We use it for event management, registration, surveys, mobile app, and emarketing and publications for our company.
  • Registration is very easy with the drag and drop features in flex
  • New Surveys are so much easier than the older version. Drap and drop features here as well.
  • Socail tables, now diagramming and seating is seamless
  • Commiunity information should be available under the new look/experience of Cvent.
  • The administration courses should be broken down to simplify learning.
  • QR codes should be implemented in the new surveys.
Registrations with multiple attendee paths, your complex events are easy to handle in Cvent. Utilizing the mobile app along with registration becomes a little more diffeicult and why do new features costing so much?

I like the drag and drop features in Cvent. The widgets make it easy to put together a flowing registration.

There are 26 people within our district that utilize Cvent event managment. Every district has multiple users as well. throughout the organization I would say anywhere from 75-100 people utilize Cvent event managment for events, and simple surveys with events.

One is the system administrator, and the other is certified the same path. We have a learning path that in order to be a effective administrator, you must be certified in all the products utilized. Being certified gives the administrator a vast knowledge on how to handle the product not just give access to products.

This is a wonderful tool which is almost limitless. Users should be creative and not afraid to try new ideas and get them to work in the system. Cvent has a strong customer service department that can help make your idea come to life. They are only a call away and if they cant make it work, they will find a work around.

Cvent is used for our company's national sales meeting and provides tools to keep the meeting running smoothly especially registration. We have small training events at our home office which don't require the use of Cvent.

  • We had a large ROI when we used Cvent on-site management for multiple tasks at last year's sales meeting, but because of budget cuts, we will not have the same support this year. It's concerning to fellow staff members.
  • When Cvent's on-site staff is in attendance at our sales meeting, the tasks and behind the scene jobs are performed seamlessly. They work well with our staff to complete all functions of the show.
  • During registration, the guests have constantly complimented our staff on the ease of using Cvent's technology.
Cvent Event Management has been used by my company for years, even before I joined the marketing department. I have heard that there were issues using Hubb Conference Management like with their "intuitive" staff calendars with automatic conflict notifications to avoid double-booking which did not work the way they expected.

I would evaluate the staff the completes the building of our registration website through cvent. By capturing more information during registration, we can avoid errors during the in person registration process. I would also like the mobile app to be a little more robust. Attendees prefer all information on their mobile device through the app rather that via email.

At our sales meeting the onsite staff member was able to step in and help with a growing line and impatient attendee. Each day of the meeting they returned with a positive outlook and were a pleasure to work with. They felt like a member of our internal staff and had fun during long hours.
Overall usability of cvent is a positive experience. We continue to return to this product not only for our annual sales meeting but for smaller events throughout the year as well. The reporting structure is useful to pull information about arrival times, dietary restrictions, and much more. Having these details helps our planning committee throughout theirprocess.

Our staff has access to everything & love that speakers are responsible for uploading their own information. Custom branding & custom website. We use for our major conference each year. It is easy to use & once you have the hang of it, it's seamless.

My organization uses Cvent Event Management as a portal to both promote our city and its venues as well as to communicate with event planners.
  • Cvent allows planners to discover cities and/or venues they may not have otherwise considered.
  • Cvent has continued working to integrate both DMOs and venues in the RFP distribution process.
  • Launched the RFP Showcase which allows DMOs and Venues to respond to RFPs they may be a fit for but were not selected to receive.
  • There is an awful lot of clicking in Cvent. A more streamlined system would not be a bad thing.
  • Cvent was definitely designed for hotels and not DMOs. There are several features in the program that are not relevant to entities promoting an entire location over a specific venue.
Cvent is well suited for planners looking to distribute an RFP to a variety of cities, venues, etc. It is also appropriate to use during the discovery process. It is a wonderful place for event organizers to find a variety of locations that can fit their event. For second and third-tier cities it is a wonderful way to get the name out and possibly get it on a planner's radar.

The account reps we have had while using Cvent have been great. They are always able to answer our questions and assist with what we need.

Sales and marketing both use Cvent. The sales team uses Cvent to respond to RFPs while the marketing team ensure the information about our city is up to date and relevant.

I was looking for a way to monitor how many RFPs are received by venues in my destination that the DMO is not copied on. My account rep was able to provide me with the perfect solution to this questions.
  • It is easy to update the venue listing and add new images for the destination
  • Messaging event planners is quite easy
  • The proposal system is a bit cumbersome and not very applicable to DMOs
There are some portions of the system that need practice and a help desk to become proficient in, but otherwise it is relatively easy to use.
