Great to send attendees reminders about upcoming sessions and schedule changes. Used the product during a recent event and it was helpful in sending updates and bringing the attendees together. So far, our sales team has been using CrowdCompass to find new and inventive ways to keep up with the changing trends in the hospitality industry. I help to manage the sales team but do not use CrowdCompass myself, so my review will be based off how my staff feels it is working so far.

I am the administrator for CrowdCompass in our organization. We integrate with Cvent and use it for our flagship conference which is 1,000 people from 85 countries every year. Besides myself, we have a couple of other users from my department and the marketing department to make sure everything is functioning and looks great.
  • It is so user-friendly! The learning curve was not all that steep.
  • I am not incredibly techy, and I have no problem using CrowdCompass whatsoever.
  • I have worked with two sales reps who have been incredibly helpful as well.
  • It has an organized user interface that makes it easy to make the app your own.
  • While it is easy to use, it is somewhat limited in what you can edit. I have never had something I wanted to and couldn't edit, but there is some give and take there.
We use it for our conferences and it works so well. It shows attendees their schedule, lets them network with other attendees, has maps of the venue and city, and we can send out push notification reminders and updates.

This year we stopped printing personalized schedules for attendees at our 1,000 person conference. Instead, their schedules were in the app. This accomplished several goals: it saved hours of work our interns used to have to spend merging and printing schedules, it saved money on printing, it saved paper (trees), and it drove up our app adoption rate. With more people using the app, were were able to communicate better with attendees, facilitate more in-app networking, and allow our attendees to boost our social media presence.
  • Event venue maps keep attendees from getting lost and save our staff time by not having to spend a lot of time doing wayfinding.
  • Networking and social. Our attendees love the social wall.
  • Schedules. Personalized schedules and updates in real-time.
It's great for our larger conferences. For smaller conferences and colloquia though, we prefer printing each attendee's materials and providing them in a folder. It's more personalized.

We use CrowdCompass with our client events. Our attendees can use the app to access documents, maps and their agenda. We occasionally use the gamification, but most of our meetings are corporate meetings and they do not have the time to play the game.
  • The appearance of the app is very professional.
  • Easy to access information in the app with easy to set up design.
  • The map feature is important to us.
  • Would like to be able to switch between app home page designs after the event is set up in case I want to change my mind. Currently, have to delete the entire event and start over.
  • Do not always want to use the game feature and there's no way to fully turn it off.
CrowdCompass is a must-have for all events and meetings. It's an easy way for attendees to find their schedules, register for other open sessions, and a great way to send them notifications during the event.

CrowdCompass is used for our annual conference. We needed a way to communicate with attendees - schedules, updates, conference layout, etc. As well as for the attendees to communicate with each other for networking purposes.
  • Integration with EventFlex was seamless - even with last minute changes
  • Customer support is top notch - fast and reliable
  • The mobile app is very sleek looking and intuitive for attendees to navigate
  • Loved that they provided marketing materials and how to docs to send our attendees, so that we didn't have to create them
  • The add to my schedule function needs improvement. It would have been nice to know the restrictions based on registration paths before we created those.
  • Polling functionality could be more robust
  • The map function was great, but wasn't intuitive on how to use. A lot of attendees didn't realize it was there unless we told them
CrowdCompass is great for mid-sized conferences for basic mobile app functions. We used it for our 500 person conference for networking, keeping track of schedules, conference layout, etc. I honestly think it could be used for smaller conferences or large. As long as it is set up correctly, the app should work for all sizes and types of events, from conferences to expos.

We use CrowdCompass primarily in the US across a broad range of departments. We utilize the integration with Cvent and it has been a game-changer for us. Having the agenda and speakers sync over into the app and not having to duplicate the work of re-building all that content in a separate system is awesome.

We use it at our larger meetings or multi-day conferences. They only offer it as a native app or web-based app. It can be accessed through a link but it's secured like the app so we have found it cumbersome for people attending shorter meetings to download an app or go through the web-based app process.

We use CrowdCompass for our annual conference app. I am the sole user of CrowdCompass and set everything up myself. We utilize features like schedule, speakers, FAQs, and attendees. Using the app lets us update schedules on the fly and push notifications to let anyone know of the changes.

If you are currently using cvent, it is a great add on since they sync information. This is helpful with keeping attendee information up to date in the app in case you have any last minute additions or cancellations. I really like the ability to attach files to sessions. This way we can share the presentations with attendees and update it last minute if needed.

We use CrowdCompass at our two flagship events, an advocacy conference and a large NYC conference. We use it to keep our attendees both engaged and informed before, during, and after the event. It allows us to go (mostly) paperless and impress our attendees. Both groups contain a mix of older and younger users. The younger group really adopts the technology, while the older appreciates the ease with which they can use the app.

Really good for companies who are using a mobile app at many events throughout the year. You can clone the design and brand it and the price gets better the more you use. We use CrowdCompass for the two conferences we hold annually. This has been a huge time-saver for us, as we no longer have to print any handouts for attendees, nor do we have to print out Speaker Evaluations and forms for attendees to complete their CE hours.

CrowdCompass was used by our marketing team to support our annual conferences. It was downloaded and used organization-wide at the event. We used it to connect our staff, attendees, and sponsors with our event. It helped support engagement initiatives and connect with attendees. It also provided access to information about our event and schedule.
  • CrowdCompass connected with our Cvent account made a seamless event experience.
  • CrowdCompass made it easy to get a custom app in front of our attendees.
  • CrowdCompass made it easy to navigate what was going on within our conference.
  • The grouping feature was hard to use. There was no import option, so to target specific groups of attendees, we had to manually enter each one.
  • The Live Polling didn't offer duplication of our theme/customization options, so we had to recreate each time.
  • I wish there was a feature to display the event feed to attendees on a monitor for further engagement.
If you are using Cvent to manage your event, CrowdCompass makes integration a breeze. All of our event data moved easily and automatically into the CrowdCompass app. I think there could be improvements relating to intuitiveness, but the convenience of the integration can't be matched. If you're not using Cvent, CrowdCompass is still a valid option, but I'm not sure how much better it'd be than a competitor.

We use CrowdCompass at our flagship events such as our annual conference. The app has really helped us to streamline communication and distribution of materials for attendees, increased attendee engagement through live polling, live Q&A, gamification and enhanced networking capabilities and helped us to reach our goal of going paperless at these events.
  • The app is easy to navigate and set up so it does not require a lot of time and training to implement.
  • Includes all of the features you need such as live polling, live Q&A, surveys, gamification, attendee messaging and contact sharing, etc., which has had a significant effect on attendee engagement at our flagship events.
  • As a leader in the events industry, Cvent is always introducing new updates and features to stay up to date with the latest technology and trends in the market.
  • It is fairly expensive and you pay per event so it isn’t feasible for us to be able to use at our smaller scale events.
  • Login process can be a little confusing and requires several steps but they have made improvements to this process.
Well suited for large conferences, trade shows or multi-day events. It is great for encouraging attendee engagement through features such as live polling, live Q&A, gamification, social wall, etc. and it is great for networking as it allows attendees to send 1:1 messages to each other, schedule appointments and exchange contact details directly through the app. It is not well suited for smaller scale events due to the cost.

We used the app for our company user conference. It was used for scheduling, sending event alerts and reminders, communicating with attendees, and posting event content.

  • Look and feel was good and on-brand.
  • Good that it syncs with your LinkedIn profile.
  • The sign-in process didn't work for a strangely large number of our users/attendees. Had to have the app admin sign us in on the backend.
  • It's link to Cvent. We had a lot of operational difficulties with using Cvent.
For managing a list of contacts/attendees at an event, scheduling capabilities, notifications, and general event info, it was great. I think that there are many things however that can just as easily be done with native apps that everyone is already using anyway—a bit strange to ask users to use a new app to do something that they are already very used to doing with other apps.

Our department uses CrowdCompass for all of our North America regional Professional Development events and our annual global conference. By having information readily available for participants on a very straightforward app, we're cutting our use of paper collateral in an effort to be more sustainable. We're also able to communicate with attendees in a more timely manner.

  • Compatible on at least 2 mobile operating systems and has a web view, perfect for everyone.
  • Invitation emails can be confusing

I find that CrowdCompass is well suited for events of 200-2,500 people. It doesn't make sense for smaller events from a financial standpoint (at least from our experience). We have not trialed it for events larger than 2,500 attendees, so we cannot speak to it from that sense. Also not fantastic with less technologically-literate participants.

We use CrowdCompass as a way to engage our event participants in a fun manner. We have used the real time session selections. I love that we are able to customize the widgets and upload exactly what we need and want to appear. I also love that we can upload our own, custom graphics to make the look and feel of the app represent our brand. The push notifications are great for sending out new and exciting information and continuing the engagement.

CrowdCompass is great for large groups of people. This is especially the case when you have sessions or activities that the attendee is allowed to choose from. You can choose them in real time. We use CrowdCompass at a biannual event that we host. It helps us communicate with attendees, share information about the event and sessions, distribute marketing, and overall manage our event more succinctly and efficiently. I am the administrator and approximately 300 people use the app at the actual event.

It is used by our Event planners of our Education Team and by our Leaders/Volunteers etc. through Cvent app.
As a non-profit organization, this really helps us promote our brand, keep our volunteers and attendees/participants connected, engaged and productive. We house our events and year-round communications within a single mobile app, making an easily accessible and centralized location for all your end-user information. The check-in and badge pickup process have been refined after using this app.
  • Managing Registrations, Member Lists, and real-time Communications have been very effective and easier.
  • Integrating CrowdCompass with onsite attendance tracking and appointment scheduling creates a more seamless experience for attendees and an event that’s easier to manage. By integrating with CrowdCompass, all our Cvent data will easily transfer directly into your mobile event app once you’ve input your event information and registrants into OnArrival.
  • Cloning events makes things much faster, we just have to decide the components and make adjustments.
  • Measure, Track Engagement/Capture Feedback Surveys are all at one place.

We used CrowdCompass along with Cvent for our annual user conference. The interface is somewhat easy to navigate but definitely could use some reconfiguring. We used the app for a single event and the sign-on and customization was great. All our users were also pleased with the app. Only 2 of our marketing users were in charge of the app. The ability to sign on with multiple people would be nice, without the extra charge. It seemed like most of the features were 'extra charge'.
