D&B Connect is truly a lifeline to our company when evaluating potential customers and reviewing current customers' financial health. We utilize the program weekly, and it allows our teams to get a more in-depth look at who we're doing business with. I highly recommend the program. The only slight downside is the overall cost, which is higher than we would like.
  • Customer Financial Health.
  • Customer Payment History.
  • Domestic & International Use (for an additional fee).
Cons
  • The cost is high.
  • International reviews are not included (additional fee).
Overall, the program can assist any size company with all credit reference needs. We have not run into any issues other than the overall cost of the program and the fact that you have to use additional funds to seek information on international customers.

Was Good earlier but other tools are much better, Expensive, ROI may not be met.

We Used D&B mainly for sales intelligence, we used this tool to find people who had the intention of taking services similar to what we offer. We used the tool to search people mainly in the US and India. The main problem is the reach the right people at the right time, D&B helps in identifying them, this narrows down the number of people we need to approach to make our pitch. I guess they use cookies to identify the people from companies who search the net for particular services and thus letting us know the intent to buy.
  • Searching people who have the intent to buy your services or products.
  • It has as very good filter that helps pinpoint your targeted audience.
  • It has a large pool of contacts within the company, so helps to reach out to the right person via several connections.
  • The data available is fresh and current.
Cons
  • Further breakdown of industries can be done.
  • Executives who are decision makes can be indicated in a better way.
  • Too expensive.
It is best suited when you don't want to just spray and pray kind of a scenario, this helps in targeting just the right people for making a sale. You can search people based on industry, function, level of seniority, geography, designation, etc. Mostly there are no scenarios where it is not appropriate in particular, if you don't want buyer intent data then in that case it is expensive and you can look for other options.

Has some good features, helps streamline data management and has good cleansing & analytics capabilities. Helps with daily prospecting and filtering accounts/contacts.

We use it to assess Risk when extending Credit to our customers. We also use it to set new contract rates annually for our existing customers. I'm in the database at least three times per week.
  • Credit Portfolio.
  • Multi-state vendor look-up.
  • Detailed credit pictures.
Cons
  • A search using TAX ID or FEIN numbers.
  • Updated list of LLCs in each state.
Minimizing risk in bringing new clients aboard and establishing the proper credit guidelines for existing clients.
