We use Darwinbox for employee record management. Everything from leaves, performance reviews, company policy documents, etc. are handled on this tool. The people team also use Darwinbox to gauge if an employee feels burnt out, if they want to share their grievances with the people team. Tax declarations & pay slips are also managed on it.

  • Some of the process flows need improvement such as being able to save the draft at the time of performance reviews

  • Leave management has helped plan bandwidth to better serve customers on the CX front. This has reduced the impact of unavailability.
  • Easy tracking of performance to ensure low performers receive adequate training

Darwinbox helps us in managing our leaves, info about our work report, our appraisal cycle, information about holidays, and our daily tasks, helps with payroll service, and provides all information at the same place. It even helps to let us know who is on leave in our organisation and also provides training recommendations for us to grow.

  • It is basically alot good for Attendance and leave management
  • Helps in Payroll and salary calculations and appraisals
  • Is alot good for analytics and to know about tasks and whats going in the firm

  • It can improve its UI a little better and make it look more user friendly
  • It can provide a deep analysis about things and should provide a download feature for the analytics shown
  • It should increase its scalability for large organisation as i think it wont be able to handle it

We solve different problems like we don't need to maintain the records of employees like attendance and employee salary-related data stored on the cloud and it is easy for the managers to maintain and user friendly. We also maintain all the tax and salary related information into the Darwinbox. Darwinbox also helps us for the leave related activity which we can easily sync with the third-party application.

Darwinbox for the ages

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since October, we needed to switch to a different HR Processor since the previous product we were using was expiring. We came across Darwinbox from recommendations. Darwinbox has been integrated with our payroll system to provide the best automated process. At times we use this feature for all of our employees.

Pros

  • Maintaining Attendance from payroll with HR.
  • Employees self portal to ask for PTO or to check hours.
  • User Interface is user friendly for our employees.

Cons

  • The app version is a bit lankier than the pc version.
  • Interface customization would be great for individuals wanting to change style.
  • No other real issue to improve, possibly lower the price but that's not too bad.

  • The interface is very easy to manage.
  • The payroll system is fast and efficient for HR.
  • The commodity of a very well packaged system is helpful for our employer.

Return on Investment

  • Since we did switch from another program Darwinbox has been very easier for our employer.
  • The price is a bit high for a mid size company level but its not the end of the world.

  • While the desktop version looks great, the mobile app needs a lot of improvement in terms of speed and UI design.
  • The payroll modules also need some work.

  • The ability to view the organization structure and functional structure for the entire company.
  • One-stop solution for talent acquisition, payroll, leaves, reimbursements, attendance (time-sheet), holidays, etc. So I don't have to open a lot of different apps.
