The platform streamlines workflow and expedites the process of delivering accurate information to the field. According to users, Contractor Foreman excels in crucial functions like CMR, estimates, material costing, and invoicing. Moreover, the developers continuously enhance the product by introducing new features and improvements.

One of the key use cases of Contractor Foreman is its ability to schedule projects and keep them organized and on track. Users appreciate the flexibility to create and maintain project-specific notes that technicians can easily reference. Additionally, the software aids in financial tracking for each project by tracking hours bid versus actual hours worked. This feature ensures accurate cost comparisons, helping users manage their finances effectively.

Integration with Quickbooks Online is highly valued among users as it eliminates the need for double-entry work and streamlines accounting processes. Contractor Foreman's cloud-based nature allows for easy access from multiple locations, making it particularly beneficial for managing remote workers and multiple sites. Its user-friendly interface and ease of learning make it accessible to users at all levels of technical expertise.

Contractor Foreman consolidates various construction management needs into one platform, eliminating the need for separate time tracking, CRM, and estimating systems. The software's customizable dashboard provides a comprehensive view of all aspects of the business, allowing users to efficiently manage lead tracking, estimating, subcontractor tracking, document storage, scheduling, and invoicing. Notably, users in commercial HVAC systems construction find Contractor Foreman invaluable due to its essential features for project management.

The job costing features have proven to be a cost-saving tool for users by preventing unaccounted for or mis-applied job materials. In addition, real-time labor cost insights provided by the time tracking features allow users to stay on top of their labor expenses. Contractor Foreman's customizable nature, integration options, and cloud-based functionality make it a one-stop-shop for managing blueprints, email exchanges, and receipts.

Contractor Foreman is what we use to manage solar projects for a LMI project in Baltimore. It helps us organize key tasks and financials for each project to make sure the job gets done and we are on budget.
  • Creating estimates

For a small construction company that has a limited budget, this is a great solution. I am not sure if it is the best solution for a huge portfolio of complex projects.

We use Contractor Foreman to track projects from the lead stage through estimation, job costing, billing and final customer invoicing. It's nice to be able to do all of that within one program (including time card tracking for employees and directory management). Previously we had several different platforms we were using at the same time and this just helps streamline our company information for those who need it.
  • Estimations incorporating with job costing
  • Lead tracking
  • Project Scheduling (Gantt chart view and calendar view)
  • Google Calendar integration
  • Sales activity tracking from multiple areas
  • Being able to create a new lead within a current customer
It's really nice for quick, smaller projects because every step of the process is pretty straight forward and can be done within this program. We haven't used it yet for a larger project so we haven't gotten a chance to check out the change order option or how we could balance allowances within the job costing area.

I am still new to the platform but what I like is the amount of robust features that are available and the customization that you can do within the platform. I would also add that their customer service and training materials are very helpful and makes learning the system easier. They seem to have thought about a lot of details for their users making the workflows within the program easy to pickup on.So far I haven't experienced many downsides. One roadblock that I have ran into is not finding a way to input my crews time in a bulk action. This could be a solvable problem, I just haven't found the answer yet. Additionally, in my line of work, the pay rates can change between jobs and I havent found a good way to track that yet. I plan on reaching out to their customer service to assist me with finding these answers!
  • Project Management
  • Job Costing
  • Time Tracking
  • Daily logs
  • Estimating
  • Cost Codes
  • Ability to change wage rates depending on project / employee
  • Being able to hide costs on an estimate that the customer doesn't see.
I believe if you are trying to get organized and want a software that provides a all in one solution, Contractor Foreman is for you. They have thought about the entire process of a construction job, from estimating and pre-planning, to on the job activities, to financials at the end.

Scheduling and client portal are the two most critical components that Contractor Foreman has solidified for our organization. In addition to scheduling we also use the payroll function to track in real time what job sites or employees are at. These features have propelled our company to another level of service and efficiency.
  • Scheduling
  • Client Portal
  • Time Clock Management
  • Pricing if you don't use all the features
We would 1 thousand percent recommend this software to any company operating in the construction field. The ability to schedule all the various subcontractors along with inspections and draw payments gave us a tremendous amount of transparency with our customers. The client portal gives each client the ability to see how each job is progressing without having to call our admin team.

We create all estimates, convert them to projects and then manage the invoices against the estimates and send invoices out to the customers. We have not started scheduling through the package but plan to do so in the next 30 days. It has been an easy process and very user friendly.
  • Manages the paperwork on all projects
  • Makes it easy to create and send out change orders
  • Helps us to communicate to our office and customers in real time
  • Creates a sense of professionalism
  • I would like to see more canned cost categories
  • I would like to see them buildout a complete financial module instead of having to integrate with QB etc.
It’s seems to be all customizable and really lets us look and act like a larger general contractor. It is easy to use as all modules have similar ways to do things within the modules. This allows us to learn how to use specific modules faster. Areas for improvement: mobile app isnt as friendly as teh main program. That being said, I may not have had the training in the mobile app like I have the main program. Extremely satisfied thus far in general

We are a medium-sized general contractor company that specializes in land development, slurry walls, and vertical construction. With Contractor Foreman, we have an easier time implementing our new forums to our subcontractors and generating processes. The mobile app that Contractor Foreman has is easy for our superintendents to use and easy for everyone else too.
  • Schedule training sessions for users who are having a hard time using it.
  • Project handoff between the estimating department to the project management team.
  • Everything can be customizable to fit our company's needs
  • Some of the modules like checklists and forms are confusing and hard to use
  • some of the training videos or versions of an old outdated version of the software
  • Would like to see a more efficent way of creating a submittal log generated from a specification book
When our company gets awarded a project, the Contractor Foreman is easy to use when performing a handoff between the estimating team and the project management team. Just by clicking one button, the project gets transferred over to the management team with all the appropriate information for the budget. The estimate then becomes the budget and its very easy to create contracts for subcontractors.

Easy to use, intuitive and great customer support. Contract performing has allowed me to complete explanation within 45 minutes to an hour for it used to take me 2 days to complete an estimate. I have been looking for something that will fit our small mom and pop business which is a specialty market and could not find anything that would either : A. fit our needs or B. Fit our Budget... After about 6 months of searching I just happen to run across the name and searched them out.....during those 6 months I was quoted by another company $13,000.00 per year for use of their program.... with CF, I get everything I need (same as the other) for 3k..... NO brainer. And the "Trainers" are very helpful and take you step by step!!!
  • the flow process is simplified
  • tracking is simplified
  • navigation can be overwhelming at first but once you are use to it no problem
if you are looking to keep up with everything from the bidding process to the final invoice and not lose track, this is for you especially because there are others out there that offer the same features as CF but 10x the cost of CF
Perfect for the "mom and Pop" small business!

For the most part we feel that Contractor Foreman has the most options and uses for our business than any one else did. We provide electrical services and Contractor Foreman fits out company the best. It allows our workflows to run smoothly. We struggled with whether we should use a Service ticket or a Work Order in the beginning. But we played around and created test accounts and was able to figure things out. We also reached out to to the customer support and they have been excellent at helping answer our questions.

Our business is primarily focused on commercial HVAC systems construction with a little bit of commercial HVAC service thrown into the mix. The primary software the company had used for years was highly focused on the service side, it was well designed for service and service ticketing but it severely lacked in features needed for construction project management. We had found ourselves having to utilize multiple software products to accomplish the basic functions required for managing the project lifecycle.
Contractor Foreman integrates the features of several stand alone products into one great interface! We are no longer using one software for project management, another for ticketing and time cards, another for billing and invoicing, and yet another for reporting and financial tracking. Contractor Foreman has given our business the ability to see every area of project management we need to stay on top of our bottom line and remain competitive in the marketplace.
The job costing features alone have saved us thousands in unaccounted for or mis-applied job materials. The time tracking features provide us with a real time understanding of labor costs that are going into a job, which is something we always struggled with before. Overall we couldn't be happier with the difference Contractor Foreman has made to our overall productivity and profitability!
  • Project Management
  • Job Costing
  • Financial Tracking
  • Crew Scheduling and Time Tracking
  • Better customization of Estimate & Invoice Templates.
  • More EXCEL exporting options for all modules.
  • More developed Cost Item database with more field options for pricing and vendor selection.
Contractor Foreman is well suited for all aspects of our Commercial Construction, not so well adaptable to Service Ticketing.

We have been using Contractor Foreman for four years now. We use the platform for our CMR, Estimates, material costing, and invoicing. It has proven very capable with those functions. The development team is always trying to add features and improvements monthly, it has come a long way in the four years we have used it.
  • Estimates
  • Material costing
  • Loads of features to manage projects
  • Bugs happen regularly
  • Cant trust the timecards feature
  • User interface needs an overhaul
Contractor Foreman is far and away the best value we have received for a project management software. The amount of tools and support you receive from Contractor Foreman is completely worth the cost of the platform. We would be paying 10X the price for other software like ProCore or BuilderTrend. My main use of Contractor Foreman is to send estimates and invoices for each project. Contractor Foreman's platform greatly aids me in keeping track of what has been billed, Change orders, job progress, AIA billing, and daily work logs. We use it daily and it keeps us moving.

Contractor Foreman has been a wonderful tool for our company! We started using CF pre-pandemic and it has allowed me to manage multiple locations and remote workers because it's cloud based. I needed a system that would allow me to estimate, invoice, track purchase orders, store files, accessible from multiple locations, and most importantly be easy to use. When my friend introduced me to CF, I was able to go in and create an estimate within 15 mins never having used it. Once I did that I knew it was the right fit for our company!
  • Live feed and implementation of users ideas
  • Ability to see what my team is working on at all times from afar
  • Estimates
  • Project Management
  • Great for small businesses
  • More font and spacing items on Estimates to really make your contract clear
  • Adding a "Notes" section to the "Inclusions" and "Exclusions", because of lot times neither of these apply to my comments or concerns
  • Complex for new users
  • Quickbooks Intergration was a challenge for an existing business
Contractor Foreman has been able to help us get both of our locations on the same page. We are all now in one system, estimating the same way, have standardized procedures and processes, and this gives us the ability to scale as needed. Being in business for over 20 years gave us some challenges with QB Integration. Our customer base was too large and the syncing did not work well for us. We even tried to convert to QB Online, which did work better, but still not good enough for us to continue to use the integration feature. We will say the the support staff from CF was very good and worked with us for over 3 months to try to make the integration work before we called it quits. We're back to double entry on that front, but being able to link our two locations and standardize our procedures has by far been the best part of Contractor Foreman.

We use Contractor Foreman to schedule all our projects and keep all our project organized and on task, I love that you can keep note for specific projects for techs to go back and reference. The Financial tracking for each project also helps keep track of hours bid vs actual hours worked.
  • Project Management
  • Financial Management
  • Time Tracking
  • More or better integration with other software
  • Minor adjustments to Time Clock, Ability to round time cards to closet 15 min interval

We love Contractor Foreman, the project management makes running projects smooth and Finacial management makes sure everything lines up with your bids. I use Contractor Foreman for just about everything to do with our company. I am a trained cost estimator, and though the estimating module is likely their weakest, the one spectacular thing about this company is how hard they work to improve their product. Could they listen to their knowledgeable clients a bit more? Emphatically yes, but they seem to have muddled through the other upgrades fairly well, I'll reserve judgement until I see the upgrades.

We also use the program for back-office. Unfortunately we have unresolved issues with their payment system (it just does not work for us) but it seems to function well enough. The learning curve to integrate with Excel is rather long and complicated, but this module does an awful, lot, so we have been able to find 'workarounds' for what we need so far.

We use the time clock function, and it has the issues that ALL time clock apps have with connectivity, location tracking, etc., but they have been improving it a lot recently. The one place I would really love to see some love is the 'Invitation To Bid' functionality. This is a contractual 'step' in the bidding process and is not being treated that way, but I have hope they will see the light here as well.
  • Time/employee tracking
  • Contact directory
  • Permission structure (employee and client)
  • Estimating
  • Excel/Payment integration
  • 'Invitation To Bid' functionality
  • A written help product. Many of their chat techs are either new or behind the curve and there is no written help section to reference
In this case, CF is the best of the 'OK so far' category in my mind. NONE of the software available today gets close to a truly effective, user friendly GUI and functionality set. I have used 7 different systems over the years, with the top 4 big names having the largest hours operating. Most have less functionality, others are severely overpriced and under featured. Still others are so complicated you need an entire IT department to implement them. Contractor Foreman does much of what it does the absolute best for the money, meaning this is probably the best value for construction management software I'm aware of. I believe I can say with confidence, that if CF does it, it strives to do it well, and continues to strive to get it better. Picking a feature or two that excels is rather pointless in a company with that outlook. THAT is a company I can get behind...

We started out not using any software program at all. We used QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets to track projects. While this worked for us, we wanted something to help manage our day to day activities. We also wanted something that would be a one stop shop for all of our blueprints, email exchanges, receipts, etc. We researched at least 5 different companies before deciding on Contractor Foreman.
  • Calendar
  • Ability to make extra folders for managing files
  • Easily access reports w/ a multitude of options
  • Easily track spending
  • Directory issue / sometimes searches don't produce the vendor
Contractor Foreman has been well suited for our small construction business. We are still learning it, but have been impressed with the reports we can run, tracking our spending, and easily viewing our estimates. I also like being able to access it on my phone. The app works well for me.

Great software to consolidate our needs into one place. We have eliminated our time tracking, CRM and estimating systems. Love the flexibility to turn on what we need and turn off what we don't along will great role based security settings to be sure our employees are only seeing what matters to them. We're a small business and having a system that gives us full access to turn things on as we need them is great.
  • Estimates
  • Project management
  • Lead management - tracking where they are in the funnel and having web lead automatically pull into the system.
  • Creating an assembly in the Cost Database is an issue
  • No email integration to have Gmail pulled in and link messages from customers to their project for easy view
  • Estimate to create a template for email portion or have attachments with multiple points to initial when signing
  • General place to access all email templates and allow for customization versus needing to search for them.
Great for service and construction firms that need a sophisticated system to mange complex projects. It will work for smaller businesses however there is a lot to turn off and many features you can not turn off where they clutter up the dashboard or are linked in other places such as bidding and sub contracting in estimates.

We use Contractor Foreman for our estimating, bidding, client management, project management, scheduling, and job clock tools. Over time, we anticipate utilizing some of the other features it provides, but this was all we started with. We are a smaller residential contractor, completing about a dozen projects a year, from mid-sized remodels to full new custom homes. Contractor Foreman allowed us to streamline our workflow and speed up the process of getting accurate information to the field.

Contractor Foreman would be ideal for a capable contractor who is looking for systems to help grow and keep a team aligned. It is powerful and well thought through. Part of what makes it great is that they've built a system that doesn't just perform advanced tasks. It helps link them together. As a result, it is somewhat less flexible than other options. That meant, for us at least, that we had to adapt to the software instead of having it adapt to us. Neither good nor bad... just a challenge.

We use Contractor Foreman for lead tracking, estimate creation, the ability to have customers accept the proposal online, customer portal, daily logs, and job tracking. We love the integration with QuickBooks Online and that it automatically syncs with invoices, estimates, and customers in Quickbooks. This eliminates a lot of double-entry work. We are able to use the lead tracking system to create different phases of a lead. We then convert the lead into an estimate. This is a seamless process and requires little double entry. We can send the estimate, and the customer can digitally accept or decline it. There is an option to have optional line items for the customer to accept or decline when reviewing the estimate. Once an estimate is approved, the customer is copied to Quickbooks, along with the approved estimate.

We find Contractor Foreman to be awesome for building an accurate cost catalog of line items for estimates, editing the estimate, formatting it to just the way we want it to look, and sending it to the customer in several different options of formatting. We find that the scheduling is difficult and the calendar function is not something we use at all. We find that the time card function is really not that great and that you have to generate pdf reports and download them, which is time-consuming and clunky. We instead use T Sheets which has all of the reporting and filtering options right on the app. The daily log function is the most used function of this system as we use it every day, sometimes multiple times per day. It is great for keeping track of progress on the jobs!
