. Later we learned that you have to contact the company and have them do a clean-up, but this is not clear to the first-time user.
If you are well versed with servers and server security and just need a scanning tool but can do malware mitigation yourself, then you'd probably be ok with this. If you are not, there are a lot of steps to even connect your server and get it to scan correctly, and no mitigation steps are made immediately obvious should there be a threat, so it's a lot for an unfamiliar or beginner user.
  • malware scanning on the site itself and the server.
  • cleaning up any malware that was found.
  • cWatch didn't really end up helping with our issue in the end, and it seemed like it was a waste to sign up for a year of it. At the time, there were no money-back guarantees, so we were stuck with it. It was used for scanning but didn't offer much value to us when it came down to it. We ended up canceling after the year was over.
Support is chat only and was not very easy to deal with. I had to spend hours on chat with them just to get my server connected properly. I was getting cookie cutter answers for a while before they were able to get someone more higher up to me. Didn't seem US based either.
Premium support was not an option for purchase that I could see.
No
I would not describe any of my customer service interactions with Comodo cWatch as exceptional in a good way unfortunately. The chat only agents were very frustrating to talk to, my issues took multiple contact to get fixed, and overall was just not a positive experience.

Comodo cWatch is used to protect our web products from being exposed to threats and malwares. cWatch scans, detects and removes malwares proactively preventing cyber attacks from hackers. cWatch is a manageable security solution which monitors and detects threats 24x7x365 days. We use cWatch including Web Application Firewall(WAF) where real time content delivery is supplied over Secure Content Deliver Network(CDN).
  • Detection of Security Information and Event Management(SIEM) threats.
  • Protects from Distributed Denial of Service(DDOS) and from Botnet attacks.
  • Hacked website repairing and removes detected malwares swiftly.
  • Support is quite late, no swift response from the support team.
  • Ad-blocker works intermittently, sometimes doesn't block the ads.
  • cWatch on Linux is not efficient and needs a major update.
Since our products are web based, it is most important that we have a better guard against cyber attacks which might approach in different forms. cWatch helps us in filtering them out and make sure that we don't have downtime. It protects web applications 24x7 and sends us real time data on the detections and preventions.
  • Real time content delivery.
  • Manageable web application firewall.
  • Detection and prevention of threats.
  • Less downtime in web applications which improved overall productivity.
  • Pricing is neat and money-back guarantee ensures trust.
  • Support from support team is bit late, this will impact on our daily productivity.

We are currently using cWatch internally to protect our web products.
  • Blocking malware
  • Monitoring for suspicious traffic and activity
  • How updates are managed
  • Support - timing and back and forth with question/answers
Environments where web security is a necessity. It doesn't matter how big or small your business is, securing all assets is very important.
  • Application uptime is key. Managing risk of downtime saves much more than the cost of this platform.
All are quality products, but each have their downsides. Seems to be similar across the product line, how they manage updating the software. There always seems to be issues after updates.
