CompAnalyst Market Data provides access to what the vendor describes as a large and reliable HR-reported compensation data set. Users can market price hot jobs, industry-specific positions, and even combine jobs to map to specific needs, drastically reducing data gaps. The solution aims to achieve accurate market pricing by beginning with matching the organization's job titles and job descriptions with the appropriate market data, so that with a few clicks the user can match a job to any compensation survey source owned by the user, or to CompAnalyst Market Data.

CompAnalyst can recommend survey cuts for jobs using market data sources in one centralized location, and offers AI-recommended job matches and automated scopes to help users find the right survey cuts. It helps us as we explore new markets to get an understanding of compensation expectations to help our clients know what they should/shouldn't pay to remain competitive in attracting new talent and what we would recommend retaining current talent. We're legal recruiters and salary can range widely depending on the company, years of experience, education level, etc.

If you are trying to assess compensation by understanding what is appropriate with a variety of factors, this tool can be extremely helpful. I've used it for multiple roles to educate potential clients on why their job board postings aren't receiving the attention they think they should, or why the folks applying are much less qualified than what they want.

Our organization uses CompAnalyst across the enterprise. The system houses all of our market composites, salary surveys, internal job information, employee data, and job descriptions. Our HR Partners have access to CompAnalyst to search for and export job descriptions and other compensation data. CompAnalyst has allowed our organization to create a "one stop shop" for compensation management, and the software has reduced the amount of time we spend on survey management while increasing the amount of time we can spend providing strategic direction to the business.
  • CompAnalyst's Job Architect revolutionizes job description management. The job description process lives within the software from conception through completion. Workflows allow job descriptions to be edited and reviewed by users and non-users throughout the organization, and you can search for related tasks and responsibilities within Job Architect.
  • Our Customer Success Manager and Professional Services Consultant are responsive, knowledgeable, and available to address our questions and concerns. Having a dedicated team of compensation experts helps us have the best possible experience.
  • As one of the first compensation management software solutions in the market, CompAnalyst excels in managing survey data and market composites. The system is intuitive and user-friendly, and the development team is always looking for new ways to enhance system functionalities.
  • I would like to see additional customization options in the software's application widgets.

The system can be configured to fit the needs of your organization.

The value proposition for CompAnalyst is greater than other compensation management software alternatives that we have evaluated. No other system offers the same capabilities and functionalities as the CompAnalyst platform. While some competitors offer unique features not found in the tool, CompAnalyst is always evaluating new offerings to enhance the site. Additionally, we have an awesome professional services team that really rounds out the experience.
Our Professional Services Consultant and Customer Success Manager are always available to answer our questions. If I have a compensation-related question, they will find the answer for us. They take our product feedback seriously, and the team has implemented a few of our requested features in the system. Their Vice President of Product Management is always open to receiving feedback, and CompAnalyst is always reaching out to customers to demo and test new product offerings.

  • It can always get data for a position.
  • It is easy to use.
  • LTIP STI information is needed in more detail.
  • It needs more detailed job descriptions for level differentiation.
Well suited as an add on to validate market surveys. I do not use it as my main survey source. Can typically get data when other surveys are lacking. Always a good starting point for a market analysis. System is easy to use and fast.

CompAnalyst gives me bang for my buck. It can get data other surveys may miss. It is easy to use and understand.

Medium size organizations, with mostly standard roles across the company will find plenty of uses for the tool. Some industry-specific roles are not always found.
  • Not able to provide specific ROI, but the ability to intelligently provide market data to C-Suite is sometimes priceless.
Both pro and con - no setup needed for CompAnalyst, but it also doesn't contain all my own comp data; have to build external reporting to be able to connect the two.
